Sold all my btc and will be remaining in cash during this price down turn.
I plan to scale back in when the down turn shows sign of reversal.
I started a mining farm with 3 friends last JAN 2018 and deployed:
12x1060

18x570
4x580
we rented out a room which means we have recurring monthly rent cost.
we installed internet service which means we have recurring monthly internet cost.
we cant stop mining unless we pay the pretermination cost on the room and internet,
both contracts are 24months long.
i will crunch some numbers to find at what price btc should drop to which makes profits drop to zero.

The temps on the 6x zotac 1070 minis on this onda D1800 board is bordering on unacceptable for me.
Acceptable to me is all cards running equihash below 65C. The hottest card#0 ~ 68C and card#4 ~ 66C.
I already put a 9inch industrial fan(45W) blowing directly from the back. The fan is centered on the card#2 and is blowing from the back to the hot aisle/section of the room.
The hot aisle/section has a 14" industrial exhaust fan taking the air out. This creates negative pressure.
There is an open window to the outside beside/near the exhaust fan.
We stick on some insulation board/material so as to funnel outside/colder air away from the exhaust fan so that it only exhaust hot air and hopefully the colder air will circulate to the cards.
Suggestions to get the temps down would be appreciated.

I have the onda d1800 riserless motherboard and am trying to run a sapphire nitro 570 4gb on it.
I downloaded rx os dagfix zip file. Unzipped it then used etcher to write it to my usb flash drive.
I plugged the usb flash drive in to one of the usb ports on the board and powered on.
It started booting with some text flashing on the screen then the screen went blank.
no error messages. no blinking cursor. nothing I press on the keyboard affects the screen. not even ctrl-alt-delete.
do I just leave it running and plugged in to the network? is it updating with a blank screen?

Thanks for the reply guys. I was able to enter the bios so no loose memory or power cables for me.
Figured it out. Had to flash my board to the latest bios.
Scary 3 minutes with NO UPS.
For those with same issue on the ONDA D1800, I made a bootable DOS usb stick and flashed using the tool/bios from the ONDA site.

To run nvoc properly, I think I need to disable the IGD.
I tried to disable the IGD in the bios.
I installed a pcie gpu(gtx1060) on pcie1 slot.
I connected a monitor to the gpu on pcie1.
I powered on, no display on the monitor.
I connected a monitor to the builtin vga on the board, no display on the monitor.
Am I doing something wrong? Help???

Rule of thumb:
0. Ensure your board boots, press ON button, listen for beep, if not then reseat DDR3 RAM and ensure all cabling tight and secure
1. Most BIOS defaults at GPU0 for monitor (PCI slot closest to CPU)
2. To use ONDA onboard mobo graphics - you actually need to change BIOS
3. In use smOS or nvOC, no changes required in BIOS to get mining running.
4. Plug monitor at GPU0, save BIOS and let it run.
5. logically Win10 will probably same as above.
6. I use smOS Linux mostly for my rigs - for ease of deployment, except for VEGA/Win10 and older rigs 1080ti Equihash/nvOC

Is the total rig cost for deploying 4xVega56 optimally higher due to memory requirements for activating HBM2? i.e. 32GB REQUIRED?

Hi, I'm sorry for the late reply. In the zar file you will find the original and the two modded roms. The rom that I'm currently using is the one ended with 900mV. I'm using Win10 pro(not activated), claymore 10.0, AMD blockchain driver Aug 23rd, and MSI AB beta 16. Both core and mem voltages of my card are set in the bat file. I'm using MSI AB only to set the fan speed because I found Claymore somehow ignore all of the fan setting I put it in the bat file. One trick for the fan setting with AB is to unsyn all card setting and set each of them to the default mem-core speed then apply the fan-speed one by one. My card runs about 59-61C- 29.2 Mh/s at 1150-2050 settings and it draws 117W dual-mining and 86W ether only. Your card may run hotter because i'm from Illinois and it is pretty cool this time of the year.

I am guessing they would be fine on open air/no case build?
