Bitcoin scaling problem will be solved
by

Im not a brilliant programmer, I dont even have fancy tittle, the things that I can just proudly say for now, is ive been an activist back in my freshman and im also just a big fan of this crypto and the technology behind it, Cause it empowers people, can help prevent few people abuse thier power if this bitcoin and blockchain is raise well like our own son, well cared and sustained.

Its scalability well be solved, this was the same problem faced back then when the internet was new. It was hard back then to send messages.

Kilobytes messages back then takes few hours, megabytes takes few days it takes longer days for bigger bytes of data to reached its destination. Look at that problem today, we can even send gigabytes in few seconds.

Bitcoin is still young, it just need to be sustained of proper codes by the brilliant programmer. We must support it, stop listening to those critics. most of them are the same critics that says bitcoin will burst or in doubt in this new technology, the same people whom are the benefeciary of centralized system.

We should encourage its mass adaption, we must tell people of its great potential, how it empowers the unbanked. giving them the capability to engage in global economy, how it can disrupt the centralized system that reward greed people and how it can possibly change the world.

By that we can encourage great young minds to contribute in this great technology and let's all hope that the problem bitcoin faced today will be solved. Thats not impossible, because if the criticism of those people against bitcoin is all true on the first place. Bitcoin, the other cryptocurrency and even this forum should have gone long ago.

With bitcoin, blockchain and other crypto in front, the future is bright. I believed in that. let's make it happen! Let's make it fast! Let's do our part to make this world fair and better place for all of us!

Re: How to explain the value of bitcoin
by

In the field of economics, it says that, there are characteristic to determine if an object has value.

First, scarcity, if X (E.g. Bitcoin) has LIMITED supply then MAYBE it has value. Same in the nature of gold, gas and other minerals, one of the reason why its very expensive and it's getting more expensive as the time pass because it has limited supply.

If you read it carefully I use the word "maybe" because scarcity dont mean value, It's a factor that affects the value. If X is scarce but it has no use or not needed, it wont matter.

my analogy for this is:

my dog does 2 poop a day. for the first 4 years thats a total of 2920. poops
for the next 4 years, my dog only does 1 poop a day. thats 1460 poops
then for the last 4 years of life. only 1 poop every 2 days. thats 730 poops

my dogs poop is scarce, only 5110 poops will be available... want some?.. its more scarce than bitcoin
.. reply. nope

If you have 4000 poops or 4 nobody wants dogshit.
Above you an other calling it a hype.
Hype or not it triggers demand and high prices.
Scarcity has nothing to do with demand or supply.

We have no Koala in zoo's in Europe or the USA, so no koala poop.
No demand for koala poop either so it has no value although scarce.

You need demand.
Demand is the only thing that adds value to a item or commodity.

You have good point there, demand is very important thats why, as I said you have to also consider #2 the intrinsic value. Anything wont have demand if it has no intrinsic value

I dont get your point, why does poop was use? And why seems scarce is a main point you consider and not the whole idea? I dont see any relevant argument you have? Seems like you had suffer from major dip so your dumping here your emotion

How to explain the value of bitcoin
by
hercules006

The attacks in bitcoin are mostly headed in to the argument that bitcoin has no value. Though there are a lot of argument to throw, I will share some point to invalidate their argument. Because it's really invalid.

X must have viable use, that would lead us to the second principle of economics.

The "intrinsic value" can we use bitcoin? will it ease our life? Does it have a viable use? Guest what? Its a YES! With bitcoin we can send money around the world, fast and secure without any intermediary. Directly! Anytime! anywhere! online.

Without bitcoin or other crypto those characteristic of money that is present in bitcoin (e.g divisible into millidecimal, fast, secure etc) is imposible to find on FIAT! Stop on that. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! Tell them.

To sum up, according to the principle of economics, to know if X has value it must posses some characteristics which is

1. Scarcity
2. Intrinsic value

Does bitcoin had those kind of characteristics? Yes! Its scarce and has intrinsic value. So according to economics, BITCOIN HAS VALUE! Tell it to them, then leave.

If you find this valueable dont forget to merit me! Yaaay!  Grin

The Price of bitcoin due to expiring future contract
by
hercules006
on 27/01/2018, 14:25:10 UTC
I bump to a lot of news in the groups and discussion in sovial media about the price of btc may go up or down becuase of that expiring future contract.
My thought is, I dont think it will hugely affect the price of btc, becuase of the limit per contract, I mean look, why would you spend a lot of money to manipulate the btc for a small amount? Manipulating btc would be costly, and hard, becuase of its volatility, few news comes up and the market over react. If it happen, your plan would be rekt. So. Idont think, these expiring future contract will matter most.
Whats your thoughts in these subject?

I also downloaded the Eidoo on my smartphone while waiting for the airdrope, and after a few days I read that a few dozen applications from the Google Play Market turned out to be a scam that steals data from the smartphone and these applications are disguised as the purse of some token or coin. After this information, I suddenly wanted to remove the Eidoo from my smartphone)))

and yet, I did not get my airdrop from EHNLend of the Eidoo, now it even more leads me to suspicion Grin

If ever, will they have access to my data even its encrypted?

I'm new user of this Eidoo wallet, installed two weeks ago because I heard about the giveaway. Is it distributed already? Anyway, I forget my password but I still keep the 12 words back up phrase. Do you know how to reset password? I tried find it on the application but I found nothing to reset password. It will be great if you can help me.

It was located in your preferrences below your app screen.
Btw, have you tried storing token or eth there?

I'm unable to log in so it is impossible to access the "preferences" menu, should I create new account to back up my previous wallet? Is this the way to get my previous account back? Sorry if I misunderstand it, I'm very new to this wallet so not understand all the available features on it.

Try reading this man, this will solve your problem. All direction is written. https://medium.com/eidoo/how-to-backup-eidoo-private-keys-ce2a7ebdae7f I never tried it really, I just read it before, so hope for the best. Smiley
