Around 7% of supply is still in Cryptopia. Situation is artificially bullish for the markets at coin exchange.io assuming portion of that would be on the sell side

Devs nor anyone else didn't respond to this btc.ee case...and same time price is skyrocketing. Is the conversation about this coin somewhere else?

My case would be:
1) e-residency
2) set up company to Estonia and get bank account
3) trade my bitcoins to company b/a as EUR via mothership
4) invest and do stuff at Tallinn

Anyone any idea how much the tax would be for the sold bitcoins profits in Estonia if it's done officially via mothership as part of those footsteps I described.? Tax-free? :O

Do you mean the new chain will have a "maximum" of 10 million? ... I take it Cryptopia doesn't want to participate in the swap?

10 million is the minimum supply . After swaps done by coinexchange and manual swaps are completed we would burn the extra supply which has not been claimed out of 10 Million coins after the close of manual swap window .
Please move your coins from wallets and other exchanges to coinexchange for swaps .

What if (my) coins are staying in Cryptopia? They support the swap? Cannot expect everyone reacting this quickly..

Just have to remember there's about 215 000 new ZEC/ZCL/ZEN every month and to maintain the current prices markets have to eat quite a lot of new coins. Monthly volume is no where near in those levels it could absorb current emission so I believe there's a big hoarding going on from miners. Market cap rises fast just because of the emission. If the prices spike more from now we could see a big correlation once miners stop hoarding and cash out against fat buy support. Which sounds very crypto-like.

Yeah, the entire cryptosphere is in a bubble right now, so everything is enjoying a high at the moment.  You're posting a sensible view that, unless there's enough demand, these could see lower values.  ZClassic hit above $10 recently, meaning it's now returned over 34 multiples from its low to high.

That's a nice return. Only very few catch the bottom, but for many investors these has been a nice ride so far. Can you count how much Market Cap multiply during that same span to recover my point of the emission?

Good question. I am in AntShares because of that. And to Burst because of PoSpace / PoStorage. Is there some others coming, PoElapseTime I've heard as well... Makes sense to hedge against PoW & PoS systems with some amount.

Shift hit 65k what happened?

I think someone just accidentally purchased a load of shift for almost a dollar per coin. Oops.

I found few buy and sell orders on Bittrex that created the price movement.Maybe something more is going on Livecoin, but I don't have a account there. Can somebody take a look at livecoin?

Here are the screenshots:

http://i.imgur.com/gZwYxCB.png

http://i.imgur.com/an2RqoJ.png

There was automated maintenance going on for 15 hours (as shown in your screenshot). During maintenance price showed different in my wallet and when looking chart, I was wondering it. Then maintenance finished and market opened and there was some strange trades at first with high price. But combined volume is very small in those high trades. So it definitely doesn't reflect what total asks were up to that price in markets. Someone who had sell orders between 30k-60k can confirm their orders not filled?

For technical trading point of view it gives false signal that this is ATH and it should be fixed by BitTrex with explanation what happened. So we don't give thoughts this was orchestrated fomo by insiders or anything similar.

With ZCash having such a large funding from the founder's reward for marketing and development, why try running a "community" funded coin?

What makes Zencash have a better chance and standout from the rest of the crowd of privacy coins?

Monero as a community funded coin is a huge exception due to the innovative technology behind it, but I really want to know what Zencash wants to do differently.

This isn't a troll post, but more of a genuine question to ask. Thank you.

This is very good question. Current difference in ZCash vs ZenCash technology is those 2 major things. What is the strategy after 23May? Time after time do same incremental changes than ZCash but with own "Zen flavour"? Or take completely different path aiming where? Is there any concrete example we can chew on what can we expect from Zen?

I got this from Bittrex :
"Apr 11, 07:46 PDT

Hi,

We are looking into our options with zcl/zen but do not have any concrete decision yet. The new site is coming in a month or two.

Thank you,

Ryan @ Bittrex"

Little off topic: I originally asked why they removed "TOP 50 wallet distribution chart" section from their site as I found it extremely useful to monitor what bigger wallets were doing when trading smaller coins sometimes only listed at Bittrex. I was also worried that there had happened something and they are now in need of hiding wallet distributions. But apparently this was done ahead of new site launch which should be in following months without further explanation.

Is there confirmation that Bittrex will support the coin swap? Appologies if this was covered in previous part of the thread.

Any idea when we have answer if BitTrex is going to support fork and create automatically ZEN accounts for ZClassic holders? This would work much easier for many including me. Let's say BitTrex will do it, what are the risks then involved?

Nice bull market
The problem I'm seeing is the same as with some other smaller cryptos...there's no real buy support or vol. Price might have been getting higher over the last 4 days but once the rise stops you can expect someone dumping/cashing out and then the price is back in 1k sats..

30 BTC is no real volume?

It's still a week away from the release...
it's doing fantastic really.
30 BTC real volume? If I own 2.7M SYS (Sell worth of 30BTC) and want to sell those now at Polo price goes down to 0.8k sats. TOP2 balances even in Bitrrex own totally 13.5M SYS. Without real buy support and vol the real interest is not there.

Price has held stable levels for month now, just because there is one buyer want to exit that is the nature of markets and very natural.

thats true and dev continue 100% in proyect

the price is NOT STABLE now.

In fact it is in CRITICAL condition, like this project.  On Bittrex, its only BTC to 10k.

There is only 18BTC buy support.

Not stable.

School books taught that letting fundamental flaw get into product in early stages of development is highly costly to fix later after launch. Ethereum is having these kind of problems and backlashing now.

So I am happy to see this project having a leader who has the balls to stop the train now and halt to fix this issue when it's still low-cost. We should look a big picture indeed and be patient.

I see one with bigger stack got cold feet because turn of events with devs and decided to split. I'm fine with that.

After read and view all videos about you and your projects, i want to tell you that:

Hats off for Doken doing all this research about Tau. Don't mind negative comments you did a heck of a job! If someone else does this much research and comes out with points I am definitely listening and giving value. Cheers!

And I agree that something isn't the best way it could be when it comes to economic/marketing aspect. But I haven't decided is it a good or bad thing for my personal slice I want to put on this project Cheesy

Since after all one has to develop economical part over tau, using tau's unique features, we're going to do it as Agoras. And we do need to distribute the coins somehow, hence the presale.

Can you explain more about this? What can I do, in terms of interfacing with Tau, with Agoras? Is it just another cryptocurrency that is just built using Tau, or does it have some special status or feature within Tau Chain? Why would anyone want to own Agoras over another cryptocurrency within Tau, or outside of Tau for that matter?

Agoras is indeed "just another app" over tau. This is important to bear in mind. Everyone can create more currencies over tau, and tau doesn't have a coin as for itself.

But Agoras is of course far beyond a cryptocurrency. It will have markets for trading code for money in a totally secure and trustless way (as in Code and Money blogpost), allow renting computational power with or without verification of execution, renting professionals in video conference and micropayments, smart contracts, pay-for-proof wheter it's math homework or a program to write, decentralized intelligent search engine, and even more.

What makes people who trade code asking Agoras in return of their services? Same applies for the other suggested markets, what obliges people to start using Agoras? They could ask, accept and take e.g. BTC, fiat or some other “app currency” instead?

Is there strong enough incentive for early adaptors and early coders to start asking compensations and stick in Agoras and what is that incentive? How sure it is that Agoras will be accepted as “the money” over tau? If not so and there’s no trading volume after IPO, price starts going down and coders easily abandon the Agoras ship…

The marketcap is 7 million USD. The project looks cool but I'm not sure if this should be valued at more than 1 million dollars right now today.

This looks like a strong idea even though I don't understand much of the white paper details. Is Tau-Chain purely valued through this Agoras? If later someone wants to use Tau-Chain to solve some problem they buy Agoras (from market?) and pay for the usage of Tau-Chain network (how pricing the usage?). I understood inside Tau-Chain own rules can be set for that so can they make a rule to let someone use lot of computing power without charging anything? Or maybe I don't understand the logic where the value of Agoras might come..

If one Agoras is around 0.0006 and market cap is 7M USD or 30000 BTC (where to see the market cap?), then little over 50M Agoras is owned by people? And there is 147B Agoras to be shared. So 0.034% of the total amount is shared at the moment? Are my conclusion/numbers correct?
