Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone

If you be given a gift of 1BTC by someone and for you this amount is already something you did not expect. Will you sell your bitcoin right away and convert it into cash or just keep it for a better price to come or invest it or what?
1 bitcoin is already a huge amount of bitcoin nowadays. If im going to receive 1 bitcoin from someone, i will not spend any of that. I will invest it so that it will grow more and i will gain profit. Also, i will only spend my bitcoin in the future to buy all the things that i want like a house and a sports car.

Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic
by

Is it enough to be smart with just nothing to lean on and go on with your life? Because i feel that there are a lot of people who doesn't know how to handle their money with regards to see in the future. Is it enough to be smart and not be strategical or somewhat a person who has a lot of experience. Who would you choose?

For me it is required to be a master of both things like of course you can not have experience if you are not going to try and some people would think it's a waste of their time if they are doing what they know already like repeating their work over and over again. So it should be in a balance.
Both being a smart person and strategic person are important skills that we should obtain for us to survive to the daily challenges that we face in our lives. But if youre only going to choose one, i think being strategic person is better than being smart. Not all problems can be solve by a smart person but a strategic person can.

Re: Mining with mobile device
by

Is mining with mobile device a profitable venture today? I read a bit about this and learned that Monero maybe worth mining. then there's Electroneum as well. I wanted to know from other's experience.

One might ask why spend on buying phones. Instead get a PC. Thing is I have few old phones that I can't sell, I want to see possibility of getting some cost back before giving/throwing them away
Ive tried mining with my mobile device and its not working. I think it is only a waste of time and may cause my mobile to broke. Ive watched many videos about mining and they spend a lot of money to buy some expensive computer parts for their mining and earn only a small amount of bitcoin.

Re: When will more retailers accept Bitcoin

"Japan: No Bitcoin Tax, Thousands of Stores to Accept the Cryptocurrency"

article published July, 5, 2017
https://edgylabs.com/2017/07/05/japan-no-bitcoin-tax-stores-accept-cryptocurrency/

"AirRegi is a widely used, tablet-based point-of-sale app in Japan. Currently, around 260,000 establishments, stores, and commercial facilities use this proprietary app to accept payments from their clients."

It makes sense that a transition to accept bitcoin would be underway for more US-based stores.
I think more retailers will accept bitcoin as a way of payment for about 5-10 years from now. It will take a long time because bitcoin is not yet famous around the world. Most of the countries have fewer knowledge about bitcoin thats why they cant cope up with it especially the retailers.

Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin?

What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink
Bitcoin has many advantages as well as disadvantages that may greatly affect our lives. For me, i think the greatest disadvantage of bitcoin is that, losing a lot of money instead of gaining profit. Bitcoin is about taking a risk for you to earn a lot of profit. Keep in mind that not all the time we can gain profit because sometimes we can lose some or we can be scammed by someone.

Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC?

I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?
I think some of the billionaire knew about bitcoin and thats their way to generate more money. They invest a lot of money to it and wait for a long time and harvest a huge amount of profit. Maybe most of the billionaires became billionaire because of bitcoin and some of them became billionaire because of their own business and their hard works.

Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ?
by

I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?
In my own opinion, i think bitcoin will still survive until 100 years but i dont think it will be as good as today. 100 years is a very long time and it is enough for the other cryptocurrencies to grow and develop more. There may be new cryptocurrencies that will rise and surpass the capabilities of bitcoin and as a result, people will use the new and improved cryptocurrency rather than bitcoin.

Re: Is it better to save money or invest it?

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
It depends to you where are you good at or comfortable with. If youre okay with investing your money online, go with it but if you have trust issues about it, you can invest in real estate or gold. Before investing your money to any of the companies, you need to do a research first in the background of the company you want to invest.

Re: Saving Bitcoins for your Children.

Like every other investment such as real estate, stocks and other forms of investment we know that you can invest in that kind of things and then you get something like say a Certificate or a Binding Document as a proof that you are part of that investment, now that of bitcoin all you have is just your address, your password, key and seeds as proof of the ownership of the wallet.

BTC

So now if one is considering buying bitcoins and saving for his/her children in the future is there any way to do that with bitcoins apart from having to write down your details somewhere. I'm asking because with that kind of stuff if no one knows your seeds or password no one can get the coins. Huh Huh Huh
My primary purpose in earning bitcoin is for my future. I want to have a better future by achieving all of my dreams like having my own house and dream car and also to travel around the world. But i will also consider my future son and daughter. Im earning and bitcoin and setting aside some for them and for their studies.

Re: Bitcoin's profit
by
hernanlazaro
on 24/11/2017, 14:24:47 UTC
I heard people said that Bitcoin's profit is higher than profit of drug dealer, weapon dealers or profit of real property or any kind of stocks. Is that real ?
It depends to the price of bitcoin because its price is unstable. Meaning, it can go higher or even lower. If you buy a lot of bitcoin with a low price, you can store it in a very long time and you can sell it and gain a lot of profit. The price of bitcoin today is very high so those people who stored their bitcoin, they have the capability to become a millionaire.
