Just came here again after months looking for a solution and noticed your post. I have tried everything I can think to resolve the "0CHIPS/ZOMBIE" issue, but 2 of my 606's will not mine beyond approximately 30 minutes. 2 of my 3 units have been 0 CHIPS, and 1 of 2 is units is brand new. The suppliers have been very kind, but I still can't get them running. My 3rd unit has run near perfect at 1TH for a year with normal typical issues and I am very pleased. I hope collectively we can figure this issue out.

It does show [oo] in the terminal, then goes through the restart process several times eventually giving the no chips found message and then OFF.

I think that's what I'll try...This is the first of my 3 units and I bought this in June. I will reach out to MinerSupply and find out - I sure hope so!

Just finished the server swap and updated drivers. The zombie unit will not start hashing with the different server. The other unit has started hashing normally.

I have tried 3 different pools. I have tried several previously working start codes (diff freqs & diff pools). I have tried changing voltage on both the miner and in the code.

I'm super noob, but the [oo] looks wrong to me - i though there were more chips. It seems to power up okay -I haven't tried a different controller yet; unfortunately, that will need to wait until the weekend...and it's a terrible crypto week :-(

I don't see any other messages other than, restarting, restarting, no chips found, ZOMBIE. Shows [oo] in widescreen. It is not showing a speed. Yellow light comes on with power, I start cg miner with controller, and nothing continues from that point.

After running my 3 R606's for some time now, I am having trouble getting 1 restarted today. It stopped hashing this afternoon, but seemed to remain online with the pool. When I got home I restarted and it went back to work. After about 30 minutes of hashing it stopped and I am unable to get it restarted. I unplug/plugin, restart server, change settings, changed power supply and it just says, no chips found - ZOMBIE.

I have tried. I can't get the frequency to change regardless of what I set it to on the Advanced. Using the same firmware as you, I'm stuck at 557.89 freq. and 8.0 Th. It appears nothing I do will make this thing do more.

I had other miners running on the power strip as well –yea, I was pushing the envelope- and for sure not a sole issue caused by the miner. Okay, this may be beyond my capabilities, but I'll give it a try!

Needing some help please. I've had my miner up and running for a couple weeks now and everything has been near perfect! Unfortunately, last night I went to speed up the fan on balanced mode to 45% and it kicked the breaker on my power strip.

Now, the miner turns on with red light illuminated on front and lower fan spinning. When I go to start the miner the light turns yellow for a moment then back to red and it will not start. I have yellow and green ethernet lights illuminated on the back. I've unplugged / plugged in and tried to start on several modes, but without success. Any help is greatly appreciated –thank you!

Ecstatic, by the looks of things, and fortunate I got my 3rd R606 up and mining ––this is a perfect in-home machine–– thanks to all involved!

It appears all suppliers are "Back Order" only. Any idea when we can expect the next delivery?

I bought 2 R606 from MinersSupply on Amazon -and VERY HAPPY!! Now, for the 3rd, just looking to get the latest & greatest batch 3 if available -if they are the same as batch 2 -MinersSupply has that available.

Also, yes, I want in the drawing!! -I think I'm 11 on the list.

Thanks for the update! I did buy a Pi 3 to use as a controller -guess I'll just let it sit on the shelf. As a n00b, I have found that the controller is the most difficult (important) part of my R606 journey.

I tried a new windows 10 laptop and an old windows 7 laptop and could not get the R606 up to speed. Forget using my iMac -I failed misurably trying to make that happen. Thankfully, I had two other laptops, one with windows 7 and the other with windows 10 -I spent several hours tweaking both for mining. (killing the bloat on the 10 was a must to get it going) Now, I have my 2 R606 both averaging 900+ GH/s at 700 Mhz (ish) on 2 seperate controllers!

Lastly, the freakout the other day about data -yes, true story, I used over 1,000 GB of data in a few days -I still have no clue how that is even possible. I discovered it was the new windows 10 machine I originnaly purchased as a controller -I wiped it clean and now it sits collecting dust.

Thanks for the great R606's and all the info here! Now I'm looking forward to learning what I'm actually doing -still no clue, but it's fun!

Thanks for quick responses!! I can't find and install of bitcoin-qt on any of my machines, but an inadvertent install is very possible. Knowing that mining can't use that much data is a relief, I will try to find that trojan horse!

Agree, how in the heck an I using that much data. I'm a superuser nOOb, so not sure about mining usage, but that much data doesn't seem possible –porn 24/7 in 8k? I have never used over 200 GB a month until now...
