Hi.
I'm one of the staff members at HexPay.org, and we have recently been notified about a scammer who has scammed a lot of users from this forum.

It's not just this guy. It's many. In fact, I'd say the overwhelming majority of users on this forum who use such autobuy link sites as yours are selling either hacked or non-existent stuff. It's become rife in the Digital Goods/Invites sections.

Unfortunately it's hard to police since when we receive reports of a scammer, they just create a new account and recreate the scam products.

I'm well aware of that. The same things happen here. Maybe you should consider holding the funds until the buyer has confirmed receipt. That would significantly deter scammers. If these scammers get the funds instantly then it's prime for abuse.

Okay I've tagged all of them. I'm sure that he/she will be back with more accounts though.

They were all already banned apart from splitups.

It's a free service, we don't have the resources to escrow payments, nor the time. It works fine on other forums.

Code:
Correct - It's up to the buyer to make sure the seller is legit, and sadly due to the poor moderation and terrible features of the BTCtalk marketplace (who thought it was a good idea to let noobs self moderate sales threads!?) scammers will try to get your money.
Many others use our site with no problems, and on forums where scam reports are not ignored and the marketplace is moderated it works a lot better.
Lately, we have written some code that finds a lot of these GC scams and hopefully deletes them before users purchase them.

HexPay is an autobuy site, users can list whatever they want. We do not escrow payments and cannot protect users from falling for gift card scams, however we will remove them, please email them to abusereports@hexpay.org.
Thanks!
So what is the point of your service if you can't protect buyers from getting scammed. You can make a simple inbuilt bitcoin wallet which can act as escrow, there will be not much manual things to handle.

Our service is there to help the seller, and you should only buy from sellers you trust since we don't escrow payments.

I think is 100 dollar amazon gift card only price 40 dollar is very cheap price
hexpay.org not popular service , and price very cheap is becareful
if you want amazon giftcard you can find in paxful or localbitcoins.com

It's not us selling the GC, anyone is able to sign up and sell.

What are recommendations for an trusted autobuy website. You say that is hexpay not popular, if we have a more reliable service like this, alternative?
localbitcoins?
thanks
With autobuy services it is not possible to check everything. The seller might have real codes but he obtained them via carding fraud.
So how can service operator check that? The only way is to remove fraudulent sellers is AFTER they commit a scam.
Hexpay is only platform for trading, just like eBay - the only difference is that eBay offers customer protection service, hexpay doesn't.

In order to protect our users from automated brute force attacks or similar, we have rate limiting on logins, plus captchas and 2 factor authentication (which we suggest all users enable). Our dashboard also tracks all actions so you can determine if any illegitimate activity occurs on your account.

Our platform is based on a well renowned framework, and is built from the ground up with security in mind.

We are confident that there are no security issues with the site, but as a incentive to security experts out there, we are offering a bug bounty with payments of up to $200 if you find a serious security issue.
If you find an exploit, please send us a message via email or PM, with a brief description (type of bug, severity etc) and we will work from there.

Thanks for checking HexPay out!

I find a guy who willing to sell a $100 amazon gift card for $40 bitcoin. He offers two kinds of trading: First is to contact him on Whatsapp, second is to buy it on hexpay.org. This is the first time I have heard about this marketplace. Is it legit ? Or just another pure scam site ?
Thanks in advance
Hexpay is an autobuy site. You click, thw itwm will be delivered. I suggest you not to continue because you are not even sure if the item you will be paying is the amazon on just another fake. It is known that hexpay is widely used by people selling illegal stuffs. I saw people using it's autobuy feature here in bitcointalk in selling hacked or cracked accounts.
So that means the site manager do not care about checking goods before upload it ? Well, from what you say, this site is totally trash. Thanks for your advice. I might lose my money there. I will contact this guy on whatsapp and use escrow to buy this AGC

Seems he's sudanese, or living in sudan since all his earlier accounts have logins from a mobile ISP there.
