New Project - Crypto and Bitcoin Dice Website

We are creating a dice gambling website for all crypto including btc.

Full-stack developer (or team) to create a provably-fair social dice game.  Build a clean, secure web application that allows users to create accounts, log in, place bets, and fund/withdraw bit and other crypto coins.  Application needs to be secure as this will likely be a highly-targeted site.  Please look to https://primedice.com/play as an example (although the current project will be significantly different in its game logic and UI. )  Specifically, note the chat functionalities and how provably-fair is implemented.

The website will need to be provably fair and use the ideas and technology behind such a verification.  Therefore, you will need to consider all the coding considerations around a bitcoin gaming website, including unique addresses to deposit bitcoins in, secure client seeds etc.

We Seek

Someone/company that can code the entire project

Ideally, we will be able to find one person or company who can complete the entire project. Therefore, they will take care of the coding/UI/database development. We anticipate the site will be written from scratch, however, you may have some previous code/databases/ideas that you could bring over from previous projects. We do not want a copy and paste quick solution.

Application Process

Contact me and let me know of:
- why we should pick you
- any coding or other experience you have (a brief overview of CV will be fine)
- any previous projects you have worked on, particularly any that may have been similar. If you can include names of the projects that would be great.
- your idea of how this project may be completed/stages, including backend considerations
- cost, preferably broken down into components/stages
- any other information that may be relevant

Alternatively, let me know your contact details below and I will contact you via Skype/email/ etc.

Payment

We haven’t set a precise budget yet, however, from USD$5,000 upwards would be our initial thoughts. However, feel free to bid over or under the estimate. However, we will pay extremely well for the right person/company to take the project on. Payment will preferably be paid per completed section/stage.

We look forward to your applications!

Final Note

If you are reading this, and say are only an expert in the backend, or front end, or another component of btc/crypto casinos (e.g. marketing), then feel free to send me a message about your experience and how we can work together. Perhaps you already own a casino and are looking to sell. Please contact me as all communications will be treated confidentially and also may lead to some exciting developments!

Must be highly skilled in
PHP
Jquery
Not necessary but CSS is a plus

Jobs will be both gambling related. Must have the ability to build the back-end of a website from the ground up. Experience in bitcoin dice website backend will be a bonus. Design is not necessary.

Pay
Pay is ~$40/hr in BTC, this amount will depend on your skill level. This is all negotiable depending on skill level.

If you are interested, post below, and send me a PM to discuss.

Thanks for the applications - I am still taking applications particularly from experienced developers

Voted. I think it's around 18-30 years old are members here so I vote for 18-25.

Why does everyone think that say 18-25 is the most popular age compared to say 25-30 range?

Hi there

The title is self explanatory.

I need quality backend code for a dice website that is not on the blockchain. Needs to be very secure and integrate or into a front end design - say similar to primedice.

Hit me up by PM.

Thanks

Re: Operating a BTC gambling site - Worth it?

Hey everyone.  Wink

I'm a passionate Web-Developer and currently got a little bit more time on my hands than usual.
I really love what I'm doing and enjoy running my own projects, so I decided to sit down and start coding a new BTC gambling website. Cheesy

Everything is prepared already:
 - I have a really catchy Game which I couldn't find anywhere else to play online
 - I have designers on my hand for some neat graphics
 - I have done the math to maintain a small house edge
 - The automatic handling of BTC transactions is finished
 - Provably Fair is planned to be done today
 - My dedicated server is ready to handle a good amount of traffic
 - [...]

But I'm interested to know: Is developing a BTC gambling websites considered to be profitable?
Can I expect people to pay attention to a new game?
Is the market maybe already saturated?

My decision to code this website isn't going to change, regardless of the answers I will receive.
I'm simply wondering what dimensions I could be entering with this project. Wink

I'm excited to hear your thoughts and opinions on this!  Smiley

What type of game are you developing? Dice?

How are you going to prevent hackers?

Re: What skills are needed to put up a crypto-related website?
by

I have been bouncing around an idea in my head about some crypto-related website. Maybe a gambling site, such as dice or a duel game. Maybe a crypto-related blog or a faucet? The only issue is, I don't have much money for this project, and I'm a novice at programming as well. What skillsets would be needed to code a site such as a dice or a faucet?

I might be able to get a friend of mine in this, who is a programmer, which would allow me to focus all my time on new ideas for the site, support and advertising.

Also, what kind of new site would you like to see? Maybe you are tired of all the existing blogs, and you want something new and fresh in the market? Maybe you are bored of regular dice sites, and want to see something better and more community-based?

Something unique in gaming will cost you around $3k-10k usd, depending on exactly what you're looking for. Something less expensive, in the < $1500 range can be found in the services subforum on the board. There's lots of developers that are looking to build something or join up on a venture.

Skill sets will vary depending on the platform, however in general you'll need someone familiar with LAMP stack development for the backend (Linux Apache Mysql Php) and then something for the frontend code, usually javascript/node js, html5. You need to know how to deal with bitcoin nodes or cryptocurrency nodes, so json and general api calls.

Where would I go to get it coded for $3-10k? Any names? You?

Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game

how does an investment on this site works? or any other gambling site, but specially this one. what i mean is if a make an investment for how long will i be receiving coins, what is the average time for ROI, anyone with experience in this area??

How much you earn a day completely depends on the number of users and of course whether they are winning or losing. We can't give you an approximation unfortunately. However, you can check out our stats page to see how previous investors have done at https://www.satoshidice.com/stats/
Satoshi Dice uses a 1.9% house edge and backers get 50% of the house wins or losses. The slot game uses a 3.5% edge. This means that the dice game gives a 0.95% Expected Value (EV) that is shared by the backers, and the Slot Game gives a 1.75% EV to the backers.

Of course there is always a risk of investing in the bankroll. As you can see from the stats a page -  A player won big on the slots. But as you can also see profit has continued to increase since then.

Why you even make it lowered? You need to make sure that both of you and investor sure to get profit. Even if you lowered the house edge, this will be disadvantages through you and investor. And btw you are still in debt right? And you said last time you are investigate every bet that he made before and now you are lowering the house edge, really does not make any sense

We want to lower the dice edge in order to be competitive with other dice sites. By doing so and with the improvements in security and support, we expect to get more wagers that will benefit us, players and the investors. You can see how the recent slot profit has made up for most of the loss from the big win at https://www.satoshidice.com/stats/#slotGameCumulativeProfitSlot

Yes of course huge wagered will advantage you guys but how about if people keep on winning from your site? Does it not affected your bankroll, since many investor not want this thing happened. With this thing, many investor will get out from this investment. But still i dont understand why you doing this? For the popularity of course but in the long term if many people win on your site, this will not good to your site and investors

I've asked some questions in the SD investor page - can I get some answers there or here?

We have noticed that the state of the Bitcoin network currently requires transaction fees substantially higher than 100 satoshis per kb in order to get confirmed within the first couple of blocks. We have increased the fee to target 200 satoshis per kb in order to ensure quick withdrawals. If you deposit, please make sure to make sure to have the transaction include a sufficient fee!

https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ is a handy tool to see what fee you should use.

Are you guys on the blockchain?

The site is now back up with the Dice edge changed to 0.9%

Thanks for your patience. Feel free to contact support with any queries. Good luck with your future rolls!

Do any other bitcoin dice sites allow investment too?

So what is your profit /loss over 6 to 12 - I didn't get a chance to read through all the previous pages

Is the dices sites website legit? Does it have accurate figures? Why do companies record their figures their? Wouldn't they want to keep them secret?

Many dice sites allow investment. For a list of trusted dice sites see https://dicesites.com/

That doesn't answer any of my questions - should I not ask them?

I've been working on this nodejs tutorial series for the last few months https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhWIQKZKupCasXHue7itsB0twiIwQtDV_

Goes from the simple intro Hello World to Express, templating, using bitcore-lib, blocktrail API and deployment. You can generate addresses and accept bitcoin just using a library.

Can you give me more information as to what you are trying to build?

I want to keep you guys and gals in the loop regarding site development, what's planned, what I am working on and what has been fixed/done.
Therefore I have created a Trello public board here:

The board is public. Each card represents an idea, a feature or an issue/bug. The staff (me mostly) can add new cards and move things around. You, our users, can:

- comment on cards
- upvote ideas

If you want to suggest an idea, you can do it either here in this thread or in our Chat when I am around. If I find the idea reasonable (or it gets suggested by multiple people) I will add it to the board.

Take a look. The lists will get filled with time :-)

Is this your game?
How many players do you get a day?
Are you concerned about people trying say dos attacks or trying to steal coins? How do you prevent this?

Re: Seuntjies DiceBot -Multi-Site, multi-strategy betting bot for dice. With Charts!
by

i love this bot, it made me so much money!

Care to share your strategy or is it a secret?

Been trying this bot out for the last few months and pretty much most of the strageies I've created have made no money or lost money. The strategies that worked in the past, failed to work in the future.

Honestly the only sure way of winning any actual money would be to start with the faucet however due to the Captcha and small faucet amounts, its not possible.
Don't trust him, there is no such thing called strategy in gambling. Seunjti already said if this bot doesn't increase your winning chance or you will always win in gambling. This bot only make your bet easier and you can try any strategy with this bot.

I know.

The only method that I think that might work supposedly is as follows.

Say the house edge is 1%. So you got 51 Losses and 49 Wins every 100 Bets.

So probalistically after 100,000 bets you should have 51,000 Losses and 49,000 Wins.

However say you program the bot to detect huge shifts in the bets.

For example,

Say after 10,000 bets you are at losing 6000 Bets and won only 4000 Bets. According to the house edge and probability law, you should have 5100 Losses and 4900 Wins. So for the next 5000 bets or so you should roll more wins than losses to bring the house edge back to parity.

I haven't tried this method yet.

I like your way of thinking. Have you made any headway on trying this method out yet? I am very curious what the results will show and of course your angle of attack.

Good luck with your strategy - but don't the odd reset each time you bet?

This is nothing I saw I guy who won 20 million dollar in a slots game of paf.

Are you sure?  Current biggest progressive jackpot is Quickfire, Mega Moolah Mega $11,265,548
in the land of bitcoin maybe but there has been way bigger jackpots then $11,265,548 the current highest jackpot ever won in history was US$941.8 million with a total prize pool of €2.52 billion Now that is what i call a MEGA WIN!

We are talking about slots winnings! Jackpot of US$941.8 million was a lottery win at Spain’s Spanish Christmas Lottery , not a slot machine jackpot.

ya that's what i kinda figured but i wasn't too sure, it's still pretty crazy even tho it wasn't a slot jackpot, The largest slot machine jackpot in gaming history -- $39,713,982.25 -- was won today on a Megabucks(R) machine at the Excalibur Hotel-Casino on the Las Vegas Strip

Bitcoin is still new

I don't expect billion dollar wins here for years
