Re: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are considered illegal?
by

on 26/11/2017, 23:09:20 UTC
The bad press that BTC and alt coin get related to them being in a bubble state, ICO scams, and lack of knowledge will make people scared of it. The fact that some people uses them for illegal activities make them being associated, and assumed illegal, by people that don't understand the technology and the projects.

Apart from that, some governments do treat them as illegal, and depending on your country taxation rules, and the way you trace crypto, might get you in trouble if you are not aware of the details

Even ICO’s that are not a scam can fail. If you can get into the ones that are not a scam and that can/will succeed, you’ll do great, otherwise you will be lucky to break even. Anyways, keep in mind to only invest what you can afford to lose.

Re: When is the right time to invest and best ICO
by

on 02/11/2017, 10:57:47 UTC
Do your own research and try to exclude any possibility of an ICO being a scam. Try to find credible information.

And the best time to invest is when you can afford to lose all the money you’re planing to throw at it. Because even when a project looks good, bad things can happen and the project can not go anywhere.

We’re talking about huge profits here, and that’s associated with the high risks involved. The minimum one can do is to reduce the number of risks by sourcing as much info as possible.

You don’t need you own ledger to do that. You could create your own ERC20 token, for example, and track the transactions on the existing ledger.

The only justification for creating your own ledger is that you want to minimize transaction fees.

It’s above $7k right now and with no sign of slowing down. The latest news jus keep pushing the prices up https://www.coindesk.com/cme-group-plans-launch-bitcoin-futures-contract/

To have BTC at $10k that would require a total crypto market cap of about $280B with BTC representing ~60% of the total market.

The market is currently sitting at $190B. It’s a bit of a stretch, but definitely not impossible

Re: Do you check Bitcoin price everyday?

I was already hooked on looking the BTC price and total crypto market cap A few times a day. But now, with BTC hitting ATH all the time, I find myself checking the prices every 15 minutes or so.

When the price is going up like that, it’s great to look at it. I believe I’ll stop doing that once a correction happen

Indeed a correction is coming, but I believe we will see higher ATH before a correction happens. I wouldn’t be surprised if it hits $8k by the end of month.

I thought it would correct right after the BTG fork, but with B2X and the latest news, things are just pushing the rice up.

There is no pullback on the crypto market cap as well, it has been growing steadily for the past few weeks and it will likely hit $200B by the end of the month.

If you are posting a reply on a thread, and your answer is relevant. Would adding your referral link instead of the plain url be a problem?

For example, you are suggesting service a-dot-com as an answer's to OPs question. Would a ref link (a-dot-com?ref=my-ref) be allowed?

Re: What's your biggest regret when it comes to Bitcoin?
by
hivesix
on 02/11/2017, 06:45:31 UTC
My biggest regret is that I ignored it for too long. When I decided to buy it, I bought just a couple but then I sold them without making almost any profit, even tho it was more than a year after I bought. I think I never stop to properly understand the fundamentals.
