Since the beginning of the pandemic, pet surrendering rates have increased dramatically around the world. Waitlists for surrendering household pets have increased to a remarkable eight months as animal shelters and welfare organisations have seen an increase of 34% for animals needing help.

Typically, animal shelters are under resourced and under financed; relying heavily on donations and the volunteer efforts to assist animals.

This is where Woof Coin steps in. As avid lovers of dogs, we wanted to make a difference. Using the power of Proof of Work mining, we’ve created a coin where miners are contributing to the donation of money to animal welfare shelters. These shelters initially include the ASPCA who already have a cryptocurrency donation mechanism but with intention to expand to the RSPCA and other organizations suggested by the community. 

Our aim is to put animals first and we intend on developing ongoing relationships with pet shelters to help adoption.

TurtleCoin does not encourage a private channel of distribution for coins
There have been several giveaways (or as we like to call them, rains) in our discord because we are celebrating 5000 members today, 04/Feb/2018.)
We can not control what the community comes up with and this Donation bot is just an example of that. An awesome example of that!
Please take your time to read further into our documentation and, if that's no good, message the discord anytime you want! Specially the #help channel which is always super helpful.

We really don't want to come out as the We give you bounties for using our logo/banner/profile picture blockchain, so we're not actively promoting any sort of behaviour that might damage our image as a friendly and open community.

Language translations will not be bountied, except for the case in which the translations are properly reviewed by the community and core devs, meaning properly posted in our Meta discussion, and correctly evalued by everyone in our discord.
This is intended so people will stop reserving translation posts, while at the same stopping the abuse in services made by the community, such as web miners, GUI wallets, etc.
There was not, and never will be a reward for such mundane reasons.

If the TurtleCoin project appeals to you, and you wish to promote it via your social media, you are more than welcome to do so.
Our #dev_marketing will help you getting started on the best assets to use and make it look like a proper service of/in TurtleCoin.

If you wish to go ahead and help the community translate any of our files on your own anyway, please upload the translated file in the #bounties channel at our discord: https://discord.turtlecoin.lol, there's surely someone who will appreciate your work and offer you a proper shell tip.
Please don't desprestigiate on your begging quest after you have been credited for doing accurate and correct work.

We don't encourage people that feel entitled to a reward just because they were first to post on a thread.

A community builts itself, and translations, just like everything else, must be built and reviewed by the community itself to have any sort of official or serious connotation.

We really believe this thread can do nothing but help us in the long run, and as such we would like to mantain a serious and respectful relationship with BTCTalk and anyone interested in the project, be it for today or the long term vision that we have.

We understand the concern the delay of this thread has brought up.
As it was correctly stated above, most of the first miners joined because of word of mouth and through threads and posts on other boards.
That same word of mouth lead to someone adding us to TradeOgre without any of the devs explicit knowledge.
As it stands now, and has since the start of it; we are focused on getting us on our first serious exchange by Q2 this year. TradeOgre and Tradesatoshi are things that the community did and asked for themselves.
