1) I don't think it's all or the other. It doesn't have to be either only healthy work or more burnout. It's learning how to adapt with the new style of work, creating healthier work balance whether it's at home or at the office.

2) How are they not fair to all? I don't believe their is a law saying certain people can't work from home. So the inequality statement you put forth doesn't make sense to me.

3) I think you could make it better by shortening the work week to 4 days. But it looks like robots are gonna take jobs sooner than later so you may get a full 7 days off!

I want to know is it good to buy Dot right now or any crypto, I am curious because i have a cash laying around.

I don't think you should be asking people on the internet about what to do with your money. Seems silly. We are all guessing here basically, and your guess could be better than ours. Trust yourself. If you like the project, invest and have a game plan. Don't focus on the PA. Focus on the project and whether you think it can deliver value. If it can, it will appreciate. If it can't, it'll depreciate. Simple.

Re: Will these coins survive 5 years?
by

on 06/12/2021, 06:03:35 UTC
I have all of these coins:

ETH 40%
CARDANO 20%
POKALDOT 20%
TERRA LUNA 5%
THETA 15%
Avax: 10%

Are my coins going to last is it likely?

Depends on your timeline mate. If we are talking this cycle, then yes certainly they will last. If we are talking all the way through the next bear market? Certainly no guarntee, and only ETH I would feel confident making it through at this point in time. ADA definitely won't make it. The other 4 are all solid projects but seems like AVAX and DOT are vying for the same spot so likely one of those won't make it either. The other two at least operate on a different portion of the market which they could capture.

Sounds good. Do you have a website and whitepaper?

Hey there! Thank you for being the first one in this thread Smiley

We are going to LIVE really soon, the website behind SuperBonds and the TGE are both supposed to be revealed shortly. Please follow the above-mentioned social media. We will definitely keep our community posted.

In terms of the WhitePaper, it is available and the Tokenomics has been explained either. Kindly refer to our our Telegram and you will see it!

Also, our Support Team and Core Team members are always happy to assist you and answer any questions.

Best,
SuperBonds team

That sounds awesome. Will there be any other threads here on Bitcointalk. ANN? Bounty? Local? Would love to see more projects developed on Solana, we need to see what projects are capable of minus major fees. But that being said Solana is centralized, so there is naturally always a trade off, and that is a major one.

I may be off my rocker here, but I think we ultimately see a price north of $10 and even then north of $15. I believe the top will be $15-18 and I think it will be swift as many blow off tops are.

Do note, that I only think this happens after BTC has topped, and alts run further than we think they can.

Re: Coins that are very down now that may pump?
by

In general, coins that are "way down" probably won't go way up. Sure there have been some recent coins to scrap off their bottoms (think LRC, BRD) but those were out of the blue partnerships that you could not have predicted. As I like to do, stick with the strength. An asset is strong if it doesn't give back much of its gains (think SOL, MATIC).

100% not a scam. The contract will fail to execute, but still connects so to speak. That being said, each time you fail a transaction it will cost. This is why it is in your best interest to use a website like

https://ethgasstation.info/

to check the current prices to make sure that doesn't happen. Annoying but that is the current scenario.

Re: Potential price of Polygon (MATIC) next year
by
hodlftw
on 06/12/2021, 05:52:40 UTC
Polygon (MATIC) is a stable coin in the crypto market. Besides being stable, the movement of Polygon is quite interesting because on the coinmarketcap chart, Polygon has appeared since 2020 at a price of $0.0035 and not too long ago, the price of Polygon could reach $1 to $2 and even reach $3 (predicted).
In terms of usage, Polygon is also good with the MATIC network which is considered to be relatively cheap in transaction fees. What will happen to Polygon in the future?

Haha good joke. ADA used to be the stable coin of the market and we all know how that turned out. So I am hoping MATIC isn't the next ADA in that sense. However, I believe much more good news is coming down the pipeline. You got zk-rollups, and you also have a potential agreement w/ Coinbase. PA should look good in the future, short term may have murky waters yet.

Re: What if Bitcoin is overtaken by Ethereum in market cap?
by
hodlftw
on 05/12/2021, 20:53:31 UTC
Such cycles are referred to as “flippening” I am not surprised and do not faint when it happens, a phenomenon that often occurs in the crypto market, such as: crypto A overtook Crypto B, but this phenomenon never happened to Ether and Bitcoin, it's been almost 13 years.

From year to year Bitcoin always keeps a good value, you can say digital gold is the main point, Bitcoin is also backed by many big investors around the world, to be used as a crypto asset in their portfolio, so what I want to say is: although Ether wants to overtake Bitcoin's position long enough it can happen, In my opinion, because the largest and largest market capitalization from year to year in crypto asset storage is Bitcoin, so investors trust Bitcoin as the most secure asset in the world than Ether, so if you want to see the phenomenon of Ether replace Bitcoin's position, maybe you need 50 years in the future, but can't guarantee and ensure that it can happen.

So, from now on you save as much Ether as possible, maybe 50 years from now, your dream will come true.

I'll take the under on that. And btw, Ether hasn't been out for 13 years so you can't throw that comparison out there. It has been out for 6 now, and in that time has outperformed Bitcoin. Nothing to say it can't flip it in the coming months (which I think will undoubtedly happen), and also nothing to say that tarnishes BTC reputation moving ahead. I envision a market where BTC does not need to be #1, yet still operates and functions as the reserve asset of this market and the gold standard.

Hello, I have a couple of questions to answer and then I would answer yours.

- First things first. Does the school approve of what you're teaching to your students? Teaching blockchain, smart contracts and Bitcoin are something that even computer science departments in higher education don't do. Curious to kniw the circumstances surrounding your teachings.

- Do your maths students have prior dev experience before going off to learning how to create tokens?

As for your question, there are plenty of things about Bitcoin (if it's allowed in the school) that doesn't necessarily involve development activities or everyone to have a phone. You can just teaching them the theories and concept of bitcoin and open finance. There's more than enough topics to cover.

The school has no issue with me teaching anything blockchain-related. I had already taken that up with my bosses before attempting. Remember this is only for a total of 2-3 days over the entire school year.

My students certainly do not have any dev experience outside of using coding dot com. As far as "just teaching them the theories and concepts of bitcoin", theories and concepts do not make for a very exciting project. Especially the day before Christmas break.

Perhaps they could benefit from some sort of word association game. Maybe a word jumble. Maybe a crossword puzzle. I also found a resource that offered a teaching plan for the 6th grade for Bitcoin.

Re: Bitcoin - Is HODL the only strategy?
by
hodlftw
on 05/12/2021, 20:38:53 UTC
I own different crypto and mostly I stake with them because I am interested in the long return. With bitcoin I am actually doing nothing.
If you are primarily interested in the long return, then hodling bitcoin is your best bet and would potentially bring you more profit than staking assets which are built on the PoS model. Not to shot on proof of stake, but one of the main reasons bitcoin actually increases in value is due to the controlled and reducing supply and how no one holds more stake on the network.

Can you suggest any strategies to make even a little APR? I know that I can't stake with bitcoin.
There are third party services that you can technically stake your bitcoins with, but as a common rule; Not your keys,Not your coins.
While I get your point of view, there are times like this that I regret not being active in trading. For instance, I could have sold my BTC at ATH, a few weeks ago, and now I could have obtained a significant amount of BTC, by purchasing, using the exact same amount of money. It's called short-trading, while at the same time, I would continue holding.

On the other hand, there are quite a few things that can go wrong, such as an unexpected price change and so on, however, now I'd definitely have more Bitcoin.

How much Bitcoin do you have? Oh ya, same as me. Not enough haha Wink. While true you can increase your stack through a short trade, I wouldn't risk more than 10-20% my total position on this type of play. All it takes is one wrong market move and you have a lifetime of COPE and/or buying back higher.

by

Probably BNB at this point, simply because they are closer and they just added the BEP-95 addition. But however, I think Solana will end up #3 on the list when all said and done, and will be worth more than BNB at the end of the cycle. My 2 sats.

Re: Is it good to penalize airdrop hunters?
by
hodlftw
on 05/12/2021, 09:25:29 UTC
Airdrops are a great way to attract people into newly-fond crypto projects. They're basically "free money" for not doing anything in return. Some projects have been widely successful after an airdrop, while others have gone all the way down the drain. There's been a upsurge of airdrop hunters looking to "milk rewards" from the system, effectively dumping all of their coins/tokens on the market for profit. While most projects have been quite flexible in the eligibility for an airdrop, one project decided to take the stand by adopting measures to prevent abuse. Parachain Swap's airdrop has been quite controversial as it only rewarded a small portion of its users. The vast majority of the people weren't rewarded (especially airdrop hunters), resulting in a decline of the token's price.

Do you think it's a good idea to penalize airdrop hunters? Will this do more harm or good to the adoption of crypto/Blockchain tech? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

That airdrop was quite funny to behold. But I don't believe its wise to penalize these people. They are doing the work required of them and should be rewarded accordingly. However, if a project wants to limit dumping, then perhaps they should limit the airdrops supply (1% max being handed out). For blockchains to reach critical mass, I firmly believe they should impact all our lives positively, and they can, and this is another extension of how we can get that to occur, with little to no risk/investment.

It is never the end. Exhibit B being the crashed that happened. Is it over now? Highly doubt it. Doubt crypto ever leaves in our lifetime either. We need a washout from time to time to get rid of those leveraged traders. Things are normal and everything is fine. Resume UP ONLY

Re: Another Ethereum killer? The next Bitcoin?
by

Yeah but how can something be an ETH killer when it is heavily centralized. I know that will change at some point , but currently that is not the case. I do like what they are doing, and their transaction throughout is amazing, combined with their speed, they have a chance to take them out. But only if they decentralize. Time will tell all!

Do you think there is any hope for BitcoinCash?  Is it still one of the major alts that will pump?  Will it reach previous all time highs?

Why would anybody have hope for a coin such as this. Its complete trash and the BTC pair has been going down since its inception. It will continue to do so for however long it trades. Eventually anybody who backed this nonsense coin will realize the same and leave their affiliation.
