I definitely want to start mining some. So I can simply just do it from the Gapcoin wallet? Is it then joined into a pool or per user CPU power?

Currently untested. If someone would like to confirm that cpu mining on windows is still working in the pool with gapminer-rev4 that would be great!

Anyone digging out older AMD graphics hardware for testing the GPU miner releases ?
Remember that the sieve still runs on the CPU, so 4 cores min. approx. + 8GB RAM min. recommended.
i have RX480, if i can say that is old card, miner v4 working perfect, on windows, and linux too.

Which are the best exchanges that don't require KYC to buy it? Poloniex requires KYC to register.

Testnet is 'dead' again. BS host (cloudatcost - avoid like the plague!) cancelled my account for no justifiable reason whatsoever.
Interest in Gapcoin has certainly waned here along with forum / community / exchange support etc., ...
Unfortunately I currently have no alternative other than to closed down the majority of my nodes and Tor support for Gapcoin.
Gapcoin nodes (along with the Tor Bridges) will therefore be terminated on 31st May 2019. Sad times.
The https://gapcoin.club node and a couple of network nodes will remain hosted to help ensure the Gapcoin blockchain is preserved.
If I can find the time (and resources) to fully re-launch Gapcoin in the future I will ...
Clearly no one else really cares at present.

In order to use it, you still need to download and run the node, read which commands you need to type for sending and receiving coins, understand a little in port forwarding, people are too lazy to do this, its easier to store on the exchange

i support this coin from first day, i don't need profit.
How's about dropping some hashrate and lettting others share some blocks? Then we can all held support the coin. Not much support if its a 1 man band.
i found only ~5% of all blocks per day

Is that simply from "setgenerate true -1"
I am using Ryzen 1700 / 16GB ram / ssd and lucky to mine 4-5 blocks a day (Best result so far), sometimes its only 1 block a day.
Impressed, but even more confused as to why i cant earn anything.

Tried wallet directly, 5 block in 24hrs, so no idea why the others are so crap, but the wallet works.
Only thing is, need 1000 coin, or 200 blocks a day, just to earn $1.
Seems pretty pointless mining. (unless someone comes up with a much better miner)

i try crt miner too. Two days no blocks, switch to RCP mining and all ok )

My miner keeps crashing and I'm getting "core dumped" error on linux does anyone know of any compiling options to fix this?
i get this error 2 times yesterday, but now all working fine ~ 14 hours. This may be probably when the seed node goes offline for some reason.
