Re: Explain the income in bitcoin ?
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 09:15:53 UTC
This is a legal issue no one has been able to answer me about

If you win bitcoin with investment, it's easy to declare

What about bitcoins you earn from jobs  ( bounties, regular incomes for helping teams in moderation, etc.) ? It is a job and an income but in bitcoin, so how is it considered and declared?

Until ou convert it to your fiat currency then you don't need to worry about it. Once you converted it to fiat that is the only time that you can consider it as an income and that is the time that you can declare it. Unless your government already accepted crypto currency and they have regulations for it.

Re: [2018-11-28] Bitcoin is a Bubble. But It Won’t Burst For Long - Akke Svenson, Ra

It is a bubble that no one would let to burst. Imagine how many people already invested in bitcoin would those people let bitcoin burst. They already invested a lot on it and they don't want to lose all those investments. And there are people who are just waiting for the price to crash and will eventually invest on it. As long as the block chain technology remains uncompromised then it will not burst.

Trying to regulate a decentralized currency, Governments would really love that. I admire coinbase for continuing the battle against these kind of attempt to ruin the crypto currency world.

Even people at the Wall Street are now seeing the potential of bitcoin. We must accept that technology is fast phased and new currency trading should be accepted. Even well known people don't want to be late from the race and they will definitely join the crypto currency race.

Re: 2017-11-30] Bitcoin lost $2,000 in a single day, but that’s okay – right?
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:54:01 UTC
The title is poorly written, I think. Bitcoin did not lose $2K in a single day, the price was going up very fast before the wall, and it has pretty much recovered to the point before the sudden rise as well.

All in all I think such wild swings are expected, we are in a phase of sudden expansive growth and these back and forths should be expected anytime in my opinion.

It definitely didn't lose $2,000 in one day. The price just went to high for a day and just had a correction on that same day but today the price is stabilizing in the $10,000 level.

Re: [2017-29-11] $11,000 ‘Cripple Coin’: Roger Ver’s Bitcoin Criticism...
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:51:02 UTC
It's negative on his part because he is a big supporter of Bitcoin Cash which he pushes to the community to force everyone to accept it as the real bitcoin. He should give up the place of owning the Bitcoin.com and give it to someone else he constantly hates bitcoin, and if this continues this will be a great damage to bitcoin's reputation, I mean he is a well known person and also a influential person in the field of Bitcoin, he should be stopped, he just continuously destroying Bitcoin.

I don't think that Roger Ver really hates bitcoin infact he is benefiting from it. Every time he release FUDs  about bitcoin he will definitely get something from it. He is one of the early adopters and he certainly own a lot of Bitcoin and he is definitely trading from bitcoin to bitcoin cash every time.

Re: [2017-11-29] Nasdaq To Launch Bitcoin Futures In 2018
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:47:31 UTC
Following in CME Group’s footsteps, NASDAQ announces plans to launch Bitcoin futures in the first half of 2018. The Wall Street Journal reports that Nasdaq Inc. is planning to launch Bitcoin futures as soon the first half of 2018. Nasdaq’s Bitcoin contracts will launch on Nasdaq Futures (NFX), a marketplace launched in 2015 that is most famous for energy trading. This latest news comes in the wake of the CME Group, the world’s largest online trading platform, announcing that they will launch Bitcoin futures this December. Traditional financial institutions have so far been reluctant to support Bitcoin, but the digital currency’s increasing price and popularity would appear to have finally given them no other choice – either take a slice of the Bitcoin business or lose it.

I have been anticipating this movement from other exchanges and financial institutions to follow what CME is now brewing. and this is just USA, what about other parts of the globe especially the many financial centers we have? I am sure that in 2018 we would see a boom for products and services in the Bitcoin derivatives category introduced by those who are already in the traditional investment platforms. We are all hoping that this trend can be helping Bitcoin a lot for its push in going into the mainstream and the move towards legitimization. Maybe we can already conclude that definitely Bitcoin is really here to stay for a long, long time! Bitcoin continues its tradition of beating the odds and surprising us everyday with new developments all over the world.

That will definitely help bitcoin's price to go up in the next years, 2018 will be the deciding year for bitcoin. It is already widespread and when more products and services are released for bitcoin in 2018 government will have a hard time to remove it from circulation. I will definitely hodl my coins for this.

Re: Did Bitcoin price rise that fast because of ICO's / Forks?
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:34:31 UTC
I think nobody knows for sure. The exact reason why the price is increasing is difficult to pinpoint.
There is never a single reason for something happening most of the time there are many reasons, we had the forks, since you could receive free coins I think that increased the price, but we also had segwit activation and we are going to get investors from the futures markets as well so we got mainly good news in this year and that made the price of bitcoin that high.

I don't think that the current price is because of those forks. When the price crossed the $10,000 level all of the price at coinmarketcap.com are all going up. That means that people are not converting their coins to bitcoin just for a hard fork.

Re: How do I identify end of rally?
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:32:28 UTC
Hi,

Is there any indicators or ways to identify the end of rally of a particular coin? Can I get a early indication by looking at the market section in coinmarketcap.com or any other ways? How do we early exit with profit?

thanks

To make sure that you will have a profit I is better if you will sell your capital once the coin price increase and leave the profit alone for it to grow. By doing this you will not be affected if ever the "bubble" burst  : Tongue

Re: Historical day bitcoin $ 10,000
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:30:47 UTC
This will continue until the end of December and I think bitcoin holders are now having higher goals like reaching $20k to $100k. All those non-believers can't deny bitcoin now that it has reached the $10k mark and I know they are all feeling the FOMO.

" I will sell my coins when it reach $10,000" This is the most common mind set of bitcoin hodlers before I wonder what is their new goal for them to release their coins now.  Cheesy

This is huge:

Nasdaq Plans to Launch Bitcoin Futures in First Half 2018

https://www.wsj.com/articles/nasdaq-plans-to-launch-bitcoin-futures-in-first-half-2018-1511968313

Now we have another serirous reason to HODL! How much do you think will be the price pump this time?

This is really a great news it will definitely result to a much higher price in the next years. More people will become curious about bitcoin and more possible investors for the coin. I wish I never sold my coins before.

by

I have heard that bitcoin price will move up to 20000$ in 2018 is it possible, though I have very little amount of satoshi should I hold them ?

That is a possibility since bitcoin's price is just depending on it's demand. But bitcoin will not have the same track that it had in 2017 because $1,000 is too far from $10,000 to start the year.

Re: is that bitcoin price will crash after $ 10K?
by
honeyb0y
on 30/11/2017, 08:22:45 UTC
Why some people telling that bitcoin price will crash after hitting $10000?.
I don't think it will happen.
How about you guys do you think the price will crash or continue to rise.?

I don't think that the price will crash after this $10,000 level. If hodlers decides to sell their coin at this price that will cause the crash there are still investors who are waiting for the price to go down on a specific level and once their investments goes in then the price of the coin will recover again. That happened earlier when the price of the coin crossed the $10,000 level it even went up to $11,300 but there was a correction down to $9,800 but we can see right now that the price return to the $10k level that only means that there are too many people who are investing in bitcoin and they are watching the price.

Re: Bitcoin could 'easily' reach $40,000, says man who predicted current high
by
honeyb0y
on 28/11/2017, 11:29:20 UTC
The world’s most valuable cryptocurrency bitcoin can quadruple in price from the current record high of $10,000 in the next 13 months, predicts former Fortress hedge fund manager Michael Novogratz. On Monday, the digital currency smashed the $10,000 mark on South Korea’s Bithumb, one of the world’s biggest exchanges for cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin started the year at below $1,000 and has since jumped more than ten-fold. According to Novogratz, by the end of 2018 bitcoin’s rival ethereum “could be triple (from) where it is as well.”.

The investment guru claims that "probably over 20 percent" or "maybe even 30 percent" of his net worth is in cryptocurrencies, split roughly in half between bitcoin and ethereum. Novogratz expects that to increase by about six times to $2 trillion by the end of next year.

Demand from Asia, mostly from Japan and South Korea, has been the most significant contributor to bitcoin's gains since China halted all exchange-based crypto trading. Novogratz says that in contrast to oil and renewable energy products, companies cannot produce more bitcoin to meet demand since the digital currency's supply is limited to 21 million coins.

This is a good news specially for people who really trust bitcoin. Personally seeing bitcoin to reach at least half of what he predicted is fine.

Re: Bitcoin transaction fees..

Hi, Do you think is tehre any interest to reduce the transaction fees for bitcoin? Many alts are focusing on speed and low fees while bitcoin has made little effort.

I don't think that there is an increase in the transaction fees. You can still do a  transaction of 30 satoshi per byte but it looks more expensive now because 30 satoshi has more value today than before. Try looking into the transaction fee in bitcoin currency not in your fiat.

Re: Bitcoin touches $10,000 in Bithumb(south korean exchange)

Bitcoin touches $10k in south korean exchange bithumb(one of the largest exchange). There are many reactions coming along.

Here is Julian Assange tweet https://twitter.com/JulianAssange/status/935177898285322241

Excited and also thinking about the future as well.

I heard that South Korea is doing the same thing as Japan, they are already embracing bitcoin and several businesses are now accepting it as a payment and government even supported it. This maybe the main reason why the price hit the $10,000 level that fast. Koreans are now trusting the coin more because it can be used in their everyday purchases.

2 more days before November ends and Bitcoins price is just $200 away from $10,000, it is really possible for bitcoin to reach that level by December 1st. More people really wants to have their own bitcoin and are starting to invest more into it.

Re: Is this the Best Time to Buy BTC at 10k
by
honeyb0y
on 28/11/2017, 05:16:29 UTC
With BTC sooner or later within these days hitting the 10k mark (now around 9-10k) i cant help but wonder if one can buy BTC and still make a profit or should i just hold on to my ethereum and watch the market due to the fact that it can fall back

Of course you can still earn when you buy BTC but if you have ethereum then it is better if you will hodl those coin since the conversion of ETH to BTC is quite low, if you are planning to invest more fiat into crypto ETH has more profit per dollar than BTC as of now because of it's lower price.
