You are sure work on port 4233 ? .
Yes, just make sure you have the -p c=HAL after your coin address. altminer doesn't have a dedicated port for HAL.

not working for me... mining on hashpool.eu until it's fixed

Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.4 (Windows/Linux)

Hello guys, I have a problem with one of my rx 470.

It's a MSI gaming 4gb, used to make ETH only 28,5 Mh/s with :

1500 straps, -60mV core, 1150 core, 2000 mem, claymore 9.4, crimson 16.9.2

Now, after trying ETH +SCI (that happened about a the same time that windows 10 downgraded the drivers to 16.6), it was doing 18 MH/s ETH + 560 SC, which i first thought was normal.

Now, i'm getting more and more gpu Watchdog hang problem. The miner restart the GPU works fine for 1 to 6 hours then hang again.

Played with -dcri and managed to get 25 / 400 once, but can't achieve that again. (and the hanging problem didn't disapear)
increased core voltage and speed, hang problem still there after about 1 hour of mining.

I went back to ETH only to see if the problem comes from the dual mining, but now the card mine at only 25 MH/s.

Uninstalled MSI afterburner, uninstalled drivers with DDU, installed 17.4.3 patched with atikmdag, reinstalled afterburner = same hashing speed.
Uninstalled 17.4.3 and reinstalled 16.9.2 = still 25 MH/s
Changed bios to 1750 straps, nothing changed.

System :
-Windows 10
-8 gb ram
-750W bronze corsair PSU
-also mining with a 7950 on another miner, never had a problem with this one.

All my other rigs with rx 470 are running stable with ETH for weeks (except one that the fan randomly hit 100% until I reboot, but that's another story less urgent)

Anyone has an idea?

(Edit : very stable 20 MH/s ETH only -18mV core 1050 MHz, 1750 mem , no hardware errors in 3.5 hours... but that's very low, my 1 fan XFX is doing 24.5 MH/s with the same settings)

I recently just got 6 MSI ARMOR 470 4GBs with samsung memory and a tb250-btc. 1200w hp server psu(for cards) and a 600w(for mobo and risers). Currently getting 28.5 steady on claymore 9 on smOS. Eth only. Stock bios other than 1625 copied on up. Memory currently at 2025 and power level 5. Steady 170mhs (28.3-28.5 per card)

core clock and voltage? driver version? with claymore's miner? thanks

Thanks for your mod!! And thanks for sharing your experiences!!

After read and research a little bit, Ive seen that some people using samsung rams increase memory clocks more than 1880 (arround 2000), but you have to decrease your coreclock and core voltage too. I think that to get the best performance, we have to use wattool to optimice each step P1-P7 and reduce power and temp.
Later I will try some tests uning a spreadsheet to know wich could be the best settings. Or do you have already tested?

Thanks again!

I dunt use wattool. Only MSI Afterburner and voltage regulator is.locked.

That what im doing till now (with voltage regulator unlocked) always is decrease it. I think that we can squeeze them more increasing memory clock. I think that testing by little steps its not going to die just only get a blue screen. What do you think??

I am happy where it is humming along stable. When I push the memory speed above 2000 it gets unstable. I would rather have it running 24/7 than have stability issues making the rig go down when I am not at home to get it back up and running. Downtime is money wasted. From 1880 to 2000 the difference in speed not worth having problems.

I have exactly the same mods, but i can't get more than 23 MH/s. Every change i make in MSI afterburner has no change on MH,  from mem 1400 to 1880, same hashrate. (core from 1050 to 1200, core voltage from -30 to 0). Any idea?

Hello,
I have a problem, I hope one of you can help me figure out what is not working :

Everything worked fine for more than a week, but last night my mining rig restarted after windows update (forgot to manually set metered connection), and now the miner crash on start (it shows 3072 MB available on my GPU instead of 8 gb, the just crash)

I have :
Windows 10
driver 16.9.2
RX 470 MSI ARMOR OC 8gb (modded bios, only straps)
280X Sapphire 3gb with dummy plug

I use the 470 with Claymore's eth 9.3, and the 280x with Claymore's Zcash miner. ( -di 0)
The 280x is working fine with both miner. (-di 1)

The 470 isn't working on either miner.

BUT, the 470 works on miners if I unplug the 280x.

I tried to reinstall the drivers, reinstall MSI Afterburner, no change.
Any idea? thanks
