So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
If you have already lost half of your Investment Portfolio, then the best option for you would be to forget about it until the market will recover because it is too late to sell in too early to buy.

Re: Upcoming economic crisis - crypto safe haven like gold or not?
There are enough signs that an economic crisis is going to happen soon in the next 3 - 5 years.
Whether China's bubble will burst or the dollar will implode. Do you guys think crypto will be as good an investment as gold in time of crisis?
Probably in the time of global economy crash that you are predicting here with come and would remain stable because it is a crypto currency which has no things to do with a real one.

Re: ETA until buying grocery at local farmer's market with crypto?
Have you ever consider how far in the future is it to be able to buy groceries (bananas, onion, etc) using cryptos in the local farmer's market?
Yes I do, I do think that thoughts every time I'm listening or reading all those topics when newbies are saying that bitcoin is about to become the main global payment method in the year from now, it is just hilarious to here.

Right now it seems logical, that more ICOs is turned out to be a scam. It is so hard for the project to gather enough money that they need in order to accomplish their goals, that in fact it is so much easier to create a scam ICO.
I want to ask you all, which altcoins have the best technology? please let me know so I can invest in altcoins that have good technology
ADA, NEO, EOS. Most of the guys here are greatly familiar with those, because they put a hope and big investings in that projects that I have listed above. ADA is even called a blockchain nexgen.

If people would be able to join cryptocurrencies they can get some knowledge, and earn money in the future. After that I can spend some money inside the country. In some way, it helps the economy.

Re: Can Bitcoin Become Mainstream In The Next 10 Years?
It is real for that period of time. But still it is long about 10 years, in year 5 or 3 years the popularity of Bitcoin will grow up very fast and the price will be better than now.
I agree with you because 10 years is a big period of time. Every day more and more people are joined to Bitcoin. So we must think about the polarity of Bitcoin. It doesn't need to be a mainstream.

Re: What would happen if another cryptocurrency took Bitcoins place in Market Cap?
Then there will ne more people investing on that coin. I think for me, other coins such as ETH are way better than BTC. I mean the way ETH has been performing with projects and exchanges, it wil overtake it soon. Nut if you're asking if there is a ripple effect, then i guess not really that i know of.
I agree with you but I think some people will still be with Bitcoin. Of course it is personal choice what to do and everyone must have its own strategy about the future.

Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ?
What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?
As far as I know you will last your access to your funds forever this is the reason why there is so many lost bitcoins in the world right now if there will be some option to recover it I think guys would recover.
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?
In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?
I think that every coin on this market is very living and jumping, so we will never know for sure which coins are slow and which are fast because they can be both in the limits of one day.

Re: Bitcoin losing value is nothing surprising, will continue
Bitcoins losing meaning and value is natural, its not capable to manage the worlds economy, you freaks dont understand that because you dont want to face and consider the complexity of the worlds socioeconomic structure, thinking you could replace all currencies with a currency that is based on race about installed computation power without imense social, cultural, and economic consequenceswas a ridiculous idea in the first place, that drove the ponzi scheme hype and was nothing but a naive illusion, wich you used to collect followers.
nevertheless some good thing remain, of bitcoins shortlived existance
an online kapital market, and a more decentral kapital market where the influence of the national banking cartel is reduced,
exactly what satoshi wanted.
i doubt satoshi was so stupid to actually think that he would replace all currencies with bitcoin like all his followers did.
satoshi was seeking to reduce the influence of the banking cartels, and i think he achieved what he wanted.
Nope, surprising was that day when I woke up and find out that bitcoin is getting $1000 up from the yesterday's price, and it gave me the additional hope that we will be ruling the Kingdom at the end.
Does anyone here use prediction markets? Or have experience building one? Augur has gone down hill, so I set one up myself: NINJA Link: https://ninja.org/
I've been scrolling here on forum, looking the information about the market one day, and this bot appears to me it is called I think bouncy bot, so I have subscribed to it in telegram but I am not fully understanding how it works.

Re: The panic seller irony

When I am transforming into a panic seller I can say that I don't give a damn about the price dumping and about different people struggling. I am just worrying about my losing money and tried to save them.
A politician in my country was able to purchase 275buses in my country for his party in his bid to win the national secretary but the same party is in power and hospitals admit patients without beds.So I ask, will this country continue to exist? Honestly ,am afraid for the future of this world due to the high corrupt activities.
Countries are going crazy all around the world so this is one of the reasons why we need to have this centralised government ruling on blockchain system, I cannot imagine how would it be like as well
CryptoFlip Cars is one of the few cryptogames that has kept improving since the explosion of cryptogames on the scene. This is a blockchain game where you can buy and own your favourite cars and car brands on the blockchain. Not only that, but they have just released RACING on CryptoFlip Cars. Feelin Fast & Furious?! Come blow off your steam in a an epic race, where you can win other players ETH. It's all about the cars and your skill, baby. They've also upgraded their design and have upped the dividends you gain on Car Companies and Makes from 2% to a WHOPPING 10% . That's right. Ten percent divvys! Time to burn up the tracks in your dream car and win some ETH in tyre-melting style!
I love crypto related games, it is because in my time at 2015 I have gained some bitcoin from the gambling sites and that I have sold it for the price of $5000 in lately 2017. It was completely awesome.
All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.
Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine). There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.
Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.
The Bitcoin has no competition before it was created and discovered, but now many people see their capabilities and what they can do more in the future, so many altcoins have also been created to help Bitcoin on its way.

Re: Chinese Investor bought 10,000 bitcoin during the dip!
https://www.ccn.com/chinese-angel-investor-gathers-10000-bitcoins-during-bear-q1-2018/ There was one Chinese investor who is now trending after he bought 10k bitcoin during the Q1 bear or during the bearish movement at the first quarter of the year. According to the article he was Cai Wensheng the founder of a selfie-app called Meitu which is very popular in China. This man is a good sign that bitcoin really is becoming more attractive to big enterpreneurs across the globe.
China is one of the most countries in the world. I see Chinese people very well and they can see the future ahead. Many large Chinese investors are real whales in the crypto market, buying 10,000 BTCs is just for these investors is very simple. Maybe he knows something about Bitcoin..

Re: When you think of currency what will come to your mind?
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) just recently posted a picture that shows the evolution of money that people have used since the beginning of human civilization. Will IMF consider Bitcoin as a new currency?
I think that the future is bitcoin. Now there is a need for anonymous electronic payments, not tied to the state and existing banks. This niche will be occupied by the first virtual currency - bitcoin.
From the first words in this post I was already excited because I love to see the loud names behind projects! One of the first thing that I'm doing usually is checking the history of names in the project.

I'm not recovering anyway, I'm just crying and waiting for the market to recover the point is to take with all that you have, and try to aggregate more while we are still in the down position.
