I know for certain Bitcoin has not gained 57 million users around this time period, so it is not that they are migrating to Bitcoin, I feel as if they are fed up of Paypal's greedy system.

Unforch, not likely. USB 1.1 devices, like the Erupters, don't work through USB3 hubs on the Pi.
sucks. I wanted to use one as well.
So my best bet would to use link multiple USB 2.0 hubs but I'm hardly seeing compatible 10-port on that list with enough amps to use all 10-ports.
Correct me if I'm wrong but each USB miner uses .5a, right?

Also - please ensure you're using a USB hub which is compatible with the RPi.
As a general rule - avoid USB 3.0 hubs!

It may be a 'Pi' specific thing.
I am thinking it is more of a Rasperian thing, under Arch in MinePeon they run fine, I downloaded Rasperian last night and everything went wonkey like you guys are experiencing.

According to the specs, this hub will handle up to 3A, so at most it'll be able to run just 6 ports with these USB miners. Correct?

Has anyone have a list of USB hub that's compatible with the RPi.

( Had three ports that would not accept any Erupter USB that was plugged into it, but worked fine in any other slot. *shrugs* )

Hopefully I can place order for ASICMINER USB MINERS by the end of this week. This is ultimately up to ASICMINER/friedcat having inventory back in stock. Once friedcat allows orders to be placed, I will be ready with this group buy to get the ball rolling

Coinbase is probably the best, but not the quickest. They charge a small (1% I think) fee plus a small bank fee.
Just checked, for 1 BTC ($90.23) they charge $.90 Coinbase fee & $.15 Bank fee. That's it. But, once you're verified, it'll take a week to arrive. Cashing it out is about 2x as fast, however.
Thanks man, Coinbase does has the lowest fees but not as fast...I guess I'll have to wait until the next GB.

Are there any other use for the ASICminer USB beside mining Bitcoins? (ex:litecoins)
You can mine all SHA-256 Coins, so Freicoins, PPCoin, Bytecoin, Terracoin, ...

Yes, there are hardware guys working on BFL boards. not all are doing it because of me, I'm not so special! LOL, there are lots of independent folks who are working on them.So GB is for chips but there's a potential of a working board for these chips.

8-16 suggestion is based on what BFL has produced with their own boards... but I'm guessing PCBs that accept 1 chip may be produced as well.
Do we know how much the boards will cost?
