You can change the settings so I could hit you up. Let me know if you decide to sell in bundles or by GPU.
Done.

I'm interested in the FEs and or the Vegas 64? What are the prices per item and the prices if bundled. Would use forum escrow.
I'll wait a little bit for the offers for the whole thing, and if I don't sell, will be selling separately. You can send the offer for FEs and Vega64 in DM meanwhile.

Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD)
by
hozerdev
on 03/04/2018, 15:16:26 UTC
The cost is based on the current ETH price, if it goes up by Jul, the next batches will be more expensive.
The real cost is 800 + 200 shipping (in US) + 130 ATX power supply, roughly 1100$ at the current prices, close to zero resell value.
The same efficiency as GPUs.
Takes less space. Huge +++
A lot of noise, around 80dbl ?
So it will drive GPU prices down until they reach the equilibrium.

This won't kill GPU mining, but the GPU prices should get back to MSRP, that is a good thing.

You are so wrong, mobile mining let people transfer with negative fees, as in have excess when fees is paid, when they see how it works they will buy more ETN which will drive price and get higher returns for "real" mining, so its a win win, zero fees, is important when living on 2 USD a day, i guess no one here is concerned with the goal of the coin, just to cash in when they see the moon closing in.

I get  1 etn a day on my mobile, that will be great the day it hits 5 USD

I also mine "real" and i also buy ETN. Let the weak hands cash out.
I am missing something here, how come it is the negative fees? There are no negative fees. Yes you can mine it with your mobile, but it doesn't necessary mean it will cover the transaction fees. For how long they can be able to redistribute pre-mined coins?
To be honest 5USD, with 7billion supply, how can they achieve it?

yes

i think Dev should change, RR200 and Gaint N joined mining already

They better do it before ASICs hit the market, otherwise it will be another nail in the coffin. I wish they had good tech rather than promo team, i haven't participated in ICO to demand it, but the investors should do it, I don't understand why they are doing nothing. Guys, those of you who stashed millions of ETNs waiting it "to the Moon" in a hope to dump it with the first opportunity. It is not gonna work, it won't "moon" until they redo the whitepaper.
Still no mobile wallet for iOS, no wallet for PC/MAC. "Mining Experience" did a good job to promote and make the brand Electroneum ETN, which is really good thing, and probably the only valuable about this cryptocurrency. But this mining simulation will not bring more users or investors, more people understand what the mining really is, it is not experience, it is key of distributed consensus powered by PoW, they are not participating in the securing the network. Don't you understand that if you can't secure it, than it worth zero. The users who download the mobile wallet will play with it and dump it, like it happens with every mobile game. You need to do something better than this. My advice go on the marker hire solid dev team and start working on some real stuff, like network throughput, scalability, etc

Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.0 (Windows/Linux)

Just wanted to share that 11.0 rock solid, no single freeze or spurious reboot, while on 10.3/10.6 it was rebooting several times per day.
+1
With older claymore versions, I got several restart per day beacuse "WATCHDOG: GPU 5 hangs in OpenCL call, exit", but with 11.0 my rig is running smoothly for +48h now.
Great job Claymore
There is nothing different concerning that, what you got is just an issue you had to deal yourself and you blamed claymore's previous version, now that a magical fix came, you are saying this version solved the issue hehe, amazing how many noobs we have here mining hehe
Amazing how many idiots are there, that have never written a single line of code, know nothing and judging the others by number of posts on the forum.

Re: Calculating air conditioning on GPU mining rigs, help needed.

I'm going for one of these when the outdoor temps start getting warmer here ...
https://www.amazon.com/AirKing-9166-Whole-House-Window/dp/B0007Q3RQ6
I know what is there on the market, that thing is 3000CFM, for sure it gonna blow like a hell, but again if you have a 1000 GPU it wont be enough.

So my questing is to how to calculate required CFM based on BTU/ACH.

You divided by 60
What do you mean? This is how you get CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute). RCFM = Volume * ACH / 60.

Re: Calculating air conditioning on GPU mining rigs, help needed.

I am trying to calculate the required CFM (RCFM) for the area 10'x5'x6' with 7kW of power in it.
My calculations are:
V = 10x5x6 = 300 ft3.
BTU = 7000x3.41 = 23870
Air changes per hour (ACH) in data centers is suggested to be 50, so
RCFM = 300x50/60 = 250CFM

The problem here that 50 ACH I found in some guides "how to build a data center", so there was no really explanation where this number comes from.
I think ACH should be calculated somehow with using BTU.
And second of all 250CFM doesn't seem enough for 300 ft3 and 7kW.

Any advise if my calculations are correct and how to connect CFM with BTU please?

US New England looking for a place for small farm 40kW
by
hozerdev
on 18/01/2018, 18:50:00 UTC
I have been looking for an option to expand my micro farm (6kW) into something bigger but still small, I am thinking of a 200A service, up-to ~45kW. To do that I need someone with similar thoughts, mining power ~6-10kW, who as me , doesn't fit into the apartment not a garage anymore (heat, noise and summer is comming you know  Smiley ), or want to expand their mining farm and also move the farm into the location with cheaper electricity rates. I definitely don't need all 45kW but for 2-3 small farmers it can work very well.

So I have been thinking of this for a while already:

1. Shipping Container
a ) We will buy a shipping container, install a main panel 200A, intake/outtake fans, filters, A/C units, power/Lan cables, a switch, shelves, etc
It can be assembled manually or bought as a product if any exist on the market and depending on the budged.
b) Find an outside storage place.
I am thinking of the places like secured towing facilities, the regular outside storage places, etc
c) A place should be with cheaper electricity rates then we have right now, the closest to me is PA, where we would get 8-12cents per kWh residential rate. The residential rate in my area Southern CT is 0.17$/kWh.
+
Mobile (we can move it anywhere if needed)
Scalable (easy to clone a farm)
Effective cooling (any cooling design with wall modification is possible)
-
Security (need to host it in a secure place with surveillance, etc)
Internet (cable or LTE might be not available)

2. Storage / Small industrial property
Similarly as with the container. Except it is probably harder to find a place with appropriate rent however I haven't done much research in this.
I once spoke with CubeSmart to host the hardware there. There were fine with all the heat, noise and electricity sub-panel even in conditioned open floor storage space, if I sign a year contract. But I don't think they realize how much heat it produce.

Please let me know what you think guys.

Re: AMD New Drivers Adrenalin - mining Perf same, Claymore temp/fan monitoring broke
by
hozerdev
on 09/01/2018, 23:35:47 UTC
Upgraded RX580 rigs to the new driver and Claymore 10.3. All works fine getting the same hash rate. Cast XMR 0.8 works fine too, same hashrate, had to add --forcecompute and --opencl=1 options to make it work.

However the Vega 64 rig doesn't work with new driver, apparently the issue is in Cast XMR miner. First of all it doesn't work with "--forcecompute and --opencl=1" and the vega cards, don't know why. But haven't had much time to play with it though. I think there should be the way to make it work. The miner just hangs or complains on --opencl=1
And also devcon doesn't disable/enable the drivers programmatically(actually it hangs when trying to enable them), which is probably not needed with new driver.
