Overclocked they can do over 300w but I reckon theyll be around 250w. Maybe lower with some undervolt.

You still need to figure out if youre going to cut the powered risers which im assuming youre going to get. If you arent going to cut them then youd need to run all risers on the same psu as your cpu/mobo and that psu need to be able to handle that. This is important, running some risers on one psu and some on another will result in catastrophic failiure unless you cut the 12v feeds on the riser-cable.

Even if you do cut the risers and run 3 full gpus on each psu then Id say 2x750 is on the low side. Especially for the one running cpu/mobo.

I run 5 sapphire 280x dual-x but I use 3 psus.
850w: cpu/mobo+all p.risers+1x280x(6pin+8pin)
750w: 3x280x(6pin+8pin)
400w: 1x280x(6pin+8pin)

Obviously the 400w is overkill but i had that one lying around so figured id use it and save a few bucks. But yeah thats about as far as I would go on 850w and 750w together (both corsair btw).

If youd want two psus and run five cards then I would probably do one 850w and one 1000w and use the same config as I did above except you run four of the cards 6pin+8pin on the 1k psu.
Skimping on power isnt something youll want to do.

Edit: you can see my calculations here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=441927.msg4856476#msg4856476
They are on the safe side so you might be ok with less but I wouldnt like to bet on that with my money.
It could work with 2 cards on the 850w I guess, if your peripherals dont draw much and the powered risers dont draw the full 75w from each but like I said. Better safe than sorry.

Definitly a mistype. 1GB memory should give you a hint (unless the price does LOL)

You can google the art. no. aswell and itll direct you to a FirePro V3900.

Remember, if its too good to be true, it probably is.

This works just as well as the add2psu if youre keeping your pc on all the time.

For 5 7850's I'd just get a good quality (seasonic, corsair,?) 850w psu (SINGLE RAIL). Should be enough unless your cpu/periph. situation draws too much.

I've just assembled a 5 gpu rig. Granted, 5 x 280x but the only driver I could use to make it work was this: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=11761.0

Followed the instructions but I had to update the drivers twice, dunno why. Be prepaired for a lot of screen flickering/shutting off for a good while when updating the drivers at itll go through all of the cards.

Needs to be noted though, no idea if this'll work for you with 270's and 290. But it looks like it could.

Edit: oh yeah, im on windows 7 x64

They'r still going to take the 10% fee though right?

Price will probably be higher there but I doubt sellers will get more from their btc.

No problems running several psus. I am now running three on my rig. Just make sure you run mobo/cpu and any powered risers on the same psu to avoid trouble. Basicly use one psu as main for everything except the pcie-power and then divide those up between them however you like.

Just remember that the gpus can grab as much as 75w from each x16 port which will be on the main psu.

This might be getting anoying but i would also like to put my vote on fixing so that the mined coins are split even between servers.

I have been on amsterdamn these past 3 days and I have 10ms ping and have been averaging 0,4%rejects during that time. So far, its been fantastic! (im in sweden btw)
But then I look at the stats and see people with the same avg hashrates that have much much higher rejects and they still get loads more btc than me, some even twice as much.

I will not come with any arguments like it not being fair because thats not the biggest issue just yet, with this problem people will start to look for patterns of what pools are the best and they will start jumping to that server and before we know it all servers are empty except one which will be crashing because of all the excess traffic.
That has to be quite a valid reason for h2o to take a look at this asap imo.

I can even say I dont mind the disconnects once in a while because with failover to the other middlecoinservers it wont matter much with a couple of minutes here or there.

Re: Multi PSU Rig - System on one psu or do I need to cut risers? (Sanity check)
by

on 31/01/2014, 18:06:10 UTC
Thanks for your response.

All three supplies are single rail ones with 840w, 744w and 360w max on 12v rail.

I added 150w for cpu etc., I'm guessing youre saying 100w would be enough? It probably would since the cpu is 65w tdp.

Other than that my calculations are the same as what youre saying. So i guess we're thinking I might be able to pull it off without cutting the risers.

Multi PSU Rig - System on one psu or do I need to cut risers? (Sanity check)
by

Hello fellow miners!

I could use your help with a sanity check here.
Right now I'm expanding my rig a little and I'm debating whether or not to cut the pcie risers.

     Here's the deal:
     Athlon II x2 240 2,8Ghz
     Gigabyte GA970-Something
     2*4GB XMS3 ddr3
     5 x Sapphire 280x Dual-x
And the big PSU mess: 1*HX850, 1*CS750M, 1xCX400 (All corsair)

I know I could have bought a single larger psu but im on a budget and this is the stuff I had lying around so I do not need any snarky remarks ^^

My two options:
Run the entire system including risers and one 280x on the hx850 and then 3 280x on the cs750m and one on the cx400.
      OR:
Cut the risers and run 2x280x plus system on hx850, 2x280x on cs750m and 1x280x on cx400.

I must say I would prefer the first way and not cut the risers if my psu wattage allows it.

Here ar my calcs for the first option:

powered risers 75w*5= 375w (I used 75w since its the specified max for x16 pcie, my risers are x1-x16 though, no idea if that matters)

system = 150w (looked up tests for my cpu and they all seemed to be around 150-200 at full load even with a gpu so figured 150 would be safe)

     gpu (8pin+6pin) = 225w (150w max for 8pin and 75w max for 6-pin)

     HX850: 375w+150w+225w=750w

     CS750M: 225w*3=675w

     CX400: 225w

So what do you think, could this be feasable or did I miss something in my calculations?
The gpus will be undervolted too so I'm hoping they'll be way below 250w each instead of the 300w I calculated with for safety.

I realize that cutting the risers would allow me to shift a little bit of the wattage to the cx400 and ease off the other two a bit but like I said, I'd prefer to run it like this if it would work.

Thanks alot for your thoughts on this!

i think MIMI has a point really. He does take roughly $40,000 PER WEEK off this!
I assume he's paying the same percentage in fees as the rest of the miners here, right?

regardless of 1 or 1000mhash, everyone who gets paid should really check whatever entitlement they have at the door.

Everyone should ultimately vote with your rig. that can only increase the signal:noise in the thread.

Thats really all there is to it. You can bitch and moan all you want but he has never promised his support would be top-notch. And you are not paying for it to be either. You are paying for whatever h2o feels like delivering.

Say that you pay 50$ a day for his service but after a while you are not satisfied with what is being delivered to you. You tell him about it but in the end its not good enough for you. Then guess what, instead of fighting on a forum, put that energy into finding a new pool or why not run your own.
In the end, people leaving is the only thing that'll change things imo.

This was a perfect opportunity for me to widen my horizons a bit and locating some other promising pools. Even if middlecoin stays like it has you should always have alternatives, actually doesnt hurt to diversify your hash a bit either. That might even help lowering your blood pressure a bit.

(For the record, i switched to middle after hashcows was hacked so I cant say I worship h2o at all. I merely find this endless bickering to be quite anoying.)

Please note that currently auto-payments will not be sent out (You can manually cash out at any time). This is because until now people were unable to make modifications to their coin settings to potentially correct a wrong address. We'll give people another day or two, and then re-enable Payout Threshold payments.

is this a joke? or I do not see anything?
i have a current balance which is some days old and i don`t see a button or something else to make a "manually cash out" !!!
and I ask about it already 2-3 days

please explain

First go to:
https://hashco.ws/balances/
Click: Proceed to Cashout

You're current balances will be there check the box besides BTC and then click "Cash Out"

the Button "Proceed to Cashout" is only at the Alt-Coin Balances, not at  BTC Balance!
and i have no Alt-Coins so nothing happens when i klick on this Button.

Thats my Problem!

That big blue button is for all coins. (bitcoins included!) Worked fine for me about 20 minutes ago, got my payout insanely fast aswell.

Possible to safely cash out btc to a digital wallet (like paypal)
by

Hi!
Fresh user here, I have mined some alt-coins and turned them into btc.
I am now looking for a place to cash in some of it since I'd like to pay off some of the hardware.

Is there anywhere I can sell them and cash out to an online wallet like paypal. I know paypal is a big nono with their tos. There has to be alternatives though, right?
