Thank you for joining us and sharing your wisdom! I hope you will be joining us in Slack also?

Thanks for the welcome CCRevolution! I did join the slack a while back but I got tied up with stuff so I didn't check it out too much but I will definitely be getting back on it now.

Yes, XBY is going to revolutionise Cryptocurrencies. In my opinion, the biggest growers in crypto are investments based on protocols because of their ability to scale. Read my article here: http://smallcapcryptos.com/xby-proof-signature-revolution/ on why I think XBY will 20-50x in the near future.

I did come across your site and I found it very useful - thanks a lot! And you certainly do get it when you say "In my opinion, the biggest growers in crypto are investments based on protocols because of their ability to scale" - we share the same opinion Smiley

Could you clarify this part from your article:

Quote
Also, if you get in early this will give you the opportunity to buy a L2 node (250k XBY), and potentially even the chance to purchase a broken L1 node (500k XBY) in the near future.

I take it that this means all of the L1 node slots are now filled up but you can still create L2 nodes which receive less of a reward? By broken L1 node do you mean that if a node goes down there is a chance to take its spot?

I was responsible for a big chunk of the buying over the last 24 hours...

Basically, my strategy which has served me well over the 6 years I have been in cryptos, is what I call the "cherry picker". I simply do a lot of research, find coins that show HUGE potential based on a number of criteria, ensure that the marketcap has a favourable risk/reward ratio, and then I go balls deep and hodl for years Grin

Additionally, I only go for gen 3 coins meaning the backend is something other than a gen 1 POW/POS system, preferably not even gen 2 (e.g. dPos-based systems, ETH). I consider gen 3 to be structures such as a DAG https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Directed_acyclic_graph (Byteball,IOTA,ADK), Block Lattice (Raiblocks), or something entirely different than what is currently out there (what MAID is working on, what DLS formerly WBB is about to come out with, what Radix is about to come out with, and this new Proof of Signature that Xtrabytes is developing).

I really like what I have seen so far with the devs and community here and I have no doubt that Xtrabytes is going to be a huge success.

Keep up the great work!

NEWBIE TIP: Just by being in this thread you have already picked a winner. That's not the hard part. Being "right" is easy - now you must "sit tight". Buy as many Xtrabytes as you can, put them in cold storage, forget about them, come back in a couple of years. Thank me then  Smiley

PATIENCE is all it takes.

This is exactly my strategy aftet a similar length of time. I made all my big wins on only a small handful.of coins and only fucked up cause I betted too hard on one that was a great project but the developers were in the end corrupt. My other thing that took me sooo long to leqrn is patience and im not going to make that mistake on this one....no way.....you will have to take my xby out of my cold dead hand.

LOL, yup just hold those XBYs with a strong hand over the next 1-2 years and it will be such a massive win that it will make up for many past mistakes Smiley

I added some data to the Comparison Chart :

Since Raiblock uses 1 blockchain/account (block lattice), I think that the check mark for "blockchain based" is still correct...
There is no single blockchain as in bitcoin, but - correct me if I am wrong - Raiblocks uses the concept of a chain where the current block points to the previous block.

@s11made - great work but I would definitely not use the word "blockchain" for Raiblocks... blockchain is outdated and seen as a negative now where everything is moving to non-blockchain setups (such as IOTA and Byteball's DAG and Raiblock's "Block Lattice").

With a blockchain, each link in the chain is in order and blocks are confirmed in order whereas with a DAG or lattice setup, there isn't such a "linear" element to it.

Personally, I would put an "X" for Raiblocks in the blockchain column but then in parentheses put (Block Lattice).

Here is the original thread on the Block Lattice posted by the Raiblocks dev:

Very nice comparison chart but please edit it to say it is NOT blockchain based, RaiBlocks uses a "block lattice" which is more like a DAG style that Byteball and IOTA use as opposed to the ancient "blockchain" technology that Bitcoin uses.

I'm using the QT wallet because I didn't see a way to expose the private key in the HTML5 wallet...

Is it safe to just backup the private key for an address from the QT wallet?

Is there going to be a different type of wallet coming out in the future? I take it we'd have to transfer the coins in some sort of swap? Thanks!

When the DIONS upgrade is here we will only support the HTML5 wallet. No need to swap. Just backup your wallet.dat (as always) and you are fine.
We will post a thorough FAQ before the DIONS release is being done.

Richard

Thanks Richard!

Please add a way to expose and import private keys in the HTML5 wallet so that backing up the actual wallet.dat file is unnecessary in the future.

So I read the genesis block will be produced in October... does this mean there won't be any way to trade Boscoins until then or will there be some kind of token distributed in advance? Thanks.

Any news dev? Isn't a new wallet supposed to be coming out soon?

The new wallet will be ready soon. We are also re-launching a few services now that we have what we needed in place. I know everyone hates hearing... "soon". However, I rather say soon than give a firm date and then not deliver.

Best,
Christopher

Fantastic! The altcoin market is so hot right now that I have no doubt Bytecent's popularity will take off once these updates are released - especially if you coincide the release with a big fat marketing campaign  Wink

Thanks for the update.

We already are on exchanges:

- Mercatox
- Bitgrail (written from 0 for XRB)

Honestly, go on bigger exchange won't change things in my point of view.

I see this road actually for the coin:

- some node improvements
- light wallet for mobile and desktop
- at least a company which provide PoW on demand asking a little fee
- more adoption by serivces, and so more nodes.

This is a great roadmap, but don't forget about Bittrex! We don't need to be added to a whole bunch more exchanges, just Bittrex (it's doubtful we'd be added to Poloniex as they hardly add anything).

Last I heard the dev was working on making wallet updates so that Raiblocks could be added to Bittrex... once that happens, Raiblocks' popularity will skyrocket!

I get this when opening 7.8.4 just now "Error initializing node". Tried the previous versions and i get this "Error deserializing config". Anyone has the same problem?
You can rename config.json in %localappdata%\RaiBlocks and try v7.8.3

What about my problem?
No, the point is where seed is normally I have a blank space.
There is no field to copy Seed from, just button.

To make it a little more clear, that is correct - there is  no field to copy the seed from. Once you press the button it is copied to your clipboard.

@Blockpool - I sent you guys an email... ADC calculations are off on coinpayments.net... they were WAY off last night and are much better this morning, but still nowhere near 100sats per ADC or even the 7,000 ADC per TEC unit quoted on your ICO page.

I'm out too - I believe in Boscoin but the ICO doesn't make financial sense especially since it is getting more expensive by the day.

If you want a successful ICO I would strongly recommend reducing the price since the Boscoin price is fixed and BTC keeps going up.

wow prepare your anuses.  300% coin inflation by 2019 from tx fees, stakes and projects premine (1,500,000,000 boscoin) and 600% by 2022, initial sale of 500,000,000 coins with 29% of that already sold to "insider investors" I'm guessing......I think I'll wait to buy at the exchange if I buy at all.

Wow, that is a pretty extreme inflation rate. Now that you did the maffs this doesn't look so good anymore Sad

@mynhpark - Are the ICO figures and total coin supply set in stone? The inflation rate does seem high as does the initial valuation (I believe someone calculated that Boscoin would be worth 16m after the ICO ends).

I really want to invest in this project big time and see it succeed but I would hate to see a FUDstorm right out of the gate as people rip apart the ICO terms / inflation rate, etc.

It really does seem like the risk/reward does not warrant buying into this ICO (better to wait until people start trading on the exchanges).

If you can do something to make this a little more attractive for ICO investors then I think you will raise far more money than if you leave it as is.

Just my 2 Boscoins   Smiley

I have to say I don't understand why Mercatox gets such animosity. I've traded large volumes on there over a couple of weeks and I didn't have any issues.

BTC deposits were super fast, but I think the source of a lot of the complaints must be XRB deposits and withdrawals. They process them manually, so it can take up to 12 hours.

Other than that, they are perfectly safe to use and currently have the highest volumes so unless you need your transaction processed instantly, there's no reason not to use them.

No reason for these two exchanges to fight either because RaiBlocks will most likely be added to Bittrex soon and then the arbitrage opportunities start because it will be a three way between the XRB exchanges  Grin
