I have been trading bitcoins since the days of CryptoXchange, so I've been around the block more than a couple of times and run into my fair amount of scams.
My experience is as follows:

25/8-26/8 Deposited $1, withdrew $1. All checked out well
26/8 Seems legit, so I deposited a sum that CoinJar won't allow.
27/8 Money appeared in account
I noticed you need to be level 2 to withdraw any money, so I uploaded documents using the webcam feature in the verification process.
3/9 I was told this was too blurry.
4/9 I then uploaded them as scans
6/9 Scans too blurry
8/9 sites not letting me upload new documents, eventually can after contacting support again.
8/9 new scans uploaded
10/9 told to upload notarised copies of the documents and also mail documents to iGot as they could not find me in the white pages.
I had already verified with a license, utility bill, bank account, bpay and mobile phone number.
I have also sign up to NAB's uBank account using less than this, verified accounts with CoinJar, Kraken, Bitstamp, so its not a new process or anything here.
10/9 I live fairly remote from town so supplied more bills and confirmed a whitepages listing, told I still needed to notarise documents.
11/9 I made the trek into town, got documents notarised, uploaded and sent the originals express post to iGot's address on their site.
15/9 Hadn't heard anything so I sent a support request and was told my account would be verified in 24-48hrs.
17/9 Received copypasta saying they are verifying documents and will lift restrictions when done.

All the while, my revenue streams are hindered which is negatively affecting my trading business.
Will be lodging a complaint to fair trading and consulting with my solicitor if their are further delays.

Will keep you updated

Re: Install Bitcoin Smart OS [HELP]

I am currently learning Node.js and have set up a Node.js instance that I believe runs Smart OS.
I have downloaded the bitcoin source, but am having trouble installing and running bitcoind.
Does anyone have instructions to set it up on Smart OS?
From what I can see, SmartOS is an OS designed for Node.
I think it's unlikely you'll get the required libraries to work on SmartOS, and I don't know if there's a real compiler and dev tools available for it.

You'd be best running bitcoind on an alternate GNU/Linux server, and connecting to it from your SmartOS instance.
Note: if it's not on the same network, you'll want to set up RPCSSL or your connection could be compromised.

I've never used SmartOS, but if the dependencies aren't easily available then it would probably be more trouble than it's work trying to get it to compile rather than setting up a separate server or virtual machine.

If you use RPCSSL (which I would recommend, if you're opening RPC on a port other than localhost), watch out for the Heartbleed vulnerability; version 0.9.1 patches it, but older versions are open to attack.

Thanks so much. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even if I was to run a ubuntu server, it would be better to run bitcoind on a separate server for security and easier scalability?
I'm developing on Amazon AWS, so Im inclined to do RPCSSL calls anyway.
Is Node easy to setup and use as a webserver in ubuntu?

Thanks Goxed!!

Do you have any idea what was changed in the project to get it to build and meet timing?

Cheers again!

Not sure about everyone else, but I was able to achieve this by increasing the clock speed.

We are in such a great position for Bitcoin based projects to flourish, but I feel we are still far behind the EU and USA in terms of Bitcoin technology and adoption.
With so many great mind's out there, it's got me thinking.

How many Australian's are on Bitcoin talk?
Are there still people mining?
How many ASIC's are in Australia?
How easy is it now to buy bitcoins compared to a year or two ago when exchanges like Bitcoinica, TradeHill and CryptoExchange reigned?
Who are leaders for Bitcoin in Australia?

I would love to see more meetup's, conferences and discussions happening in Australia, and possibly even hacker days to fuel the development of more bitcoin based projects.

Board Scam Accusations
Re: SCAMMER: CoinJar.io / Zhou Tong - Deletes My Coinjar Account & Balance

Provide evidence before you go making accusations.
I trust CoinJar with thousands of dollars in transactions and have never had any problem with them.
All transactions were conducted smoothly and efficiently without interruption. Their site is well designed and the security in CoinJar is evident with each update they make. Furthermore they're adhering to AML standards in Australia and use sms verification to assist in this process. If you are having problems, its more than likely you are attempting to scam them.
Now referring to your direct accusations of Zhou Tong, he is only one third of the business. If you took a moment to read through their site, you would see this, and see that they are backed by a team of well trusted professionals.

28nm should hold up for quite some time, most enhancements will be made through more refined code and power efficiency.
There are 20nm SOC's out there, but I imagine it'd be quite a while before this technology makes it into Bitcoin ASIC's

I'll have to grab my multimeter and see. Is 400Mh/s really the fastest this can pull? I saw a post from goxed somewhere stating 1Gh/s. Other documentation suggests 825Mh/s.
Is this set by the hashing clock multiplier clk_out1?

EDIT: Fan hadn't been connected correctly by the factory
EDIT2: This thing is so much fun!!!! Testing different config's now to see how much I can hash.

By gosh, I think I done it.
Once python was running in cygwin it seemed to recognise the KC705 worker module.
Installed pyserial the same way and away she goes.

thanks, hopefully in time I will be able to make my own contributions to the project.
Turns out I hadn't programmed it, but I've got it programmed now Cheesy
Just need to get this python sorted out and hopefully I will have it hashing away

EDIT: Copied files to

modules/fpgamining/kc705_uart/__init__.py
modules/fpgamining/kc705_uart/kc705uartworker.py

Ran MPBM using python (not entirely sure with using cygwin, but downloading atm). The web interface opens ok however I cannot see KC705 in the list of workers.
Tried changing from COM2 to COM1, can see hex values when I open COM1 in putty.

Hi,

I just received my Kintex 7 Evaluation board, having a play around, I believe I managed to flash the KC705 project to the board. However I am unsure how to connect this with CGMiner or any other mining software.
Could anyone please provide some assistance?

Thanks.

All sold.
The price of Ripple is set to skyrocket over the next 12 months.
Get in early while you still can.

Selling just under 100 000 XRP.

BitStamp is currently offering 5225 XRP /BTC

I am selling for 5710 XRP /BTC.
expecting Grin

Yes haha. I was sceptical when it was first announced, but it actually offers quite a good trading platform meaning one does not rely on one exchange to control the flow.
I read that Bitstamp will also be closing bitstamp coupons in favour of using Ripple. Along with the attention it is starting to get, I believe the price is set to climb significantly over the next 12 months.

I know the bids and asks, if you log into BitStamp, what I stated is how much they're asking.
There's a lot of people who don't understand how trading in the ripple system works and this provides a convenient alternative.

I am not trying to kid anyone, just offering a services to those wishing to get XRP.
