Re: Governments attempt to destroy crypto

It really depends. Some governments do not want multiple currencies that compete with the currency it controls. It threatens the governments financial control. On the other hand, some countries could care less, especially the ones that are not tecnologically advanced.

Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct?
by
i287853
on 16/10/2017, 23:00:03 UTC
Total removal of fiat from the society will do more harm than good.
No matter the level of technological development, not everyone will be able to embrace cashless transactions. And also, most services need to be paid in cash.

That is very true, also I dont think fiat will be gone complete, people have always trusted and will always trust something they can hold on and something that is physical, that is why gold has always remained valuable, if something replaces fiat it will certainly not mean bitcoin since the government doesnt want people outside the government to be rich, they will use their own little dirty system, so speaking of that let fiat just stay and let it live with bitcoin as a digital payment, it will do all good.
in addition to that, the use and exchange of something physical in doing transactions has been around since god knows when. It would be really hard to remove the aspect of physical trade to the human consciousness.

Re: Bitcoin is the invention of the century!

I don’t think so. Smartphones and devices and social media, can be considered as the greatest invention of the 21st century. Bitcoin on the other hand can be one due to it’s innovative characteristics ,however, we can say that it’s still on its infancy stage compared to the two that is already being used by everyone.

Re: How to play gambling in a smart way?
by
i287853
on 16/10/2017, 22:11:07 UTC
I guess the best way to play smart in gambling is set a limit on how much loss you can take and a goal on how much profit you can earn. Its the same thing with trading, your number 1 enemy in gambling is your emotion. Some gamblers don't know when enough is enough. Bringing someone with you when you play is a good idea to remind you if you reached your limit.

If we set limit, we dont have to worry about losing alot of money especially money that we shouldnt be using. Alot of people think that there is no use to set limit but for me it is very useful. By setting some limit, it means we are playing smartly already. We dont play to win but we play for fun and if we win then that is a good bonus for us

Setting a limit is like an automatic stop when we reach the threshold of coins that we can afford to lose or an amount that we target to gain. Having this setup alone is not enough though because you need to also add your will and discipline to really stop playing when you reach your target numbers - this way, you are playing smart, for fun, and straightforward. So it seems that there is really nothing to lose after all.
its hard to set a limit if you have access to your money especially if your losing and your mind is clouded on getting your losses back. It is best to have a separate account dedicated for gamblinpg. Put the money that you can afford to lose on that account. If things are’nt going your way and you’ve used up all the funds on that account, seeing a zero balance will have a certain effect on your mind to stop as you do’nt have anything to lose anymore

Re: What could go wrong with Bitcoin?

No, he talks smart. Smart investors always prepare themselves for the worst.
I do agree though with LoyceV when he says "all eggs in one basket" is not the best thing to do.
all smart investors prepares themselves for the worst and does something about it before it happens. There should be signs, as a smart investor you should be able to read and anticipate these signs and work your way of of it. I dont see the worst happening to bitcoin in the near future though so you’re good.

Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned?
by
i287853
on 16/10/2017, 12:40:25 UTC
For now I think it's going to be tough if want to ban bitcoin, because bitcoin communities are big enough in the world and bitcoin users also feel good results from bitcoin because bitcoin has good potential in the future, so chances are if bitcoin is banned then this community will move for fight it. I personally would not agree if bitcoin is banned, we must maintain the existence of bitcoin in this world.
let me add that bitcoin is not something illegal and harmful to be banned. Bitcoin is a technology that that was made to make transactions simpler and more innovative.

Re: Government regulation of bitcoin
by
i287853
on 15/10/2017, 14:24:42 UTC
The only thing I think government will take an impact if they were able to control bitcoin is that imposing tax on earnings that we get surely the government would like to have the majority of bitcoin in the market to sustain their power and to have control over the economy's wealth
You are right, and this thing will be so bad for bitcoin community, because when the governments make some regulation to bitcoin maybe it will affect bitcoin too much. Bitcoin is more good than to be controlled by government, because it will be some rules and bad things..., Futhermore, I see that bitcoin is more better if it will be like that.
let me add that government regulation defeats the purpose of one of bitcoins characteristics which is being decentrelized. Regulation of bitcoin should be upon the bitcoin  users, not the government

I haven’t bought bitcoins for quite sometime now considering its surges, i work for it through this signature campaigns. Best way to be profitable is to not have to cash out. Once paid i hold on to it and wait until the price goes up.

Re: Is an economy without physical money safe for the poorest?
by
i287853
on 14/10/2017, 21:25:56 UTC
you will remain poor no matter what currency you are using and whether it adopts a digital system or still using physical currency, the assets you have are same. hackers will also think of spending their energy to steal less money from poor people.
Same as i was thinking! Poorest of the poor currently can already be considered as “cashless” as they dont rely on physical money but on services provided by the government and other private sectors. In the event that physical money is not being used anymore, it wont really be that much difference for the poor people

Re: is it better to invest in bitcoin or ethereum ?
by
i287853
on 14/10/2017, 21:04:52 UTC
I prefer bitcoin because it is faster and more profitable. the current bitcoin price is much higher. I suggest that you look for opportunities to get bitcoins at low prices if you want a bigger profit.
yes indeed that's true but in my view better choose both rather than pick only one of them but if you have to choice between them then bitcoin is more potential rather than ETH as you can see bitcoin has already reach all time high and still possible for next several month bitcoin price will surpassing the current all time high so invest bitcoin indeed profitable

you are correct, better to invest on both or better to broaden your range of investment with other altcoins. For me, il put the highest percentage of investments in bitcoin due to its sheer popularity then distribute the remaining in other altcoins

Re: Is it a sin to gamble?
by
i287853
on 14/10/2017, 20:36:04 UTC
This question is only for people that are into the spiritual side. Sin is described as an act that doesn’t conform to a certain law more specificly a spiritual law. So there is no definitive answer to this question as it would really depend on someones spiriual belief. People that is not into the spiritual side would just care about going big or going broke.

Re: Gambling Excuses
by
i287853

Gambling with someone else's money is a very bad idea.

Gambling with your own money is a really bad idea except you just have so much and you are willing to give some out, let alone, gambling with someone else's money? That is a horrible thing to do. It is not just a bad idea but an extremely worst idea. It is more like loosing in 2 places. Loosing your soul due to addiction (cause that is the only reason I can picture someone doing something that crazy) and then going into more debt.
this is true. Gambling with your own money, be ready to go broke, gamble with other peoples money, be ready to lose friends and family. Well its gambling, its your chance to take, better be ready for the consequences

Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity
by
i287853
on 14/10/2017, 08:25:42 UTC
playing in the gambling are fun and relaxation from the stress but don't put your mind to got profit in gamble your money is in the risk even the gambler have a lot of skills are you put in the hole your money thats the reason people become addicting.

To turn it to a profitable activity, continuous learning or honing of skills should be attained. You may want to have a master or a sensei to do it. Gambling games like poker or other card games is what I meant.
Skills indeed will increase your chance in making gambling profitable. However, when you say “profitable activity” its sounds that you will always win which is not the case even if you are already skilled. Its gambling because you gamble, you tAke chances and there’s always a chance that you will lose.

Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022?
by
i287853
on 13/10/2017, 19:46:37 UTC
maybe not yet on that year. but by that time more people will have trust on cryptos both BTC and altcoins.
Not going to happen soon, next year or the next 10 year because the adoption is still very low.
We are going at the right direction just like what you can witness now, bitcoin will be mainstream soon so for now let's just keep holding
and make this our best investment in life.
Right! 2022 is too soon and bitcoin being used by everyone is highly unlikely. You have to consider that there are countries especially the third world ones that are not yet technologically advanced. Some may haven’t even heard of it and doesnt know cryptocurrencies exists.

Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes
by
i287853
on 12/10/2017, 14:04:58 UTC
this one is the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin that it is being used by criminals to do illegal activities like money laundering and trade of illegal stuffs.
people use dollars for the exact same thing; i dont think the neighborhood weed dealer is really going to ask for bitcoin over a good 20 dollar (or whatever currency you use) bill. same thing with larger deals, in fact, its probably much harder to trace a suitcase full of paper money (assuming there isnt a tracer on it or anything) over a pseudoanonymous transaction made with bitcoin. there is no possible way to trace that suitcase, aside from reading individual serial numbers of the bills, and even then you would have to know what serial numbers are contained in that suitcase full of money. with bitcoin, the transaction is right there o the network for everyone to see. you would know exactly which address sent exactly how much money to another exact address. its just a matter of linking those addresses to a person and the transaction to what deal was made.
i agree that there isn't much difference between the use of bitcoin and fiat. The transaction and transfer of funds might be a little different due to bitcoins anonymity but the actual products are still being traded physically.

Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries?
by
i287853
on 11/10/2017, 23:30:54 UTC
For me it is pretty unlikely to have Bitcoin banned in most of the countries. If several governments decide to ban the use/ownership/... of bitcoin (they can not ban Bitcoin as "technology")
we will have to follow their laws and are pretty helpless. Governments already showed us they "do whatever they want". It's hard to look ahead into the future.
But i still believe there are far bigger problems governments are/should focusing on. And Bitcoin will stay Bitcoin.
that is correct, especially on third world countries. They have far more important issues to deal with other than bitcoin. It would also take a lot of time effort and funds to enforce banning the use of bitcoins. Some countries already did it but i don't see it being done on a larger scale.

Re: How did you started to gamble? What was your beginning like?
by
i287853
on 11/10/2017, 13:53:50 UTC
I always staked the lottery but never won, then i decided to do sports gambling because most of my friends were into it and they were actually winning so i decided to get involved as well. In my first bet i placed a small amount and made some good money and that got me hooked up very well. Since then its been a series of losses with some wins in between them.
Same. In our town, old guys ask the kids for lottery numbers because they believe that kids has the best luck. That being said, i grew up taking my chances in the lottery. Then came card games. I prefer card games than betting because you have more control and requires skills compared to betting which depends more on chance and luck.
