Re: A teen is given $1K to invest into Bitcoin - what would you recommend for them?

For a teen, the best way is to buy a good mining rig and start mining. It will take a few months to pay for itself, however you will learn far more about Bitcoin by mining than by any other way.

If you buy Bitcoin they will just sit there, then you will spend them. Game over. If you mine, it will be for life.

I'm sure mommy wouldn't want to foot the bill after giving her teen that much money. The money and time spent mining and reselling the obsolete equipment afterwards is just not worth it.

Even waiting a few hours to get your money is unacceptable. These banks have too much control over people's lives that something better for the 21st century is needed and I'm not sure if that's bitcoins or some other crypto.

Very nice site. I found out my account is not worthless after all  Grin
What is the criteria for a normal account and merchant account? I haven't made many trades on here but I've eaten my fair share in one sitting.

He could upload it on bitfinex and use the free MarginBot to lend the USD out to traders. He would receive around 20% a year. At least it was that way some months ago.

The risk would be that bitfinex is an exchange and exchanges can go down.

Investments are always risky. You should think of them the way that you might get 100% in a year on top of your investment but when you start you lose 100% and the question is open if you will get your investment back at all.

That is a tremendous return rate, is this still occurring? I don't generally trust exchanges with my coins but with a return like that and knowing that finex has so far proven reliable, I might give it a go.

LOL.
Explain me what goes after the Airbag Open issue with this prominent 4 weel car at the price of $110 000 and more?

Tesla model 3 coming out soon and it's only 35k-25k depending on where you live. I will be putting in my pre-order soon. Elon Musk will not disappoint !

I don't exactly have a need for them, but I like them. I see why they would be useful for those who maybe do not have computer access, or need to buy BTC with cash.

Re: How to motivate women to use Bitcoin?

Well today is the International Women's Day. I think it's a good idea to gift a Bitcoin paper wallet along with the flowers as a sign of appreciation for what they have done for you over the years. In this way you will show your love and promote Bitcoin to more people.

This is a great idea... but it can't be an unfunded wallet. Must have some BTC in there.  Smiley

They are both them same in terms of buying something. However for receiving payment, paypal is slow. Receiving payment is not instant, and in the event that it is, you still won't have access to your funds until paypal releases it...which could be a few business days, or even a couple weeks.

Does anyone use Bitcoin ATMs? Where are you located? I live in California; there were about 10 ATMs in the area, but over the past couple years were removed.. Now there are only 2 that I know of.

Do you guys find Bitcoin ATM's useful or have a need for them?

I've seen a lot of these charging stations listed as free. For example-- in store parking lots, huge parking garages, etc. I think it depends on where you live?

I'm located in California. I get mixed opinions --there are people who think bitcoin is related to bad things, there are those that like it and can have a good conversation about it, and there are people who have heard of it, but have no clue what it is. Most of my colleagues have heard of it, but don't care enough to learn more.

I am a lady & I use bitcoin. I'm sure there are a lot of women who are interested and use it regularly (for things other than "shopping"). For those who do not use it, are simply not interested. Same thing goes for guys... so gender is completely irrelevant  Tongue

Very unique concept you have here. Have you thought of doing a contest for popular mmopg games that people play regularly? Another good game to play for BTC based on skills is a game call pocket tanks.

My BTC position is long and strong. I'm betting that it will reach its boiling point this year. If that's a bad or good thing we'll just have to ride it out this year and see.
