These links are dead.
Please wait for a while while the devs release the software. It was only downloadable for a while. In the mean time you can restart you NCC and NIS and boot your nodes.
EDIT: Here is the working link - http://bob.nem.ninja/nis-ncc-0.6.26.zip

And how exactly can i do that?

When i right click on the nem icon @tray it just shows gibberish symbols (another bug), so i have no clue what to do really.

If you've been using webstart version earlier:
kill any running jawa/jawaws processes
Go to java control panel, and hit "View..." (can be run with javaws -viewer)
from "applications" remove both NCC and NIS
to be sure check resources and clean them all (this will cause redownload of everything, which might take a bit,
but should help with most of the problems)
If you've been using installer, run uninstall (or remove via "Programs and Features")

Remove whole c:\users\\nem (or /home//nem)

**NEM requires Java 8**
Remember installer requires 64-bit java
You can download java from official page: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Can somebody explain how to fix 'NIS needs to be booted. Please open your wallet and boot a local node via the popup dialog or configure the auto-boot setting. (at block 11824)' ?

The whole client is a mess... i am getting tons of bugs
Please restart you NIS and NCC. New software with fix is up.

thx instaman, now I actually understand this software some more...
frankly I didn't get what nis and ncc is or mean earlier or why this seperation exists in the first place (lol, i'm not the tech savviest around).
I didn't know NIS is enough to be harvesting. now I know
but I think many new users will just be running nis+ncc on default port. isn't that a real issue for the network? I mean you said if ncc can be accessed then nis can be crashed!? you guys should fix that somehow.

It is a problem but rather a small one  Smiley. Please view this youtube video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbFiWeeMUDI. And then block the port 8989. This will ensure that nobody can remote access your NCC. Everybody should block the port 8989 in the inbound and outbound rules.

an hour ago I restartet my computer because NIS was not available. after that I tried to start NCC in browser and had a new wallet in my nem ncc directory böser dämon is the wallet called: B%C3%B6ser+D%C3%A4mon.wlt
and NIS is not available since then. Maybe I got hacked because how could be a wallet in my ncc directory, which is not my wallet?

Hi himmelsfaller! Sites like nodeexplorer.com expose your IP address. With this information anyone could try opening NCC over the web via http://xx.xx.xx.xx:8989/ncc/web/index.html.

Chances are someone accessed your NCC and created that new wallet. When running a public node, it's best not to have NCC running (running NIS with unlocked account is all you need to keep harvesting) or change its port to something unique only you know. I could imagine that NIS is not available because the same person specified a remote server (probably non-available one), which is why your NIS doesn't boot/refuses booting.

In NCC, go to Settings and see what is specified. Change it back to your previous settings. If you have harvesting activated, you can go ahead and close NCC. Then simply keep NIS running.

It is actually kind of a flaw that NIS can easily be made unavailable simply via NCC's front page at this point. I wanted to point this out earlier but you reminded me. Hope that helps.
This is a problem. Please view this youtube video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbFiWeeMUDI. And then block the port 8989 to be rather safe than sorry. Everybody should block the port 8989 in the inbound and outbound rules.

What a shitty software system... cant login... error 709... Start local harvesting and then -
"Oops!
ERROR 709
The account is unknown. An account needs to be part of at least one transaction (sender or recipient) to be known to the network."

go away...
Pleae check the OP - https://forum.ournem.com/technical-discussion/welcome-to-nem-launch-0-6-25/. I think you maybe using an older version.

All node ips that are offline are blured. To obfuscate full nodes ip addresses makes no sense. You have more than 100 openapi nodes where everyone can get the data again with low effort.

If you want privacy use vpn/tor and dont host a full node from your home.
OK, Didn't know about the open api. Thanks.

Just a simple NEM newbie question: The importance is something like 1%oo. So I guess it does not mean that my importance is 1% because my stake is much to low for such an high importance  Grin What does it mean instead? 0,001%?
NEM uses the "per mille" system for it's importance score- Edit: Sorry, It uses the per ten thousand system - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basis_point.
The per mille system was used in previous betas we tested.

I cant login to my account, say the name exists and I can see the coins on the address and I have the password (use a password storae system and checked in the redemption phase, as I had to use it there) and I have the privkey

the password is apparently wrong

so how can I use the priv key, when I try to enter the priv key in the import account function to a new account it is still asking for password so how can I just try the private key by itself?
What do you mean password is wrong? After you use the import function, it'll ask for the label, the private key and the password. This password is your wallet's password which you use to login into your NEM account at the start of the NCC.

Safest way to check is as follows:
1. Download the installer to a system(trojan and key-logger free) on which NEM has never been installed before.
2. Install it.
3. Create a wallet and boot a node.
4. Disconnect from the internet.
5. Verify real account information.(Everything seems to be good......COOL!!) If all is not well, Create new real account info. Save the address, public key and private key. Send the new account details to makoto or patmast3r asap.
6. Close program. Go to control panel and uninstall the NEM software and delete all the shortcuts.
7. Go to c:\users\your-pc-name\ and delete the NEM folder.
This way nobody will even know that anything related to NEM ever happened in the pc.

(NOTE: -There is no need to download the whole blockchain to verify real account info.
-If you do not wish to copy paste the real account info, you could always take a screenshot and save the picture for better security. And then you can type in the real account info on launch. At least I have done it this way Smiley)
