I didn't borrow the shares to get cash, I already had a loan for that. I borrowed the shares because I saw an opportunity to turn profit /  make my loan cheaper...

Oh yeah, get this deal closed and I will feel much more comfortable, save me a nice chunk of coin.
It's in the range that I think making a profit on the short is a good possibility to.  Cool

I have a pending deal for 30,000 shares of the G.SDICE listing on BitFunder. I will let the other party announce themselves Smiley
I will be paying an upfront premium of BTC4.37 and will repay any income those shares would have received during the time I held them on May 17 2013
I will no longer be looking to borrow after this deal. Thank you.

Tobacco products almost guaranteedly will go up in price because most governments in the world raise taxes on them.

Implies the government has the ability to collect taxes

The risk exists but is not unmanageable. Most of the risk is the difference between the BTC and $ price
I have funds on loan at a rather high interest rate, I should be able to buy back S.DICE cheaper than what I can sell it for now.
So it actually makes more sense for me to borrow S.DICE to sell and use those funds to close out some funds recently received from private lenders.
I will save money on the loan even if I need to rebuy S.DICE at its current price and could even potentially turn a nice profit when they dip.

As for what happens to the dividends, etc. ... I work out the premium I will pay for borrowing the shares with each individual lender.
Most lenders take into account the dividend income when calculating their requested premium Smiley
The shares themselves will be paid back 1:1 on May 17 2013

So with the BTC rallying up, S.DICE is valued at ... 1 000 000 000 * .0062 = BTC6200000 @ $30 | $18,6000,000
Is this high? low? about right?

Woah you guys are getting into some complicated reasoning

I figure it simply like this: BTC is going to continue to rally up and you can only put so much of a $ premium on a brand name

100 000 000 shares trading at .0062 says S.DICE is worth BTC620000 @ $30 = $18,600,000

Now S.DICE is a nice profitable site with a strong brand... but at 18.6mil I think it is a little over valued.

I have an opportunity to put cash to work and make a great return in a relatively quick period of time.
I believe I will be able to buy S.DICE back cheaper and save myself some money on the loan.

I dunno, this seems to fast to me. In my head "on track" is a doubling of price every 2 months, and that's bullish me. ...

anything goes tho, this is Bitcoin!
