Re: Thoughts on Tron Fees Going UP 4X
by
icekohl
on 28/11/2020, 04:05:19 UTC
When the number of users and the number of transactions skyrocketed on the network, the increase in transaction fees is inevitable. However TRX's transaction fees compared to ETH are still very cheap, so I have no problems with it.

Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs
by
icekohl
on 27/11/2020, 17:18:30 UTC
Yes, I think after the trend of yeild farming by provide liquidity pool and defi, the biggest problem of DEX was liquidity and cross-chain transactions solved, so the number of users increased and they We have seen the impressive growth of DEX in the past year. I think once the transaction fee and timing issues are solved with ETH 2.0, I think next year will see the further development of the DEX.

I have not seen many major media outlets officially reporting this. If it is for real, it will be a huge trigger for the upcoming bull run of the crypto market.

Re: Gold or Bitcoin
by

on 26/11/2020, 15:20:52 UTC
Let's say I have a huge amount of money as an investor, where do I put them? Bitcoin or Gold

We all know that gold is known for its stability which could be vital in times of financial crisis; but doesn't exactly bring good return  WHILE Bitcoin on the other hand can be quite profitable  but it's risk of negative volatility can be catastrophic!

So which has your vote? Gold or Bitcoin!!!!
You are here so I think you have your option. BTC is more risky than gold, but If we look at the past 10 years, we all have a clear answer. We still hear a lot of FUDs about the value of BTC, but it still stands up and grows steadily every year. And moreover, BTC shows many advantages over physical gold for the purpose of storing value.

Re: Best altcoin to buy now on discount?
by

Ethereum 2.0 will launch on December 1st, so I think I could buy it around 500 $. The later stages will require more ETH for staking, so I believe in the possibility of its price increase.

Re: Is this the long awaited bull run?
by
icekohl
on 25/11/2020, 16:19:44 UTC
Comparing the current market movement to that of 2017, it's kind of synonymous and a pointer to the start of bull run. Although some parameters differs and will have impact on this current one (if so) which might limit the longetivity and price impact and people might be carried away till the reverse begins to happen.

Please share your views if this is the bull run we are waiting for and how long should we expect it to last?
Yes, people are comparing 2020 to 2016, because of its many coincidences: the US presidential election, the bitcoin halving. And it looks like people are waiting for a 2021 year to explode like 2017. However, the situation has changed a lot now, as the number of crypto users has increased a lot compared to 4 years ago, and if you want a bull run, it would require a huge amount of money to flow into the market, as the current market size is so large.

Re: Great news for XRP coin holders?
by

XRP usually only goes up once a year but it goes up very strongly and in a very short time I still remember in just about 2 weeks it went from $ 0.7 to over 3 $. I think there's a lot more good news for XRP coming up to help it reach even more unbelievable prices.

Re: DEX must take over
by
icekohl
on 24/11/2020, 15:47:03 UTC
Decentralized exchanges need to take over centralized exchanges in the future, going fully decentralized is what makes more sense around crypto, centralized exchanges can be controlled by the law and government, I heard court is asking users data from centralized exchanges too, just imagine if all exchanges in crypto space are all DEXs, I know that DEX has its flaws too but it's safer than centralized exchanges
Yes, now the DEX has grown and improved a lot over itself 3 years ago. However, it can only pass CEX if the problem of fees and transaction speed improves, and it is possible that the coming ETH 2.0 will solve this problem.

Re: XRP Could Hit $1 This Year
by
icekohl
on 24/11/2020, 15:44:38 UTC
There's still a long way to go from here to $ 1 or even beyond XRP's $ 3 ATH. I think $ 1 is only possible when BTC breaks above the psychological resistance of $ 20k and stays steady above that price.

Re: DeFi hyip is over?
by
icekohl
on 23/11/2020, 17:04:08 UTC
Well, DeFi seems to be the most interesting token to trade as it reacts very quickly and strongly to market news. Currently, when BTC is strongly increasing, these tokens are also top gainers on coinmarketcap. So it can be said that the defi hype is not over yet.

it's not over yet, Hype Defi will last until next year, I'm sure that,
because Defi is not a new thing, it has been around since when Ethereum was launched many Defi platforms have sprung up,
but we know defi hasn't been Hype like now.
I think we need a new game to hype it again, because Yeild farming seems like no longer attractive enough, and trading volume on many DEXs is decreasing after reach its ATH in August. Maybe a new kind of lending scheme, which will bring new inflow to this market.

Re: Which is for you the best Defi Project for 2021?
by
icekohl
on 20/11/2020, 09:05:31 UTC
Crypto projects are mostly DeFi by nature, but the term has recently become a hot trend in the market. Currently most of those projects are down at least 50% from the ATH price, so I think its trend is over, we will have to wait and see what the new trend of 2021 is.
In recent months, the Defi project has become one of the attractions for investors to invest their money and this positive trend has had a quite positive impact on the development of bitcoin prices and other altcoins in the market, at that time, the Defi project seemed to give a new breath to the rise of cryptocurrency slowly, but now it seems as if the Defi project is also starting to go down along with some fraud that occurs and of course it's pretty good and scammers are starting to eye some official token protocols for them to use as their means of fraud.
Yes, I think it's somewhat similar to the ICO of the past, helping to bring huge amounts of money into the crypto market. It can be considered a positive thing. After the hype it will need to correct and return to its true value.

Re: Why can't the current Ethereum price keep up with the Bitcoin price?
by
icekohl
on 20/11/2020, 08:48:13 UTC
Look at market history so I can say it's a cycle. This time all of cash in the market is transfer to BTC, and ETH is just an altcoin, so it's inevitable that cash flow from itself is being transferred to BTC as well, make it can't going up with BTC.

Re: Is Ethereum going to Die?
by
icekohl
on 20/11/2020, 08:32:01 UTC
We have less than a month and more than 400k ETH need to deposit into Ethereum staking smart contract to enter phase 2 of ETH 2.0. I don't think it's easy to achieve, and ETH 2.0 still remains a big question about its capabilities.
A lot of information is circulating if ETH 2.0 will be coming soon this year, but until now there is still no definite information whether Ethereum 2.0 will actually be launched this year or should it be delayed longer? It is true that ethereum has sent a large amount of eth into their smart contracts, but of course this is not a certainty if ethereum will be launched soon, but at least with the launch of ethereum 2.0 it can increase the speed, efficiency and scalability of the Ethereum network so that it can process more transactions .

But the minimum requirement to launch the eth2 network is 524588 ETH staked in its smartcontract. We just have few weeks remain to reach that goal. So I don't know if this condition is not met, can the eth2 mainnet behave as it would in their roadmap?

I agree with you due to the high fee, especially when making any transaction in UniSwap. Sometimes it shows in hundreds of dollars. I think this is the Uniswap type website side fee?
Ethereum will have a major update soon, gas fees issue should be resolved by ethereum 2.0. I also don't think that people will easily leave Ethereum considering that Ethereum is one of the strongest top coins today.

Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk

I'm also there and not very active. Recently I was annoyed by some high-rank members via PM after I was speculating about spammers on that forum. Quite surprised that many spammers are able to do 100 posts/day even some of them are done by their moderators. I said they're probably bots and they didn't accept it, LOL.
Yes I have a high rank here too. On Altcoinstalk you cannot spam continuously because its system only allows continuous post after 90 seconds, and it checks by IP. I don't know how they can spam like you said.

Almost DeFi, "YFI" family and .finance domain bounty threads now seem like all scam. They just try to imitate the Defi trend, using hunters to promote their project to sell tokens on uniswap before turning to exit scam.

Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in?
by

Just go to the products they create. Every promise on paper or even a strong team with no real product is not worth the investment.  Existing investors have very good knowledge, so it is difficult to attract them without a strong product.

Re: What Is Really Happening To The Market?

Paypal allows buying BTC, while increasing the buying limit of BTC to $20k/week. So I think the amount of money flowing into the crypto market in the next months will increase even more.
