Wait what? Polo confirmed???

Yeah, I didn't get that out of reading that screenshot either.

I think Polo is inevitable, but if someone has an actual confirmation, I sure would love to see it.

As all slack old hands know, the second question is "When dividends" Wink

Well I do agree with you on that one! During the ICO, Jani & other team members where here almost every day to answer any questions we had.

Like you, I was in regular touch with Jani & even build with another funder the (now defunct) iconomi.rocket.chat with the intent to provide a first class LIVE helpdesk channel in behalf of ICONOMI.

As soon as the ICO ended, we got no support as promised and all our emails/messages are left unanswered. Even the slack channel originally moderated by Jaka went dead.

I do understand the team is probably busy trying to develop the funds but going missing particularly with the funders is unacceptable.

Also, I would rather prefer to get a weekly update on ICONOMI's development instead of reading unnecessary blogs about the psychology behind ICO funding. We didn't fund writers but a financial platform that so far has not delivered what we've been promised (just my personal opinion...)

A large part of the collected funds is earmarked for the ICONOMI.performance fund that aims to invest in other good ICO projects. But how do you tell good projects from bad? It turns out that it's quite complicated and many factors have to be taken into account. The recent series on ICOs wants to show our thinking behind ICO evaluation and get feedback from the community and the ICONOMI investors.

That said, while a few of us are very busy analysing different ICOs and speaking to potential investments, the devs are working hard on developing the platform.

Wednesday 21st December we'll give access to the very first few from our early access list (we expect feedbacks from those users). Maybe same day, maybe within next 2-3days early access will be given to all on early access list.
A day after access willl be given to all 3,508 investors.
Wednesday 28th December is THE launch date for all.

This is Jani's post on a recent reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/ICONOMI/comments/5hd6de/its_almost_middecember_whats_the_official_launch/?st=iwm2indj&sh=3bf85687 , where we also hold regular Q&A sessions. I would hardly call that missing Smiley

true, doesn't mean it was necessary. I'm still waiting for their reasoning on this one, I did due diligence on golem too and decided to stay away.

Guess that's something for Tuesday's AMA

Daniel's evaluation should give you some insight into the reasoning: https://keepingstock.net/the-crowdsale-analyst-golem-final-thoughts-eaf65d80d472#.32ri7vu2s

(also - I'm Jan, the other person mentioned in the blog post - hi everybody!)

it will grow, i heard that they will give visa cards to their ico investors.

looks like not true

Each ICO participant will be able to receive debit card. Regardless of the amount invested. However, we'll have to set a threshold above which we'll be able to send it for free.

For example, we can't send it for free to someone who invested 50 USD for example.

Depends on what kind of valuation you are shooting for. ICO's currently raise all money in one big swoop. There are potentially better ways to do it, so that you don't sell supply so early. I can detail the method if you want.

Are you thinking of something like several funding rounds at different valuations, a la startup/VC model? if not, do tell Smiley

Re: one reason why bitcoin will not surpass fiat

Monetary policy - controlling the supply of money - is a big lever in a country's economic toolbox. Letting go of fiat would mean letting go of that - and we can see with Greece how bad that can be for a country. That means that either fiat will always be here or an alt currency where the national (or international, in the case of ECB) bank can control the supply of money will have to be developed.
