This chatroom is fallen in disuse because we all using telegram, the communication is constant in telegram between members of faircoop, devs, founders, marketeers, etc. There are at least monthly faircoop and faircoin presentations and workshops happening all around the world from mexico to germany and the local nodes of greece, the iberian peninsule, italy and kurdistan are starting to cooperate on a greater scale.
Faircoin is far from dead and is actually focusing on a community approach almost unheard of in crypto and that it has the infrastructure to be the digital green currency for a new global economic system based on cooperation, freedom and equality.

Fair Game (https://fair.game) have a token named FAIR.
Both fairgame and FairCoin have the same symbol (FAIR) on coinmarketcap.com.
This is already causing confusion and problems for sites that show stats e.g. cryptofolio.info shows stats for fairgame when it used to show stats for FairCoin. It shows you the price of FairCoin, but it is actually showing the price of the fairgame token

I agree, that Fairgame should be shown with a different symbol to avoid risk of confusion. Like FaiG or FaGa or something else...
Anyone have idea how to promote this change?
I'm not think it's possible to change thier symbol (need to update in trading platforms and all crypto index sites...)
We just need to inform new users in our ecosystem how to detect correctly FairCoin...

Reading more into Faircoin I am surprised that there is not a lot of community presence here but plenty of updates on other sites and the official price of Faircoin is not the price it is trading at on Bittrex and makes me think somehow somewhere somebody is getting rich through Arbitrage by buying at Bittrex and selling to those that do not know of Bittrex, cool, wish it was me.

The conversion process found here: https://github.com/faircoin/faircoin/wiki/FairCoin2-migration-FAQ seems not work.
I've got the same issue and my wallet balance is still 0.
I've checked the lib and it sounds good.

yes, after the first fork, faircoop recover all unused faircoins from airdrop and give users option to take them before moving to faircoin 2 (more than 1.5 years).

It almost happened to me. I've been around since first airdrop, and was able to recover my coins in the last days...
I think this should not happen. When you leave you money somewhere, if you don't touch it, you won't expect that just because you haven't move it, someone thought it should be right to take them from you
1) I think it happened because developers did not want to have a lot of lost coins.
2) You can not complain, the choice of this currency was made because of his name and not because of the people who received coins from him. So that faircoin2 is actually a new currency for everything. And if the developers did not choose this currency, it would not be worth anything today.
3) You should tell them thank you that they gave a long time to recover the coins.

I have 2 Faircoin addresses which originally contained 1000 coins each from the free distribution in March 2014. However these coins were recovered in the February 2015 1.5 update because I left my wallet unused
I know it has been over two years, but... is there any chance I could get the coins back? I have the private keys and I can send a signed message to prove ownership.

I received 5 faircoins during airdrop. I don't really remember how many faircoins I had before. That 5 fairs must be the airdrop. When I started new wallet, my coins from old wallet.dat showed up. I didn't touch that wallet.dat since 2014. Try installing latest faircoin wallet and start it. It automatically migrated my old coins to new wallet from appdata faircoin folder. This how my appdata folder looks like with two faircoin folders together.
You could clearly see wallet.dat was created in 2014. I was away from crypto world for 3 years and got back in recently. Then I found out I lost lots of coins because they went from POW to POS etc. Add to that cryptsy exchange.
Recovering your 1000 coins would be really great.

Enric i've contacted bittrex-bill on bittrex slack and he says that you didn't gave enough time to prepare so it's better to delay the launch, and contact them the on their slack http://slack.bittrex.com/ for plan the update.
I do not think that the launch should be delayed, perhaps only to issue an orderly announcement that trading arenas may take several days to update.

First of all, After some hours, it seems that this claim is not really true, as there not seems to be plan to proof it..
what is true is that this person has become involved in faircoin since few months ago and is really supporting things, and probably being a holder.
And what is funny, is that faircoin it seems be important enough for having false claims, like bitcoin... lol
