Yahoo Japan to Launch Crypto Exchange
by
idex100
on 17/09/2018, 21:49:21 UTC
The Financial Service Agency FSA (the top financial regulatory agency) in Japn has revealed plans by Yahoo Japan to launch a crypto-currency exchange platform within Japan and extended to other parts of the world. Currently, FSA has received at least 160 applications from different companies to launch their own exchange. It will be noted that Bitbox, (launched by Line Corp) had its license approved by FSA and they are currently operational overseas.
Yahoo, unlike facebook and Gmail seem to be less critical about crypto-currency, Yahoo Finance is already reporting several crypto projects in development, their interest in launching a crypto exchange will certainly be a welcome development and could drive crypto adoption as it shows cryptos in a better light.
What is your opinion on this? I would love to hear your thoughts.

Crypto- addiction, Signs you may be an addict
by

Do you always feel the urge to check your phone several times in a day even when there are not logical reason to do so, or get excessive emotional on the turn of events within the crypto-space? You  may have to take a step back and re-examine some of these actions so as to have a full grasp of things. You may be a "crypto-addict''.
Addiction as generally used refers to a condition where one engages in the use of a substance or a behavior for which the rewarding effect will be providing a compelling incentive to repeatedly pursue the behavior despite detrimental consequences.
For crypto-currency, it is not hard to get 'high' on the rush, too much emotions and some moments of frustration or bitterness when things do not go our way and as such can have some detrimental effect on other aspects of our lives- family, social life, friends, day job etc.

Common practices or signs in my observation includes the following

1. If the price of bitcoin or your favorite altcoin is the last thing on your mind before you sleep, like a it is the last thing you check before you sleep
2.If price is the first thing you check when you wake up
3. You always have a tab on your favorite crypto website(e.g  coinmarketcap ) open even when you are at work
4. You cannot keep up with your friends or colleagues on general subjects unless it is related to blockchain or you avoid general interactions altogether so as to be fully focused on your crypto portfolio
5. You spend a better part of the day looking at charts or on market reviews even when you do not intend to make an investment decision soon
6. You check for market updates on your phone every other minute.

Why you should want to be moderate about it
Most of us are in it for the money and the knowledge but it should never be at the expense of other good things of life such as
1. Family time or relationships ( you don't want to get your spouse sad)
2. Health, no need to get too stressed up.
3. Social interactions or having a nice time with friends or colleagues at work
4. Job, most employers will not welcome the idea of you getting too distracted at work
5. Leisure, we all need to relax once in a while.

What you could do
1. Allocate a fixed time of the day to handle your crypto-related issues
2. Learn to apply less emotions to your deals
3. Do not invest all of your life's saving in a single asset, true with cryptos, I can make you too obsessed with it
4. Appreciate other good things in life, make friends ,go out, date and enjoy a good life
5. See a psychologist if it very serious

Please add your own suggestions ,comments etc

That's the strategy they employ because they know that you are likely to sell from the emotion of fear and then loose money

Market manipulation happens all the time, not just in cryptos market but also in other markets such as stocks, commodity market, precious metals etc, it is just unfortunate that it is rampant with cryptos

Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?!

Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!
If you do not sell your tokens off at this near bottom price, there is still a chance that you will have a recovery in the not so distant future. Especially if you are holding coins that have the potential for growth

174$ was  a scary price for ethereum, thankful I wasn't swayed into selling, Luckily, that was the price it bottomed out and a lot of persons missed  a great buy opportunity. Things are recovering nicely

The crypto market always gets better after every downfall. We have had a long bear period of over 9 months so when the bullish market returns,we are likely to see a lot of coin going past their previous all time highs

I prefer investments in cryptos than in the stock market. The crypto market is still new and there is so much room for growth and innovation, unlike the stock market with so much automation and saturation. Cryptos are easier and more profitable

Currently, ethereum is playing hide and seek game looking at how its value is playing currently. Today, it assumes a certain price, another time it will assume another value. Anyway, purchasing some ethereum whiles the price dropped below $200 is a good initiative. You will at all cost earn some profit because, the price of ethereum will surely increase. It is just a matter time.
Barring the activities of market manipulation, I think ethereum is moving fast out of the woods and is taking altcoins (especially erc-20 tokens ) along with it. Let's  hope it continues in it current trend, recover against bitcoin and bitcoin just USD

That was the bottom of the Ethereum price, a lot of persons expected it to go down further, I am glad it didn't as it would have dragged the price of altcoins further down.

No, only bitcoin is relatively more resistant to the drops in price, only on the relative sense because it even lost 1000$ on a single day.it will take time to have a stable market

To make money in large amount as far as most markets are concerned, you go against the herd, against popular opinion, buy when all others are selling and sell when they begin to take interest in buying

It is easier if you do not get too hooked or emotional about trade or investment, first it helps you make better decisions and also help you to think clearly when losses eventually happens.You. Wont feel too hurt as you are detached emotionally from it

Much of the fall in the price predictions has been on technical analysis which will crumble when something very fundamental happen to the market.I don't think we will fall that low for eth.

I use to ignore the need for institutional funds as we could do without it, now the market seem to be in need of some sanity from the market manipulators.we need SEC approval of bitcoin investment vehicles that could bring fresh funds in.

Well,  manipulators, they created  fake news carried by the media, amplified by YouTuber and Influnecers and then the market collapsed. Goldman Sachs came out to refute the news after the damage has been done

Cryptocurrencies are no doubt  amazing, peer-to-peer but it by no means a very good tool for government since the control of the flow of money is a tool the government can use to control the economy. There will be some challenges if everything is cryptos

I have had some issues with them in the past, had something to do with withdrawal, it took support upto 3 weeks for a complete resolution. I am trying to discourage you, I am saying you should resubmit all they ask for and be very patient. They will eventually resolve it.
