Re: [ANN][ICO] CombiCoin: the cryptocurrency that is 100% asset backed by the top 30
by

a minimum of 10k to participate? That is high risk investment if since we have no proof of a  functional bot that generates profit, setting the two tokens at 5$ a piece seems a bit high as well especially since the model for the coin is focused on stability( wich is good for someone that wants to maintain a slow growing protfolio) but when you say 50% of profits will be distributed to tria holders, is this profit only generated from the "smart contracts"? If so then the only additional profit for this coin is with your smart trading technology, other than a hopeful increase in assets correct? And with Combicoin you imply in the white paper that other coins will come out underneath the parent coin(Combicoin) will these have to be purchased separately or will holders of this ico be rewarded? -- Sorry for all the questions just trying to piece it together, thanks!

The pre-sale is indeed $10k, but during the ICO that starts September 1, 2017, the minimum investment will be $100,-.
The token isn't set to 5$ per piece, The TRIA token is a bonus token you receive during this ICO.
91 - 99.9% of all funds raised will go into the assets of the CombiCoin.

The holders of CombiCoin will then benefit from the diversified risk and the growth of the top 30 currencies.

The monthly dividends paid are indeed generated by our smart trading software that will sell and buy coins with some profit, you can find a detailed explanation in the whitepaper.
50% of the generated profit is automatically transferred to all holders of the TRIA token.

We plan to release other type of CombiCoins in the future, but we will not create more TRIA tokens. These other type of CombiCoins will also be managed by the smart trading software. This will increase the monthly generated profit and thus increasing the monthly profit share to all TRIA token holders.

let me know if anything is unclear

I want to like it but just saying you are going to buy the top 30 coins seems... well plainly like a poorly executed portfolio. And the fact that you plan to release other combicoins leads me to believe that eventually this project wont be the teams main focus which isnt putting my thoughts at ease either, frankly the only value i see here could come frome the tria token and that is if the smart trading software is able to generate profit. I like the idea of a coin backed by other coins i just feel that choosing the coins should be a more slective process with money left to further invest in newer currencies. But by creating a coin that will only be backed by the top 30 at a time when most coins are at an all time high just doesnt feel right, is this the real straategy? And if this is successful why focus on creating other combicoins, just to get rich quicker? because if the intentions were to benefit the community as well as the coin and developers it would only make sense to expand on the assets backing the coin, i.e continually adding newer coins to back Combicoin as well as adding more quantity held. I could get behind this way of thinking, but here we are in an ico phase that is not yet proven and already talking of other tokens you wish to create, wich just means other money that will not go into further developing this coin.

Guide to put a remote EN in a VPS server like Vultr or VPS.ag in Ubuntu 16.04 x64

And done. My nodes have the bad habit to fall down every 10-15 days, take a look sometimes to their status with:

Donation address (give me a bit of your returns, I'm a poor man Wink ) : EenLewAUJNYR2EWVd4qRCyq7vrzysLkpRb

Salute, and any correction will be appreciated.

THANK you so much I just got some coins, hopefully i can setup a vps server soon. Im a noob to vps but will try to get it going. If not i will run off my main home server, is it ideal or possible to run my nodes in vm's on 1 pc if i wanted to setup 5 nodes? I have the storage im thinking of just running a tiny linux distro or something to conserve ram, and i have plenty of storage.

oh yeah and what are yalls thoughts on getting a slack or telegram up and running. Im seeing that this coin is taking off this month. I want to mine so we should keep the community active?

How are you mining like what software, pool, and miner hardware are you using? Im ready to stake this coin for the long haul, so any ideas you have to contribute im down with. I want to help the development and ecosystem of this coin. I just hope the dev sticks in it and tweaks something just enough to give it an advantage over some of the other x11 clones. If this can be done then i think most peoples hesitation to enter will fade it just needs 1 unique thing... we shall see Smiley

One of the best websites i stumbled on that has a course for free to is babypips.com  Its for traditional stocks but helped me a great deal, that and studying chart patterns/breakouts helped alot. reading traders journals was interesting as well. think the book was the life of a commodity trader or something similar

I really dont understand how to calculate activity and post counts, isnt my post the same as my activity? please teach me thanks.

Post and activity are *not* same. "Posts" is total post count. Instead, activity depends on no. of posts you made during certain periods. A period is 14 days[1]. You get maximum of 14 points per 14 days as activity. If you haven't made any post in a 2 weeks period, you will loose activity points in that period forever. However, if you make at least one post in a period, you won't miss those activity points, instead, it gets accumulated and once you post next time, your activity will increase. That is, if you posted 3 times in a 2 weeks period, then your activity increases by 3 at the end of that 2 weeks period and remaining 11 points is saved up for later. When you post next time, in another period, you will be able to get 25 points, either if you post 25+ times or if your "posts" is higher than activity, i.e. 14 points of that period plus 11 points from previous period.

Scenarios:-

1. Consider you have 112 "posts" and 112 "activity". You post one time, then at the end of a period, your activity and posts will be 113. You got 1 activity point and remaining 13 points will be accumulated for later.

2. Consider you have 112 posts and activity and you made 20 posts, then at the end of period, your posts will be 132, but you activity will be 126. (Note: 14 points max per period(2 weeks = 14 days.)

3. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 15 posts, then your posts will be 140, but your activity will be 126. (Note: 14 points max per period.)

4. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 1 post, then your posts will be 126, but your activity will be 126. That is, you get 1 activity point by posting once in that period plus 13 posts (125-112=13).

5. Consider you have 125 posts and 112 activity. You made 5 posts, then your posts will be 130, but you activity will be 126.

[1] Someone has made a list of dates. I will post here if I finds it. If someone else knows, please post!

Edit: Got it! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0

P.S. If you can't understand something, don't tell "I didn't understand"! Instead, ask about the part you didn't understand. It will help us to give you a better and accurate answer.

Thanks for really explaining this, this should be up there to help others quicker.
