Re: How to take part in CheckDot?
by

on 14/11/2021, 14:35:37 UTC
I heard that in the CheckDot platform any user can participate. In theory, everyone can take part in inspections and also receive a reward for this. However, I don't quite understand how. Does anyone know what are the conditions for taking part in the project? Thanks.

In fact, CheckDot hasn’t launched yet. But this platform will be for reviewing and auditing various projects in the blockchain world. Thanks to CheckDots, you will be able to understand whether a project or a token is legal and find out all the information about it. Users will also perform as auditors. So you will also be able to take part in checks and also make money on it.

Re: The problem of the constant need of being up to date to HODL crypto

It is a real hobby for some people to follow the crypto market. Actually, not all investments require you to be always up to date.

If you invest in bitcoin or in any other mainstream currencies, you don’t need to worry about this as the more you hodl the more you get then. In terms of altcoins it is very important to be aware of all news.

3 years ago, when I started investigating this market, there were Litecoin, Ripple, Bitcoin cash at the top, but now this top is completely different.

Re: ETH adoption lately is high
by

Ethereum's network is really going strong right now specially that EIP 1559 was fully operational. There are various reason with this adoption and the best one is the burning functionality to the fees generated.
I also think that the burning of ETH is what make the price of ETH going so high and the market going strong today, the market has been having pump for few times already but the price of gas is also staying high although the promise was after the upgrade the price of gas for eth will be solved I expecting the price for gas to be the same as Binance Smart Chain but right now its even become higher than before after the price increase, i think many people still prefer to use Binance Smart Chain today.

I don’t think that it is possible for Ethereum to have fees similar to Binance Smart Chain while it is working on Proof-Of-Work. Actually, I strongly believe that transaction fees will be lower when it is switched to Proof-Of-Stake. But I don’t think that Ethereum is likely to be as cheap as Binance or Polygon one day. Personally I prefer using BSC in any case. Moreover, there is a big ecosystem as well.

It is difficult for me to make up any functions that can be used to create an education on blockchains. We can pay for education via blockchains, but what else?
Actually, thanks to Non-fungible tokens teachers can provide students with different materials and access to different platforms, it will be very interesting! Maybe I will work in this sphere one day as this thought gets me interested.

Re: Robinhood Crypto Trading
by
illnino
on 16/08/2021, 05:45:47 UTC
The popular US based stock trading app, Robinhood, is planning to launch a fee-free crypto trading platform in February of this year for a select few states in the US and will expand to other states over time. I believe they are only offering BTC and ETH at this time. This could be a real game changer in the crypto world for people in the US once Robinhood gets this going.

Here is a link to get on the waitlist https://crypto.robinhood.com/

Consider signing up through my referral (dm me) or someone else you know so that you can get a free share of a stock worth $5 to $190

If not using a referral link for free stock then the main website homepage is here https://www.robinhood.com/

*Reminder* This is US only. You must be a US citizen to create an account with Robinhood. Also as a side note this is NOT anything like a crypto exchange in the traditional sense many of you are used to. This is a US based stock trading brokerage that is expanding into the crypto world after being established for 5 years as a company in the United States. They are worth 1.3 billion dollars here in the US and have millions of users. If you were to use any type of crypto comparison to them the only ones that even come close are Coinbase and Gemini.

Unfortunately, I am not from the USA, so I can’t check this platform out on my own. But I wonder if it is even possible that platforms don’t take any fees, it is not beneficial for them. But maybe they get profit when the price of their stocks grow. If you are aware of this, please explain it to me as I want to look for something similar in my country if this idea is interesting.

You can try TRX-BUSD on pancake swap. APR is 46%, which is quite high considering that pancake swap is a very reliable platform and that it is a pair with stable coin, so you will not have an awful situation when one token is falling and another one is growing. In this case only TRX will grow. As you see on pancake swap APR is even higher than on  Biswap and Beefy, so you should try.

Re: I hope others will learn from this
by

on 16/08/2021, 05:27:30 UTC
Holding coins and tokens and not looking back until you start hearing how big crypto market is will leave you in a very bad mood, I'm sure this must have happened to some people here as well, this is my new sad story, I have some moozicore and nxps in holding and I just heard that they swapped to new coins leaving my tokens useless

MZI swapped to MZG
NXPS swapped to PUNdiX

I hope others will learn from this

Everyone has probably experienced this, it's just that people don't express it for real, so we need an understanding of the tokens we hold today, to prepare for what might happen in the future.

Moreover, conditions like this happen to people who are new to the crypto world, their initial enthusiasm to start has begun to disappear with conditions like this, never give up on events like this, this is just the beginning of the many that we will meet in the crypto world.

I still don’t understand if it was a scam or this guy just didn’t contact the development team to get know what happened, as I guess that there were different notices and maybe he still can swap his token for new ones. Nevertheless it is quite strange that developers decided to swap tokens for something new. I think that it is rather a scam. Please be careful before investing and hold only mainstream coins!

Re: Bitcoin adoption and increase in crime rate, how correlated are they?.
by

My crypto teacher from the university said that it was just a fake that criminals liked to act using crypto. According to statistics only 2 or 3 % of crimes were committed using bitcoin.
On the other hand, I think that it is much safer for criminals to use crypto currencies as they can give you real privacy (Tornado cash, coinjoin, monero, zcash).

Re: Whose job should be more appreciated about Bitcoin widespread?
by
illnino
on 15/08/2021, 05:34:18 UTC
I've always wanted to ask this question, I don't know if it sounds funny or unintelligent, not actually trying to downgrade anyone's contribution to the open network whose existence has impacted our economy, everyday life and internet connections. So, it dawned on me to ask this question Whose job in the entire Bitcoin history deserves the greatest accolades?
1. The minners
2. Influencers
3. Centralized exchanges
4. The users
6.  Other please specify.

It is difficult to think in such a way as all participants in the crypto market have different but really important roles. If there are no miners, we will not have coins. If there are no users, nobody trades them. And so on, and so forth. But to my mind developers deserve the greatest accolades. They are very smart people and create new crypto solutions, I just admire them.

Re: Can altcoins be divided into mainstream, non-mainstream, and junk coins?
by
illnino
on 15/08/2021, 05:20:37 UTC

In this altcoin sector, I prefer to call them air coins, because sometimes they are invisible and intangible, and sometimes they disappear without you being able to track them.

I sorted them into categories: mainstream altcoins, non-mainstream altcoins, and junk coins.

What are altcoins? The following link is very detailed, you can refer to it for comparison.

https://www.investopedia.com/terms/a/altcoin.asp

Mainstream altcoins have different functions, different founding teams, and have a strong trust endorsement, a strong technical team, giving us enough confidence, I can accept it, for example, Ethereum, Monero, Litecoin, etc. . Non-mainstream digital currencies also have a relatively strong trust endorsement, especially the founders who dare to innovate continuously on the basis of Bitcoin, especially in the field of DEFI and NFT, which are also acceptable by many people, such as UNI, SUSHI , FTM, CRV, etc. The rubbish coin is pure violent marketing. There is no well-known team, no economic model, and pure plagiarism. Some will not give you tokens, and some will just run away. The entire publicity process is simple and rude, with one purpose: please Add bitcoin to my wallet address.

Has everyone been deceived by altcoins again? Please report them and tell more people not to invest

I like your definition about mainstream, non-mainstream and junk coins. I completely agree with you about this. When it comes to long-term investment we had better choose mainstream or non-mainstream coins, as they have the best dev teams, the best communities and they are likely to give us money within time. As opposed to them, we should avoid junk coins, they are suitable only for trading.

Re: Bitcoin brings us true freedom of thought
by

on 14/08/2021, 06:27:39 UTC
I agree with your philosophy that Bitcoin and blockchains technologies in general give us freedom. As because of their decentralisation and irregularity we are completely responsible for our finances and our decisions. Nobody can ban Bitcoin's transactions, so you are free to send your money wherever you want unlike the case with ordinary bank systems.

Re: What factors can affect the value of Bitcoin?
by
illnino
on 14/08/2021, 06:20:20 UTC
When we reach the max supply. Miners will not get new Bitcoin, but they will get commissions that people will pay for including their transaction in blocks. Commissions must be quite high so that this work will still be interesting for miners, on the other hand, people will not use Bitcoin if it costs too much to transfer it. Maybe they will hold, but if nobody buys and sells, there is no movement in price, so it is an open question for me as well.

Re: Hackers returns huge money stolen in biggest crypto heist
by

Talking about a hacker of polynetwork, I consider him to be rather  Robin Hood than a scammer. He has already returned the whole sum of money. It was the biggest hack ever, but the hacker wasn’t interested in money. He just wanted to point out the vulnerability for devs to fix it. And I hope that developers will mend their smart-contract. I think that it is a very unusual case that will go down in history.

Re: Becareful with Meme Coins
by
illnino
on 14/08/2021, 06:02:36 UTC
In the short term different shitcoins and meme coins are really more likely to give you big profit because it is easy to pump them when a lot of people invest in them at the same moment. But in the long term, I am sure that exactly holders of strong coins like Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB will win and earn more. Talking about meme coins, their hype is already over, so I think we had better get rid of them.

Re: Gold to 600 $?
by

on 10/08/2021, 06:50:07 UTC
I see a huge extended m-pattern in the gold chart.
Do you think Gold will go to 600 $ in a few years,
because of Bitcoin and Ethereum?
As far as I know the commodities market, gold is in the global bull market, so I don’t think that it is likely to drop so significantly. Talking about Bitcoin’s impact on gold. We can say that people choose crypto instead of more traditional financial solutions today, although it is more risky. Moreover, China started replacing gold with Bitcoin last year in its reserves. After that, Bitcoin started growing and gold fell.

Your list of tokens is quite good and reliable. On the other hand, I don’t really believe in EOS. As far as I am concerned, my list of promising tokens includes: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Matic, Polkadot, Tron, BNB, DeFiPulse Index (DPI), which consists of the top DeFi tokens by market cap. And also due to hype around NFT-token, it is a good decision to have NFT Index (NFTI).

Re: Launchng an ICO
by

on 10/08/2021, 06:39:26 UTC
As I understand, you want to create your token as a means of payment, so you don’t need a lottery system. You can just mint them and then distribute them to those who want to buy your products.
As for the launch date, I don’t think that it is the right time now. There are too many shit coins everywhere, so you should wait for the crypto winter when this strange hype is over and many good projects start arising.

Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC?
by
illnino
on 10/08/2021, 06:32:15 UTC
If I'm honest, the traditional banking system is still very much needed here and of course it has more trust from the public, even though there are often problems with the bank.  BTC is still not very familiar, and only known by certain circles.
I personally for now still believe in traditional banks, because I still have money in the bank and of course I still really need it. BTC also gives me great hope, about security, convenience and most importantly I can make a profit.
Between traditional BANK and BTC, I haven't been able to leave either one, and I still have great faith in both.

Now we can’t use bitcoin as the means of payment, so we still need banks, you are right about this. At present, we use Bitcoin as a speculative asset, we invest in it, but we can’t use it as money.
What comes to banks, I hope that crypto will replace them one day. Banks are not honest places. There are people who work there. In term of blockchain, we trust not people, but technologies.

Re: Buy Low, Sell High
by
illnino
on 09/08/2021, 12:37:23 UTC
I think there are still a lot of people who are hesitant to buy bitcoin when the price is low because the price doesn't tend to go up for a short time so they prefer to buy it when the price is high and it has the possibility of price strengthening again in a relatively short time short, maybe we do this very often to process bitcoin buying and selling transactions on the global stock market
This seemingly calculated behavior is actually just a bad habit of many people because once the candle has started to burn, we can't tell how high or how long it will go out, especially when an uptrend starts, it can fake up then collapse, becoming high price investors maybe this trend will maintain in the short term but in fact, we have no definite measure. The option to buy at a time of decline that many people always hesitate to clearly become safer, they have no volatility and are falling while we know the project will return, if you can stop such a trend, why not join?

Riding with the current trend may bring you decent profits if you are lucky enough to quit before correction happened, there are situation
where market shows strong indication which really provide opportunities.

If you are willing and you have enough budget to allocate for this opportunities, so why not and hope for your luck to go behind you.
The only problem for me here is the budget, I wanted to grab the opportunity of buying to today because I believe that very soon the price of Bitcoin will rise in the next few days.buying in low price is good strategy and I think Bitcoin will not going to fall back below 40k$ so k think this will be a great opportunity to buy.

I fully understand you. I also have a small budget. With big capital you even do not necessarily have to learn and investigate the crypto market, just buy Bitcoin on lows and get big profit on bull runs. So now I am trying to build up my capital so that the crypto market can become my source of passive income. So I have to do reaserces of altcoins as they are more likely to give me big Xs.

Re: Bitcoin security in the long term
by
illnino
on 09/08/2021, 12:27:42 UTC
When Bitcoin gets to a stage where the mined supply is basically 21m (that is, very little remaining btc left to be mined), will Bitcoin still remain a secure network?
If you mean that miners will not be interested in providing us with security and network,I think that they will still be interested in it. To my mind, when Bitcoin reaches its max total supply, miners will get just our commissions for running our transactions, but not new bitcoins as they do now. So there will still be people who want to be miners. To sum up, we shouldn’t be scared.
