In Decentralized Exchange, user can control their own fund. It is fast, effective and anonymous with no personal documents required to apply.
It has higher security because it will prevent hacking and downtime. However, its not for beginners because its not easy to use. And ICO investors treat it as dumping area of coins when it is first listed in a decentralized exchanges. (IDEX, EtherDelta, etc.) That is the reason why some ICO developers locked the tokens before listing in centralized exchange to prevent that from happening.

Centralized exchange means it is centralized. It's easy to use and accessible. (Binance, Coinbase, etc.) However, when you use centralized exchanges you always have a big risk for your funds because of hacking attacks. And a lot of people lost their cryptocurrencies and bitcoins due to this.

Which would you choose?

Being very patient with Crypto is the real key. Never buy at ATH (all time high) and the people in crypto will always say "Be patient".
FOMO is a real disaster and I've had it many times. It have been giving me a roller coaster ride. That's why supporting a real and strong project is very important. So even if the price drops, it wont be alarming because it's for long term.

You had a great support from the community and you amazingly reached $26 million dollars. Be very patient with Crypto. Fear of missing out is a real emotional tug. That's why you should go with solid coins projects that you personally like and researched about. I believe in the blockchain technology and how it will help the future.

$100 for Ripple is not impossible in the near future but it should also multiply the market cap by 100 so that will make it $30 trillion because the current market cap of Ripple is $33 billion. If it gets mass adoption, I'm certain it may reach to that price per Ripple.

You may want to check Dragon, Viewly, Thrive, Sphere, and AdMine. They're currently on my watch list because of the possibility of future mass adoption.

How do you do your own research if the coin is a good investment?

For me, I always look on the purpose of the project, the team behind it, what exchanges is it available on etc. And one of the important thing for me is the total supply of the coin.
I also research if the coin is Proof of Work (POW), Proof of Stake (POS), Pre-mined or other.

I'm the one who pursued my boyfriend to this wonderful cryptoworld. Marketing and editing stuffs are one of my passion. It's not on the gender though. It's the passion and hobby that will drive you to this.
These include people who are interested in visuals, graphics, tradings, techsavy, attentive to details, business minded, entreps, etc. Cryptoworld is for everyone.

An airdrop is a free distribution of tokens of cryptocurrencies. Many of it have conditions of participation like doing social media campaigns such as retweet, follow and shares, join telegram channel and with minimum bitcointalk rank can be requested. Instructions are usually indicated in the registration form.

There are 2 types of airdrop:
1. By registration:
- Just register on the site that offers airdrop and validate or confirm your email address. Tokens will be available on your created account where you can later send to your wallet or to an exchange.

2. Distribution on wallet:
This time the toke will be sent to your wallet directly.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN AIRDROP?
To participate, you basically need the following:

1. A wallet like MyEtherWallet which will allow you to receive ERC20 tokens or Ethereum based tokens.
2. Of course, bitcointalk account
3. Telegram account
4. An active Facebook and Twitter account.

Once your tokens received, just wait for the listing of that token in an exchange to be able to trade them or hodl it.
Don't forget to check and do research of the airdrop you are participating if it's legit or scam.


Beware of SCAM airdrop

Scams are common nowadays.
Airdrops are popular in cryptocommunity however, you must be beware of scam airdrop. Some airdrops are even asking donation before they give your token. Some even take personal data from you by posing that the ICO is giving an airdrop even though it is not. Beware of such things.

Yes, it's still worth to invest in some but always do the research if the project is growing and have a good market stability and potential.
