I think this is about right. People tend to be very gullible. Just think of all the people who look up when you tell them that a pencil is on the cealing.

I like blockchain.info as you can use it with as many computer/devices as you want and you are always 100% in control of your priv keys.

That is an awful lot of money to be speculating with. There is no guarantee that BTC will rise over the long run.

I am pretty sure this is FUD, however in the event it is not there is a very reasonable explanation for this. If you want to short any kind of security, you need to be able to borrow it first, if there is none of the security to borrow then you cannot short it. In other words if there is no BTC available to borrow then you cannot short it

I would argue it would be more effective if the person were to look it up himself instead of forcing him to hear about it when he probably has a line of people to "ring up"
