If I have one card in my comp and mining local to my wallet, I mining in a let's say an "pool"  because I point my miner to a server (my wallet). So ... what is a definition for SOLO MINING? Spreadcoin is in fact a solo mining coin (depends of what is understanding everyone from solo mining). Public pool is another thing and SPR is not suitable for it.

Have you ever mined any other coin at MPOS pool like nonce-pool ?
If yes, then you'll find pool mining spr works as well as  you mine other alt coins.

You can have this thread back.

I made my point.

I have better things to do than spend my time with a spreadcoin thread.

People will make their own decisions.

I would wish you luck with your endeavor.  But I don't.

I will keep posting this question until one of you paranoid delusional freak's answer.

If i have two farms in the same building and point them both to the same miner... I'm i a pool operator?
What if farmers all over the world can point their rigs to the same pool ? Is that a pool or not ? Grin

This is not allowed on nonce pool. Its a closed, trusted group of friends.

Go try to mine on noncepool.
So technically, you must admit that spr no-pool feature is untitled.

The pool only has a few members in it. Owned by who? I'm going to guess that everyone in the pool is owned by the same person.  (Because he can't steal from himself) Therefore the coin still remains deeply decentralized because pools like this could pop up everywhere! Meaning that only individual mining farms would be apart of the pool.  (By the way creating your own pool would be entirely realistic for someone who owned a bitcoin farm)

Doesn't matter.  The coin was marketed as solo only and pools exist.  Now that isn't the entire issue.  And it was an issue that could have been addressed and even overcome.  The issue is the campaign that was launched to deny the fact and attack those that brought the issue to light.  When you have the main people behind a coin denying the truth, lying, and using any means they can to suppress it then that tells you something about those people.  It's sleazy and I've seen it done by these same people before.  They'll get whatever btc they can out of the people that fall for their scheme and when they can't get anymore btc they move on.  The architect of this is well known and has done the same thing before with numerous coins.  Someone needs to stand up and call these guys out.  If that has to be me then so be it.  But I'll be damned if I'm going to just sit back and watch this crap go on without saying anything.  I don't care if it costs me financially.  I'll make that loss up by going to sleep at night knowing that I still have my integrity.

Also, a true solo only coin would make it much more difficult for these large farms to come in and rape the coin.

Spreadnodes, I think you've just got some serious beef with MyFarm, and you're using whatever you can to attack him. I don't know if he's this horrible person you say - but constantly bitching about the pool thing is simply being a pedantic cunt.

Spreadcoin has the whitepaper, detailing exactly how it deters pools. Obviously, it cannot stop independent machines from hashing to one daemon and splitting the profit - but it achieves what it meant to, that is, discouraging the infestation of pools on a large scale like other coins.

EDIT: I gotta say, though - MyFarm is just a little too eagerly invested in the coin, to me.
I trust the fact more than so-called whitepaper.

Now don't go proving that there are pools for spreadcoin.  They'll just call it fud.

Shall I borrow my pool account to anyone who is questioning the existence of pools ?
That seems not safe for me,for I share the same account/password at different pools.

screenshot of pool management console, please.

I don't see anything wrong they found 20 block form 1377 block generated in almost 24 hours what is the problem?

It doesn't matter how many blocks they found.  It says "no pools" in the ANN and pools do exist.  So the claims made are inaccurate.  That's what's wrong.  If you claim no pools then there should be no pools.

Just like they claimed there was no optimized miner and there is an optimized miner.

How can you trust anything from the people behind spreadcoin when they have already been caught in more than one lie?
Because it's a private pool with very limited pool hashrate, block finding interval would be a little longer.
But it does prove that POOL WORKS AS WELL AS ANY OTHER POOL-MINING COIN.

A big thank you, and a bounty of 0.2BTC + 200,000 MUE are now due to upgradeadvice
for completing the Windows wallet compile.

I can't wait to download and test myself later today, and will make the download link available through all the usual channels.

cinnamon_carter kindly completed a compile to for us, but as it was a dynamic file, it required dlls - but a big thank you none the less, and seems only fair the bounty is also available to you too.
Could I send 100,000 MUE each time with the new wallet ?

New movie: The TAC job(s)  Grin

Just went through the excell spreadsheet of the famous dev fee address

here what I have found, between the 29th of May and 2nd of June, all block generated were generated with a dev fee of 15.46tac.

15121 blocks were generated on that period, giving an amount of ~2337706tac

This amount were removed from that address the 3rd of june

Same story between the 27th of june and 1st of july with a 3tac dev fee:

15119 blocks generated for an amount of 45357tac (less impressive sure but still a robbery) removed from this address 4th of July (for the holyday ?  Grin)

So in total it is 279127.6tac from which I remove the standard 0.5tac/block fee we get 264007.66tac which were stolen from the community by greedy dev.

Actually dev should have get only 15k tac  instead of that 279k tac...

I don't remember what was the price on the exchange at that time but it was a lot more than it is  Grin

Nice! I am still working on getting us listed with other pools. Might be easier if we set up some bounties to get things done. Any suggestions off the bat? I am thinking alternative language threads, mobile apps, pools, exchanges, tipper bots, web shops, gambling, etc. I'd be happy to down 100k DCN for bounties.

Edit: Just a more organized list with proposed rewards. Thoughts?

BOUNTIES

  • Promotional Art / Graphics - 500 each - 10 Available
  • Alternative Language OPs - 500 DCN each - 20 Available
  • Articles Regarding DEEPCoin on Websites w/ Minimum of 100 Unique Visitors Per Day - 1000 DCN each - 10 Available
  • Mining Pools - 2000 DCN each - 5 Available
  • Mobile Wallet Apps (iOS, Android, Windows Phone) - 5000 DCN each - 3 Available
  • Tipper Bots (Reddit, Twitter, Youtube, Google+) - 5000 DCN each - 4 Available
  • Web Shops - 5000 DCN each - 2 Available
  • Gambling (Dice, Craps, Poker) - 5000 DCN each - 3 Available
  • Exchanges - 7500 DCN each - 2 Available

That's 110,000 DCN total for the above. Not too bad. Of course, THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL. Just throwing it out there for discussion. Smiley

So, has anybody given more thought to the bounties? I know we have one pool being built now. If everyone agrees, we should get this posted in the OP and really start pushing for additional exposure!

I'll donate once we get this list added to OP.

Great to see this news, sincerely wish DCN have a brighter future.
