Re: Shopping using crypto?

That scenario is now not very far away for me. I have been doing digital payments on the supermarket that you don't pay any fiat and I just scan the qr code to pay for it. No extra time to count for your payment and your change which can be very time consuming sometimes. I hope people would embrace this new system because I'm more than ready to do it compare to others.

Re: Is BNB the Next Bitcoin?
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 28/04/2019, 00:09:39 UTC
While the whole market of cryptocurrency has had a solid 2019, one coin specifically has triggered up to 300 percent gains since the beginning of the year. Binance Coin (BNB), the official currency of to the world's top ranked crypto exchange by volume, has outpaced both Bitcoin and the market with its huge increases in the course of the most recent month. Given how Binance Coin has, to some degree, taken over the market surge, Is BNB the new Bitcoin?

Are you serious, bro? Bnb has just got lucky because it is dominating the exchange competition. And bnb is just there for the perks of less fees for your trades in Binance. Bitcoin is still the king and binance is still just a shitcoin to me and its popularity is the only thing that makes its special.

Binance is always the priority then next could be huobi, okex or any exchange that has a large community of Chinese traders in it. You could also list in Upbit for Korean exchange and we all know that Korean are so hungry with those digital assets and they like to buy more. There are a lot but the ones I mentioned are the best.

Re: Bitfinex Used Tether Reserves to Mask Missing $850 Million

https://www.wsj.com/articles/bitfinex-used-tether-reserves-to-mask-missing-850-million-probe-finds-11556227031

A cryptocurrency exchange that claims real dollars back its popular digital coin Tether raided those reserves to cover up $850 million that went missing, the New York Attorney General’s office said Thursday.

State Attorney General Letitia James said Hong Kong-based iFinex Inc., which operates the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange and owns Tether Ltd., has been commingling client and corporate funds to cover up the missing funds, which occurred in mid-2018 and hadn’t been disclosed publicly.

...

Fuck. When everything seemed to be getting better. Tether is always a ghost under the bed...

Haha! So that is why btc and eth go plunging down. You are right that this a good timing for those bastards and I'm sure bankers are behind it. Who know if they already have known these for a while and just waiting for the perfect timing to release this huge FUD which is when btc is on the start of its bull run.

Mostly on Binance. Some of them that I cannot find, I see them on exchanges latoken and cointiger. I trades new coins so I don't usually see them getting listed in older exchanges like bittrex so I have to create new accounts again and again to trader new altcoins.

Re: Is ICO regulation good or bad?
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 25/04/2019, 01:08:57 UTC
It has always a good decision for me. I know that it highly affects the money raised in an ICO but when we think about it, most of that money are invested into scams. It hurts me most that the new investors are going to experience the worse that they will leave crypto for good. We need to accept or more people will loss and suffer if we wish to remove it.

Re: If the society rejected to use crypto currencies?
by

I know few countries will but I think 60%-80% of the society will not reject the idea of using crypto. Remember that people are also skeptic about the smartphone, cars and even the internet. Everything was  slow and always a small step but look where we are now and that is now happenning to cryptocurrency. We can wake up the next the btc is already a world bank reserve.

Re: Binance is Becoming a Crypto Monopoly
by

I also noticed that Binance is becoming very powerful and influential but we should not treat as a negative thing. We should be glad that that their IEO is a success because they have revived the dying ICOs which we expected not to do well anymore. I think CZ is not a bad guy and it is not his intention to dictate what coin will succeed. It is just that they have so much reputation in this market.

Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon?

Urgent need of cash or thinking it would deep dive once more. All of us has limits for sure and I have given a time for the market to recover and it was after year before I finally said to myself that it is time to sell. If only it did recover in any of those months or even before the end of the year then I would not have sell.

Re: Solution for crypto currency investors
by

on 24/04/2019, 01:32:40 UTC
Not every crypto investors will win on their investments even we excluded scam on this scenario. Even a project that can showcase a good features, top notch qualities and etc, there is always a competition. Sometimes, the marketing can pass the best one so it's very hard to make a solution to make your investments succeed.

Re: Are you ready to invest now?

Seeing market slowly recover then it is a good sign that there could be next ATH. So, while crypto is cheap.now, Do you think that it is better to invest now? How ready are you to do it. Are you going to invest all at once or make a succeesion of investment over a period of time.

Please let me know your plans and strategy and how you think you can earn from the market.

Maybe I will just invest to make short term trades. I don't really believe that there is a good sign of all time high that is going to happen this year. If I remember right, the cause of price increase is just because a whale decide to buy large chunk of btc. If only it was driven by a huge news then I will hold instead.

Re: EtherDelta vs ForkDelta
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 23/04/2019, 04:50:14 UTC
Etherdelta exchange compromise last year caused the lost of confidence of traders, so they seek alternative in folkdelta.Folkdelta came around that time also, it wasnt difficult as option. Now there are more decentralized exchanges that service better.
Soon these two exchanges will be dominated by Binance DEX once it's launch, the confidence of the people is high if we talk about Binance.
These two exchanges are the most popular now, I used both but lately I'm using ForkDelta if I try to buy some cheap tokens.
There is nothing to improve in the interface as simple is better, but the security has to be improve.

They are both trash and they will be forgotten once Binance Dex has started. When I was a new user in EtherDelta, I was very confused on everything like it's interface is for professional IT staff only to understand. It was slow also and you just keep refreshing whether your order is set or not. I am certain that the Binance DEX will never have those issues.

Re: Knowing when to sell off your crypto investment
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 23/04/2019, 04:42:19 UTC
If you are an ICO investor and you see that your investments goes 2-4 times up in exchanges that it is time to sell. When you are a trader, when your asset goes 30% and above in a span of one day then it's always time to sell. The portion of it that you want to sell is solely up to you.

Re: Investment reality
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 23/04/2019, 04:38:27 UTC
80 % of people got involved in crypto from September-December and afterwards, they lost interest to invest watching their investments going down. Companies, corporations and politicians , let's say they filled their bags. And only after all of that we will see some positive regulation

But I firmly stand on my point that the only way for crypto to have a long life is the adoption and not just price speculation. And this will come from all of us. Start in little but whenever you got the chance to pay smth with cryptocurrency, just do it. Let's give real world value to the coins we hold.

Your right but when we are still in the speculation period or years of cryptocurrency, it's the best to make huge chunk of profits. Price swing goes up and down and it you have to follow that in order to win some. Because when adoption commence, I'm sure a much more strict regulation will make it not move so much.

Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 22/04/2019, 13:39:47 UTC
Now that most of the people are well aware of scam ICOs, scammer has found another way to scam people. I have observed 3 projects till now which I will list here and give you a highlights how they scam people, specially the newbie.

1. Privcy
Privacy was a free airdropped coin which was distributed freely over the community for helping promoting the project. Later, they decide to reward more to the holder of the coin in airdrops. The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get. Newbies started to buy coins for getting more airdrop coin and DEV were selling their coin. I am sure they had a lot of fake accounts participating in the Airdrop. Can you believe they scammed people in such a way? Now, the project is died, 24 hour volume is- $620 which was less than $100 couple of weeks ago.

2. Profish
Profish was an ICO which came into the exchange before the bounty end. They were listed in mercatox and used to have some fake volumes. I don't know what happened to their ICO but they sold a lot of coins through mercatox and later, the price is now 1 or 2 satoshi from 650 satoshi. This is also a dead project. They scammed people.

3. Helios Protocol- Be aware
Helios Protocol is now airdropping coin to their community. This attract my eyes when I see user vectisitch was vouching the project. He was a moderator in privcy, so, there's no doubt that both of the project are from same person and this helios shit is also going to scam money. I want to alert you guys not to invest in this scam project.
Here is the vouching comment- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118682.msg50087444#msg50087444

These are only few from the thousands of scamcoin or shitcoin that existed to stole money and believe it or not, some of them are still  listed and traded on exchanges. The most famous right now is Tron which is extremely hyped and those poor people thinking that it's a legit project just like how many people before perceived bitconnect.

Re: Cryptocurrency investment
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 05/04/2019, 13:44:45 UTC
I used to get worked up over a loss in cryptocurrency not until I realized that these losses can be mitigated using the right investment strategy.
Investing and holding a coin is not the issue here, the issue is knowing when to sell.
The most successful investors are those who know when exactly to sell.
And to do that, one need doses of patience so as not to fomo and sell at loss.
The difference between the rich and the poor is simply the ability to know the right time to sell.

I relate on this so much and I really promised to myself after that huge mistake that it will never happen again. I was so greedy that I even ambitioned that if I still hold a bit much longer, I can buy a yatch that I never dreamt of having not until I experienced that ecstacy of the 2017 bullrun. I should have use my head and be rational instead of getting stuck into my own dream.

Re: What will happen to ICO if.......
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 05/04/2019, 13:35:48 UTC
I'm wondering what will happen to ICO if bitcoin goes back to 1000$ plus per one to find its bottom? Will ICO start dying off ? Cos presently ICO is already suffering from market condition and I'm wondering what ICO fate would be it bitcoin falls further ,any thoughts???

It's a total disaster for those ICO projects and the percentage of them that will succeed on raising their softcap would surely go down to 5% or below. Or most of them will postpone their ICOs and then wait again for the market comeback. I don't believe that ICO will die because of that because those developers are very determined to enter the blockchain industry so they'll just definitely wait for a perfect time if that happens.

Re: Wallet hacking is it possible?
by

on 05/04/2019, 13:17:52 UTC
Wallets can be hacked in any number of ways, from phishing (fake websites), keyloggers on computers, to malware. I thus recommend that users consider a hardware wallet for security.

True. Hacking is only possible if we are not equipped with enough knowledge to keep our assets from getting stolen. Or everyone should have a seperate pc for their leisure time for surfing social media sites or watching videos and the other pc is for making transactions in banks and cryptocurrencies.

Re: What would you do to recover your losses?
by
imsotiredofmoviereboots
on 04/04/2019, 13:09:13 UTC
You have a long list of altcoin portfolio that have tanked down by 90% since you participated in the ICO.  What was $5000 is now worth $500.  You are at a loss of $4000 and there happen to be an upcoming token sale that is pretty hyped.

You are in desperate need to recover your losses and you plan to invest in that hyped token sale in hope that you can earn 5-10x.  Would you:

1. Pump fresh fiat out of your pocket into the token sale or
2. Trade off the the altcoins you have for BTC/ETH and invest into that hyped token sale.

Share your thoughts.

Don't every try chasing your losses as in never do that and only take away the learnings from your mistake. Because if you do, then your emotion will drive you much more aggressive in trading. If I'm in your position, I will a fresh  start and then take it slowly to ensure my gains instead of losing much more.

True, bitcoin or the whole cryptocurrencies can be trapped in a deep coma for years but it will never ever die. And now it has been proven again in this time. BTC reaching $5k again just clearly a message to those haters that it is unkillable and it just adds much allies the longer it stays.
