I have gut feeling OP use chatbot to generate this thread. Anyway, i think bringing multiple religious/spiritual doctrines into discussion about Bitcoin development wouldn't end up well due to various reasons.

I think that if you’re in Bitcoin, you actually promote freedom technology.

There goes a lot into Bitcoin philosophically. This combined with, mythological, theological and spiritual views from all core maintainers and contributors involved in the choices made for Bitcoin’s trajectory.

It is actually very eye-opening when it is openly discussed.

And no.

I’m not a chatbot hahaha. Just here to help out ethically.

I've followed some discussion among Bitcoin developer and contributor, but i never see anyone bring religion or spiritual doctrines. At most, i only remember certain pool put religious quote on block header/coinbase TX which happened long time ago where it's already resolved.

I know that there are some Roman Catholics part of Bitcoin core.

I tried to speak with LukeDash Jr. about his current mindset regarding morals and values and his Roman Catholic background but was met with a block on twitter.

Maybe because I also asked him about an old quote that I found that was pretty suspect in regards to racist and sinful ways. A quote that could suggest Luke still has issues with racist or sinful behaviour patterns.

Was just curious.

Openness about these behavioural patterns could help a lot of development teams. But I think for Bitcoin it could make a real difference.

In my opinion, this is not a very mature way out of the situation, a block instead of a dialogue

Agreed.

At the same time,

Luke and other core devs are definitely not obligated to answer any questions regarding their (religious) world view or behavioural patterns they ‘could’ struggle with right.

It is a very personal thing for most people.

But core contributors and maintainers speaking about it openly would help the community hugely to understand the ethical vision and thought processes of those involved with Bitcoin’s governance and development upgrades.

I think you gonna need help right now because at this point all that you mentioned above is far from being technical help which is the only help that is regarded here in the Bitcoin ecosystem, I see you mentioned spiritual in your writing, really are you being sarcastic right now, what have spiritual gat to do with bitcoin right here.

Just like I advised you above, you need to unlearn all the crabs you filled your head with and make attempts to get the right information and knowledge about Bitcoin and its technicalities.

Technically, the current mechanism for changing bitcoin hinges on what Core developers will merge.. unintentionally but a known truth among developers that worked or work on Bitcoin core.

For the technical proposals that are currently on the table like scaling UTXO ownership and new self custody capabilities I actually don’t have much to comment.

Yeah, I guess hard to comprehend for you that humans actually also use their religious or spiritual within development. Yet avoiding unethical practices helps out a lot in the longterm.

Hi there brothers and sisters,

I just started this new topic on the Bitcoin talk forum to open up the discussion of Bitcoin’s development from a ethical point of view.

Any questions, theories, research or just anything related to improving the ethical development of Bitcoin is much appreciated in this newly opened topic.

I believe that the future of Bitcoin existince is based on its intrinsic values. Many of these values are being jeopardised by greed, power and controle.

If the OG Bitcoin community and Bitcoin core developers fail to execute.. it could mean the end of what Bitcoin was intended to become by Satoshi and members of the cypherpunk manifesto.

I also like to note that in this topic you are freely to speak about religious doctrines, philosophical doctrines, spiritual doctrines, atheistsic doctrines etc.

Your opinion is valued regardless of your religious or non religious views, ethnicity or color of skin, gender or gender preference and social class.

Hope all is well and let’s start this journey together.

Where did you get this crab mentality about bitcoin development and bitcoin developers from?

You got it Al wrong and just to set the record straight, butcoiyis doing pretty well and everything about bitcoin is being run according to the core satoshi mindset towards bitcoin development and it involvements.

Satoshi said, allow bitcoin to develop naturally and without interference.

And from all you pointed out, there are no sound technicalities about how Bitcoin can advance above what ut is tight now.

Hey Wiwo,

Not sure what you are referring to with ‘crab mentality’ about Bitcoin development and developers.

I think there is room for a lot of improvement for Bitcoin and its development from a governance point of view. And I think there is a lot of room for improvement for Bitcoin from a usecase point of view.

When the narrative of Bitcoin shifted in 2014 from the usecase of p2p cash into ‘digital gold’ the dynamic of what Bitcoin can possibly mean for the world shifted.

Satoshi named Bitcoin a Peer-To-Peer Electronic System and not ‘digital gold’ with a careful reason. When mankind believes and treats Bitcoin as a vehicle of investment it creates the possibility for humans to promote inequality.

A Peer-To-Peer Electronic System instead creates the opportunity for humans to use Bitcoin as a medium of exchange or economic opportunity.

Power dynamics are less involved with the latter goal.

The paradigm shift that took place this year in Bitcoin’s adoption from a global governmental and tradefi markets point of view showcases the importance of Satoshi’a message embedded in the genesis block:

“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”

A message referring to the headline of the London newspaper, The Times, on the noted date.
The U.K. government was bailing out the banks for the second time during that period.

Satoshi’s message should remind us all how important it is to govern Bitcoin in such a way that Bitcoin’s usecase is separated from any power dynamics within government and state. A significant change is happening as we speak.

Thusfar my response for usecase and trajectory of Bitcoin.

My second response is regarding the governance point of view:

It is widely known that various contributors and maintainers of Bitcoin core have their personal world views from a religious, spiritual and ethical standpoint. If the OG and the new contributors and mainters of Bitcoin truly want Bitcoin to become adopted on a continuous global scale it is important that those involved with its governance are aligned to make it work for all of humankind.

It takes hard work to get people aligned for such a manifestation. A team of humanbeings working together for the all of the humanrace is a team healed of all the indoctrinations of hate.

A team of peace.

Let me know if you have any questions?

‘Bitcoin could have helped so many more people’ is a true statement but we should change that statement to ‘can’.

While global media channels are feeding Bitcoin’s price change to the masses it has zero correlation with its intended usecase.

Trump winning the elections and bringing Bitcoin to the masses or even creating a framework to buy 200.000 Bitcoin annually for the US reserves will directly hinder the future of Bitcoin becoming a decentralized monetary alternative for the fiat system.

Bitcoin is not intended to achieve power and controle for any organisation or group. It is intended as a public good.

Let’s not forget what Satoshi embedded in the genesis block: “The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks.”. A reference refers to the headline of the London newspaper, The Times, on the noted date. It was a way for Satoshi to warn us of the corruption of the current banking systems in place.

Hope the cypherpunks and OG hodlers will speak out more about what is actually happening right now with the trajectory of Bitcoin as it became a tool this year for populists to gain controle and power by greedy intentions.
