we're on the home straight of our ICO now - it's been a great experience, and we can't wait to share more amazing news as the product and market fit get out there into the wild.... it's going to be hugely exciting times!

yup, we made the waves team aware a few days ago - it's likely either an API key, or WAF (firewall) issue which is blocking requests relating to users' waves addresses via the API. We're also in the process of setting up our own full node, which will bring the troubleshooting and fixing of issues like this in house, but until such time as it's live, we're happy that the waves team are looking into it. Best spot for updates and further info is our friendly slack, although I do try and keep abreast of this thread at all times too

the 'good news' slider has had an upgrade per feedback that we got from quite a lot of people - the request was for a 'decimal point' slider too, so you can now check conservative options such as 'what if Incent can get 0.2% of the market' - the good news is that it's still good news......

We've also had quite a bit of contact in regard to the platform itself, and potential re-use - there's now a button for interested parties in the ico dash

Over 15million Incent have currently been purchased, by 541 investors to date - this kind of info. will be public to all registered users from here on under the 'My Profile / Stats' section - it's part of good, honest, open information which we see as a core value of Incent

some info on our servers, traffic and ddos over the last 24 or so;

if you’ve been accessing the site regularly, you’ll have noticed slower performance over the last 24hours - for the sysadmin inclined, we were seeing heaps of apache processes maxing out the server memory. We’ve taken two steps to keep the site running smoothly, both generally good ideas in the event of a sluggish server;

1. we’ve resized the server to provide more power (memory and cpu, and disk space which we don’t need!) - and incidentally as part of this process we decided to shift from rackspace to digital ocean - lots of small reasons added up to this bigger decision

2. We use ‘Cloudflare’ as a tool, and we upped the security settings to deflect the ddos - if you’ve been ‘browser checked’ on the way to your dashboard, that’s the good people of cloudflare suspecting you’re a nasty…. suspicious folks those cloudflarians, but it helps keep the server running smoothly :slightly_smiling_face:

just a little heads up to let you know that I'm in the process of writing a blog post sharing some stat.s from the site and from the first 10days of the ICO - we're really proud and happy with the way everything has gone generally. We've had a few speed bumps and issues that we've worked to resolve as quickly as possible - the last one being the annoying discrepancy in totals displayed on the homepage, and within the dashboard - for the interested, this was due to some front end number formatting happening in the wrong place - now fixed up.

I've been chatting on Slack about how openess is one of Incent's core values, and look forward to giving everyone a look at the stat.s and data I've been looking at - it's a big part of why I personally am getting even more excited about Incent.... I'll update here when the blog is live

Just a quick update after some bitcoin blockchain display issues overnight, now patched... looking forward to some new dashboard updates today, and looking forward to pushing the word out ahead of the imminent price rise!

We've integrated a 'Shapeshift' button to facilitate loads of alt-coin participation. Both ETH and LSK are supported

I like the fact that it's  'crowdale' launching.... actually sounds better than a crowd sale

Had a good chat this morning with someone asking about specifics of our plans re. merchant integration / dev etc. - here's the Slack thread for those who can't / don't want to join.....

I’m the lead dev on incent - here’s some more info. re POS / merchant integration;

we don’t have any publicly available git repos re. POS integration at this time - we’re not going to release our API info until the waves integration is complete (in part because until that time, and until Incent is issued, neither app could actually do anything!)

two things will happen post ICO in terms of integration dev.;

1) our own dev. will be focused on customer 1. (maybe 2 & 3 as well, depending on resource) - we want to get to the market in Q1 2017, and to that end we’ll develop the required tools for the ‘first cab off the rank’ - at this point this may involve a POS integration, but could be a (simpler) ecommerce integration - too many variables at this point to be accurate in prediction

2) A second priority for us is ‘high value’ plugins - not confirmed exactly who’s made this list, but likely Shopify and Magento - we will develop our own software in this regard to empower our bis. dev. people to find ‘good fit’ clients (possibly customers 5 through 50 - that sort of thing) - shopify and magento plugin dev. is well known to us - the former being considerably simpler than the later, but generally magento having better penetration in tier 1 / tier 2 ecommerce

3) when complete, our API will be released allowing third party developers to begin work on their own plugins of choice - possible POS, Woo Commerce, big commerce, eBay - etc. etc. - we imagine devoting resource to curating, encouraging and helping this effort, which is more of a ‘bottom of the pyramid’ to really grow volume. Many of these efforts will fail, but we would hope to facilitate some arms-length success in this way - there’s potential for a large ‘service’ aspect to using our product which we don’t really want to ‘protect’ in any way - we’d prefer others to help grow the value and share the pie….

So for lots of reasons, we're excited to have taken a 'nosql' approach to our application - we're not using a traditional database system (like mysql for example) at all, and all the data is stored simply as JSON objects within 'Firebase' - now 'Google's Firebase' - one of the key reasons for taking this approach is to get significant speed and scale ability without stress / or sysadmin work. Algolia ( https://www.algolia.com/ ) is a fantastic piece of tech. which plays very nicely / natively with Firebase / JSON data structures, to facilitate the sort of user search / discovery experiences which used to cost a huge amount to build / craft (and take ages).

the tl;dr version is that we love algolia, and it does amazing things....

We're setting up investing with Waves tokens right now - It'll be there in place for the official launch of the ICO on 1st Oct - now just a few days away!

We have a Shifty button installed to accept many / most major crypto currencies too....

This is a massive reason we're excited about this project - getting crypto far more widely used - even by the unknowing!
