Like the person above said, you can buy them on an exchange. Also, when they put them on the exchange it killed the value of the coin. You only need like 3 for membership so its a waste to buy a lot of them. I bought when this was the talk of the cryptoworld but I feel like I was scammed. Proceed with caution until they actual produce a product or service. They have enough money to start lending money now, I think they have legal issues to work through so they are stalling. If they come through on their promises, I will be their biggest supporter. Until then I am just a guy sitting on a stack of SALT. Blah
I don't think you quite understand what you bought. For the lowest level sure, but for higher levels you need more. Secondly, there is more utility to the token than membership. You can use them to pay down the interest rates apparently. I don't know the details, but if this is anything like mortgage interest points, where you can pay cash up front to lower your interest rate, at a fixed $25 redemption value (even if you only paid current market rate of around $4 or less) that token has a lot of utility, particularly if you can get it at a discount rate, which we apparently can do right now.
In other words - if people can pay down interest rates at $25 per token, and we can buy them at a significant discount now, think about that for a minute...
Maybe I've got it wrong, but this seems like a big opportunity assuming the project launches as planned next month.

I'm fairly new to crypto but I've heard a lot about Komodo and I'm impressed by what I'm finding. Next buy to HODL will be KMD!
Komodo really is a long term crypto with a lot of benefits . Upcoming ICOs will put premium tag on Komodo token. Hodlers will definitely benefit from early adoption. Keep on collecting.
But there's no normal wallets.

I do agree, this price is a good entry point, 45-50, its quite a strong foundation considering whats pent up behind the scenes. Funny, the modesty of the Komodo team and their accomplishments just goes over most peoples heads. When the marketing machine starts, a lot of people gunna be left wondering why they hadnt heard of KMD sooner. The noise of life, hard to see through it all.

in many of jl777 projects as an investor over the last 3yrs........the song remains the same, invest in this great idea, before that project is complete there is another project.

In fact, I'm surprised they allowed ICOs to go on as long as they did. Perhaps, with time and education, they will come up with reasonable regulation and allow them to continue but, don't bet on it, it was really pushing luck. There will be others so, don't be surprised when your country, or mine, enacts laws to control ICOs as well. Remember, thats not the core use for crypto but, it could easily become the core abuse.
I don't see what all the fuss is about. Sure for people who think crypto is just some gee-wiz hot new tech and don't understand the corruption of fiat currency, this regulation makes sense to them. For people that believe in decentralization and subsequently projects like this, how exactly does this regulation apply? Sure, it makes it less convenient for people trying to raise funds, but how exactly do they regulate people from starting new coins and... offering them to the public? If you're going to run a company under the strata of existing legislation, sure this type of thing affects you. Otherwise, sounds like theres not much they can do to differentiate this from established coins.
Well, lets face reality shall we? First off, an online company that is planning an ICO in China, or any other restrictive country, and it's principles and workers, must be totally anonymous with no way to connect them to the real world or the government will be able to control you and penalize you if they see fit. ICOs are a bit different than just trading coins, they expose real world players in most cases. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for decentralized business and money but, the oppressive governments of the world are not and they will find a way to stop what they can.
Allowing crypro currency to exist is different from allowing decentralized companies that have to interact with the brick and mortar world. There's not much that can be done to stop Bitcoin and others at the moment but, there are ways to stop ICOs especially if jail time is the result of investing or starting one. Remember, not all world governments believe you have the right to anything they haven't sanctioned. But then, there's always Tor, for now...
Agreed they aren't exactly the same. But you loose me when you imply there's a fundamental difference between an end user holding a generic crypto coin (that may or may not represent investment capital for a brick and mortar company) and one that's deemed an ICO token. I don't think government abuse is restrained by legislation, so all options are on the table. Sure, I'd prefer they didn't legislate their corruption into explicit law, but I certainly have never assumed they'd sit back and let their system unravel just because of pesky laws. I ultimately forsee absolute prohibition unless people come to understand the corrupt nature of the fiat system. They may not be able to stop the technologies, but they can certainly make most people very weary of going anywhere near the technology for fear of prosecution.

Komodo is shapeing up to be the next neo in terms of roi. Still very cheap.
Yea I figured kmd would easily hit $5 one of these days, but getting their sooner than later it seems. I guess the $20 isn't so far off now. Once BarterDex GUI matures, with jumbler gets a simple GUI, it's going to be hard to deny that this is one of the most ambitious and proven technologies in cryptoland.

Ok, things have definitely gone bonkers in Cryptoland, folks! A simple re-test of the ATH in BTC terms means that KMD will be trading @ $5!!!
$5 is nice, but $20 is where dreams come true.

And what's your "base" for $5, $20, $100 valuation since your comments have solid supporting facts?
The OP's comments were specifically referencing the KMD all time high value - his point being that when it returns to that level, which isn't a big stretch, that would put its relative valuation to BTC at around $5.
My post about $20 was just having some fun, based on nothing... and the subsequent $100 was probably the same.
As far as this being a shit project, uhh right. I've held since early BTCD days, I've seen some serious stuff happening since then, this project is in many ways unprecedented. I'm sorry you don't see t that way. Cash out on the next rise, there's plenty for everyone.

BarterDEX is gonna be great and it has fast transaction based on what I have seen in the video . Major crypto assets should very well be listed on this . The only problem I see is that do we have to download all the blockchains involve in the swap for the daemon to execute the swap?
The BarterDEX is a native atomic swap exchange. Therefore it needs a full blockchain. You can sync in -prune mode to save space. It is a possiblity that as the platform matures we will come up with trusted setups for lite clients but for now it's all native. It is confirmation based too. That means that the time for completing an exchange will vary from coin to coin. James has worked very hard to making the BarterDEX and we can only expect it to get better and more efficient as we move forward.
I didn't know about prune mode until recently. If that's an option it should be quite manageable.
