What's up, everyone? I'm back from my crypto hiatus. Aside from this thread, where does the Blocknet project hang out these days? I lost my login info from the old Slack group I used to manage.

Hi everyone, I took a lengthy hiatus from crypto as you can see. It seems as if five or six months ago some people tried to revive the blockchain, I'm not sure if it's still going or not. That's about the best I can provide as far as an update goes. I'd be happy to hand over everything I have left over from what I got from the original developer to anyone who wants to take over and attempt a revival.

The counter on the website and the address from which it gets its balance hasn't been updated since I started watching it last night. I registered on the website today and sent BTC to my deposit address and it hasn't been attributed to the balance shown in the counter yet. The current total could be much higher at this time for all we know.

hi , has it confirmed at the address that you sent the coins to

Yes, I am not saying that there is a problem, just that the counter is not displaying the current amount raised because of the way that the BTC is coming in and being swept to the main address tied to the counter. I figured I'd point that out in light of the talks about being short of 1000 BTC right now.

Same here - web wallet functions well to send/receive HZ, but does not display total balance or asset values on the Dashboard. Firefox 42.0 and OSX 10.10.5.

I've had the same issue from time to time with some of NXT's web wallets if that helps at all.

getting more people involved and using the platform will need the price to go up alot

Not necessarily. There are a lot of use cases where the price of HZ doesn't matter, and even some where a low price is favorable.

Liquidity is the major factor, more so than price. I would think that most use cases of HZ would require being able to exchange back and forth between other currencies/tokens with ease and minimal slippage.

My withdraw from Cryptsy is still "on hold" or something ....

It's FUCKING 14 days now since i put the ticket that NOONE wants to answer. I reopened several other tickets only to be closed saying that i already have a ticket open, which noone answers though.

If someone can help please so. This is truely unheard off to be ignored like this by an exchange. Ticket number is #206343

You'd better get comfortable waiting.

I waited 8 months for Cryptsy to sort out two withdrawal mishaps that happened in December 2014. I pestered support every week throughout that 8 month period and technically they still haven't fixed the issues with their system that caused the withdrawal mishaps. Mullick ended up paying me my losses out of his own pocket, which was a kind and much appreciated gesture, but ultimately Cryptsy needs to fix their janky system because obviously it's still shafting people like you.

God help MTR if Bittrex delists it and its only listing is on Cryptsy. I'll never EVER trade there again.

How listing in a catalog containing more than 100 other Ethereum apps proves that Ethereum devs are on-board with Blocknet?

Edit: Looks like it's language nuances. "Ethereum devs" = "devs who use Ethereum", not "devs who created Ethereum".

What are you doing here passively-aggressively insulting another project?

Don't you have some coding to be doing?

Holy shit, I just hopped on BCT for the first time in awhile and I am now 10x dumber for having read through the last dozen pages of this thread and the back and forth banter between mastertrader777 and 8 bit party.

To both of you, stop wasting your time and my time and others' time, please, and quit feeding each other. It's quite pathetic.

If I have to read through another dozen pages of bullshit next time I want to get up to speed on MTR and ToshiDesk, it will be my last visit.

8 bit party is just a pathetic troll with nothing to complain about but the MTR/BTC price. If you ignore the bastard, he WILL go away.

Even the most diehard trolls whither away eventually when they don't get a reaction.

Maybe use the ignore feature? I surely will be.

mastertrader777, you're doing great work. I hope next time I visit the thread I can find the updates without having to sort through pages of you interacting with the scum of BCT.

I get nonce errors on occasion using zTrader for Android as well, so it seems the issue may not be unique to QTL trader.

I'll add to the tally of folks for whom the software works just fine (aside from the intermittent lags with the Cryptsy API).

If anyone can find a developer to take over, please let me know. I will be happy to hand over the GitHub and everything else I have for EventToken.

I did find a developer willing to build an EventHub prototype, but he did not want to 'take over' this project - meaning he just wanted to build EventHub and then walk away.

I was not willing to go that route. That route would have likely ended with a pump on the EventHub news, and then a dump while we would have been scratching our heads wondering what to do next without a dedicated developer to see this project through.

Blockchain-based ticketing solutions is an extremely viable idea, but it needs competent developers to stick around and continue to develop the tech all the way through to implementation and beyond.

cryptsy dont work for me. I can load my account but order book dont load. It takes forever to load my account.

There needs to be some documentations about the bot. Its not fun to lose bitcoins just because it lacks info.
An example of the bot in use and why the settings. It would not take many minutes but it would save bitcoins.

Search YouTube for videos on how to use Quatloo Trader. There are some decent videos that explain its functionality.

I'd love Cryptsy if they were competent enough to return my coins that got lost in their very subpar system back in December 2014. But they stopped responding to support tickets weeks ago. They provide a horrible service. Are you pushing for MTR to get listed there? If so, why? Why not Poloniex? I'd advise spending that time and effort on something more worthwhile.

The app doesn't report the same Bittrex 'cost/proceeds' value of trades that Bittrex reports on their GUI on the website.

Also, feature request for future versions, an option to set arb such that it accumulates the alt being arbed instead of BTC.

Every politician has dirty laundry.

No matter which politician may have chosen to apply blockchain tech in this way there would surely be someone saying the politician is corrupt in some fashion.

It's a good sign that the tech is finding its way into politics. Let's not focus on how or through who it is finding its way there. Ultimately the result of this tech being applied to government will be less corruption and more accountability.

Bittrex: This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on June 19th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

Yes, I see that. I've presumably been singlehandedly creating enough volume to keep EVENT listed for months now.

It costs about .007/week to create the required volume to remain listed.

It's not much, but if one person (me) does it every week, it does add up over time. So it'd be great if I could have some help.

There are more than enough coins on Bittrex to generate the required volume. All you have to do is just set up a sell order and buy it.

I have 2 connections at the moment. Did you use the nodes from the OP in your .conf file?

If you want to think of EVENT as dead, that is your prerogative. But I'm still here, have been trying to keep us listed, am looking for devs interested in this concept, and also thinking of alternative uses for this chain.

I've been very upfront from the moment I took over that I'm not a dev and have no ability to do anything with this chain myself. We seem to have a very patient group of holders here, and I appreciate that, but it's up to all of us to make something of this chain that Dean abandoned. If you have any ideas or skills to offer, please voice them. I'll do what I can to help manifest any viable ideas.
