Re: [ANN][SHA-256][21coin] ULTRA RARE 21 COIN - Mine Now

When will there be a blockchain explorer etc...

Thanks!

Tried to get blockexplorer.com source running... And again found out why I hate PHP Smiley I'll see what else could be done...

Anyone has any idea what could bring people/popularity to 21coin? Apps? What is scarce coin's position on market? Probably not games, any ideas?

21.cryptohub.org have transaction fee of 0.00000021 Huh
I think this is too much I am mining 1-2 satoshi per block so 15 blocks only for the transaction : ((((
Looks like robbery to me.

It should get lowered IMHO, txfee (after a daemon update) is 1 satoshi now...

on http://coinminer.net/, is there any info which was the last block found and when - like on the stratum pools?

@inuyasha
and this "1e-5" is an interesting notation. I always thought it must be 1.0e-5 and that does not fit inside the field. Please update if auto payment is successful with this value

unfortunately it seems that it didn't ... did a manual payout Sad don't know what's up, but 1e-5 was the only thing that went through Smiley

so I dont want anything bad to this coin!

But you can not just copy a coin idea (42), copy some other coins code (sha256), then miss the only thing that needs to be programmed (transfer small amounts) and then let the pool owners solve the problem (jochem, ...) and go to cryptsy. But ok, they made a nice homepage Wink

Maybe adding a few decimal places for a scarce coin would be a good idea too Smiley

But I guess *it's* here (despite all the *problems*). And source is on github, unlike some other coins Smiley

Kudos to jochem. And the dev(s) for actually doing a sha-256 rare coin. Not totally prepared, but hopefully it'll get better w/o blockchain disappearing Smiley I do it for fun and experience, if profit comes along, i won't be mad, but hey... I didn't do it ( although I could have Tongue ).

I feel the spirit of open-source here, and that's good...

@jochem:
i cannot set value 0.0001 in automatic payout! it isn't edible.
btw, pool is doing ok regarding other issues

I've set 1e-5 sucessfully, the MPOS (pool sw) isn't really ready for such "crazy" coins Smiley However, exponential notation worked...

I haven't receive any payment yet though.

The dev should have premined 0.66% or 0.66 coins and everybody would be a happy cruncher. Still I think it's a bit of a 42 coin rip-off.

.66% would be exactly as it should be Smiley

Definitely 42 ripoff (as well as 21coin probably which too is a ripoff 42 Smiley That doesn't matter AFAIK that much. It's how the dev promotes the coin, how the community reacts, how will it attract new people and services/games/pool ops and many many more details... I AM number's 42 fan if you know what I mean Smiley But 66 might be more popular due to route 66 reference (just a thought) because apart from geeks and sci-fi fans (groups which probably overlap a lot:) not many people understand 42 jokes Smiley See dogecoin, it is kinda stupid, but it sticks out of the plethora of altcoins in existence a lot!

Anyway ... it might be a long ride on 66 Smiley I am a bit suspicious of the premine, but only time will tell.

We were all newbies once.  So...

Could someone explain "Pre-mine" to me?  Lots of complaints about this coin's 4.54%, and other coins don't have one.

It means that when the miners start mining, dev(s) will already have 4.54% of all coins to ever exist in their wallets. It could be used for promotions & payments for services and/or they could just dump it on exchange as soon as the coin gets to some exchange driving the price down for a what might be a long time (if it ever recovers, but they usually do)...

So it's a matter of trust. The dev is a newbie, so no trust build here yet... He may be trustworthy or not... I do not say one way or the other as I cannot know.

With the amount of coins I would consider 1% to be a HUGE premine let alone 4.54%.

It really doesn't matter what the amount of coins is. 4.54% is 4.54% Smiley

Apparently the daemon is broken somehow. Luckymine's Jochem (pool op) is working with the coin dev on a fix.

Buddy,

If you want to mine DOGE ... go mine DOGE. If you want to mine at middlecoin, stop wasting your time by writing long useless posts and just mine at middlecoin

Smiling and excusing yourself does not soften your "I want to tell you how to do it" post so beat it

Hi H2o,

First I wanna thank you for the great work you have done in this mining community. And I am very happy with what I get.

I noticed we are hopping between DOGE and LOT these days(correct me if im wrong), and I've been watch these two's profit ratio very closely. And I noticed the hopping happens very frequently too, so I presume this is automatic. The fact is after a bit of calculation, I had the conclusion that frequent hopping is actually hurting the income, especially in this case, DOGE is rising to a new high, and I think we should stick to DOGE for now, at least mine 1-2 hours before hopping to another. This will save a lot time and effort, as LOT's generating speed is quite fast which is less than 30sec, most work is wasted as new blocks was found constantly fast. I have 280x, so I can hash fast, but those with low hash rigs may not be able to keep up with the pace. Furthermore LOT is actually much less profitable compare to DOGE at this moment.

Could you please look into this matter, maybe my theory is wrong here, and I am not complaining about the current result at all.
and it's just my humble suggestion, I am not in doubt of how you run it, it never crossed my mind, from the bottom of my heart, I think no one could've done it better than you. Smiley

Thank you!
Alex

This STFO or GTFO attitude to factual questions or comments here is quite funny Smiley What could push someone to dismiss a valid remark in such a way? Well... funny... or nauseauting... can't really decide.

Hi,
Are you also shipping the PSU and USB hubs?

Hi.

USB Hubs (lo-quality, but works somehow, 4port $4/pc), heat sinks (with
hi-quality thermal paste, or separately), USB cabling, power cables (some
molex some PCIe), could be included on request for free.

PSU, mining raspberry PI & (big-tower) case & 6 really loud high speed 12cm
fans I wanted to keep, but hell, if you want it (it's *REALLY* DIY Smiley but it
works) I can't tell you the price right now, I'm a bit in a hurry (or let's
say work:). PI mining sw have some rough edges as I'm a linux professional and
I don't mind them Smiley But I can provide *some* support If someone wants the
whole thing.

I thought it would be cheaper to buy local PSU & case (if one is needed:) than
to send it, but I'm willing to sell it as is (with Ztexes being auctioned,
the rest for some reasonable price, not for free, but cheaper than new -- the
PSU is only few months old, Corsair 750W Smiley.

USB hubs & raspberry have some issues together (I can recommend other USB hubs
which worked for a friend of mine)... but the problems with raspberry & HUBS
could always be fixed remotely (just USB reset). (I mine on an old laptop now,
cause raspi's USBs are not that stable, with NTB it broke once in 2 months,
yesterday and i fixed it over SSH remotely).

Could post (ugly) photos when I get home Smiley Sorry, must go now, boss is
nagging.

Thanks for questions.
Take care.

I'm sorry for misinformation, there's no warranty for any of the boards, however they're all happily hashing (even though there's quite hot weather here now)... did 10500, could probably go to 10700 with a better cooling (all 12).

Well, I can do DHL or FedEx, or anything that is available here and @ your country.

Take care.
