Re: Is Bitcoin a Digital Gold??
by
inv_ker
on 30/08/2018, 13:36:01 UTC
At the moment I do not think that bitcoin is digital gold. But maybe in the future, but very far, it will happen, although I doubt it very much.

For me, I think that if we are going to put basis on its value we can say that it is considerable as gold, because the value of the bitcoin is almost like gold it is becoming more precious like gold and it is amazing because it is only a digital a numbers we cannot even touch it but it's price is amazing. thus, if we are talking or looking about the price of bitcoin, I think bitcoin is like a gold, because bitcoin is very expensive even though the price is falling but it still remains expensive.

Re: How do I find the Next Big thing like Bitcoin?
by
inv_ker
on 20/08/2018, 15:58:31 UTC
I think it's really hard to find another big thing like bitcoin because Bitcoin is always the best for investment. If you still want to find out, i suggest altcoin. I can try to learn about it

On my opinion I think that, people who invest in bitcoin on the year before bitcoin was known for having a cheap/low price and we should start investing from now. And I myself believe that in the near future bitcoin will have a much more expensive price than the price now. Thus, you can see that by doing a research by researching it and get every single information of every coin on the blockchain and on that, you can think next big thing like bitcoin. But right now the only coin that I think become very high in the near future is the Etheruem.

Re: Will Bitcoin become the reserve currency of the world?
by

on 19/08/2018, 08:20:16 UTC
I think bitcoin may not become a reserve currency of the world at this current time but perhaps in the near future where bitcoin is already under mass adaptation globally, then it may have a chance that it will be considered soon. Bitcoin is a growing currency and the leader of all cryptocurrencies will become the most valuable currency in the world where many people would wanted to have their own.

On my opinion, I think bitcoin will be the primary currency of this world for every country except of those country that banned the cryptocurrency. In a world we’re politics is controlling the financial system and reserve currency is doomed from its real purpose, but for power. But I also think that bitcoin will not be the reserve currency for the future as it is very much fluctuating but, Maybe Etherium will get a good stable position in the cryptocurrency world.

Re: Your investment strategy?

My investment strategy is, I would better know more about the market before. When I can know well about the cryptocurrency, then i can invest this.

My investment strategy is, i'll wait until the market price collapse, so I can get off and buy the cheapest price and wait until the price rises so that I can sell it on the high price. But you have to be patient on waiting when the price collapse amd when the price rises because if you dont have patience then you'll lose also and ending up selling your bitcoin on the cheapest price also.

Re: Is this the end of Bitcoin ?

I think this is ordinary. Everything new goes through the stage of birth, the stage of development. stage of triumph. death stage. Before the stage of triumph is still far away.

I don't think that this is the end of bitcoin, because until now bitcoin is still on top even though the value/price is dumping it can always rise up just like what happen last year. I agree to your opinion that this is ordinary and I think bitcoin's end stage is not yet exist but when it does, bitcoin had so many contribution on the world economy.

Re: How will crypto go long term?
by
inv_ker
on 16/08/2018, 13:19:44 UTC
I am fairly new to the crypto world. During my short time, I have contemplated how crypto will go down over the next few years.

Slowly, over time more regulations will be adopted worldwide. This is not because regulators are scared that people are getting scammed, but because they will start limiting this world from us small fish so the banks and "qualified" investors can tke over. All the large banks will then push their own crypto, and we will be left with nothing.

In my opinion, it is in our best interest to gain enough profit so we will have the funds to become qualified investors, and be able to re-enter the markets through the banks exchanges.

What does everyone else think? Do you think the big fish will continue allowing us to do trading long term, or are our days numbered?

Basically, what drives something to continue is a continuous support. Meaning, if there are more and more investors im cryptocurrencies then it will still continue on operating. Be patient and consistent are indeed needed here.

Re: Is the world ready for cryptocurrency?
by

Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.

As of now, we can clearly say that most of the countries are still hesitant on allowing or legalizing cryptocurrencies since its mode of transaction is too difficult to control. So the world itself is not really ready.

But the biggest fuck-up of all: Lightning Network / Lightning Labs is led by Elizabeth Stark.  If you like train wrecks, get Elizabeth to lead us there.

You can see for yourself how Lightning works...

Personally speaking, I have not thought of "not having women" here or in this kind of business since I know a lot of them specifically my students are involve here. Anyone can be part of this forum since anyone has the opportunity to have a better future.

Re: Bitcoin and altcoin: Who will take control of the market?
by
inv_ker
on 15/08/2018, 20:12:57 UTC
In times of volatility and uncertainty, investors tend to favor one particular crypto that has high liquidity and is stable. At the current time, Bitcoin price trend still dominates the market trend.

However, Bitcoin leading position seems to be doubtable as Altcoins have recorded a stronger rise recently and the market is less affected by Bitcoin. Instead of following the general price trend of bitcoin, many cryptocurrencies also start to follow their own “trajectory”.

This week, the altcoin works much better than both Bitcoin and Ethereum. The added value of the ERC20 tokens and the increasing demand for small cryptocurrencies of investors in the global market has proved that Crypto investors are more confident in betting their money on this market.

Saxo Investment Bank from Danish, with its aim to focus on online trading and investment, has announced in a recent report that the capital inflows from organizations to the Crypto market will lead to a rise in prices for most of these currencies.

I think we should not just compare bitcoin to altcoins. Bitcoin is what we know the foundation of cryptoworld and altcoins are just product from the creation of bitcoin. Bitcoin will never be defeated by altcoins.

Re: Bitcoin will kill itself
by
inv_ker
on 01/08/2018, 13:43:26 UTC
One of the best features of Bitcoin is it's anonymity. This is also one of the reason why countries are banning or at least hesitant to embrace the technology. From money laundering to illegal drug transactions to human trafficking. We always blame the FUD from mainstream media, financial institutions like banks, the government etal. But do you think, the one that would "kill" Bitcoin is actually the nature of it.

Here's another news where Bitcoin was being used in an illegal activity. This will raise a lot of eyebrows because it concerns our children.

http://www.news.com.au/finance/money/investing/bitcoin-could-become-illegal-after-its-blockchain-was-discovered-containing-child-abuse/news-story/bf486e6e8de453fd7ad2abba019952dd

I hope that bitcoin will stay positive and stay consistent on providing us better opportunities. I also hope that bitcoin will stay humble for the good.

Re: Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment?
by
inv_ker
on 01/08/2018, 11:29:54 UTC
Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment?

This damages the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was not created to become an investment. Before Bitcoin, there were some digital currencies years back, the goal was always to be able to create a (digital) currency free from central banks and governments.
Cypherpunks and other anarcho-capitalists are at the origin of this idea, perhaps 20 or 30 years ago. None were intended to make an investment to be rich quickly.
You won't find in the white paper "investing" mentioned, you won't find any post from Satoshi mentioning it

Considering Bitcoin as an investment, this is the reason why we have more and more regulations, G20 summits and others craps, KYC, etc...
The word "Crypto-assets" didn't exist before, why did they create it? Because you even consider it an investment, then why shouldn't they?
Bitcoin could be a lot more accepted and used by now. Why should a merchant agree to be paid in Bitcoin? He wants money, not a piece of your investment.

You're not even investing, you are just gambling with money.
Go to the altcoins board, you will surely find plenty of ICOs where you can say you invested in. I have something for you, ICOs used to raise money are no different than "Crowdfunding". If you want to invest then there are a lot of Crowdfunding websites where you can invest in real startups with fewer risks, (you won't find any project using photos from Pixabay...)

Why don't we see cryptographers anymore? Guess the reasons

Definitely not. Bitcoin can always be considered as investment no matter how you see it. This is how bitcoin is being much more appreciated by people.

Re: Its time to move on, and ignore the BTC !!!
by
inv_ker
on 01/08/2018, 03:31:28 UTC

For me it's clear, from the moment BTC went to the Dow it slide down and be played by the big boys.
More and more we see up's and down's controlled by some big players between 6000 and 7500.
Alt coins are following that vibe, and some step out the line but be pushed in the direction the big players want.
I ask myself who is behind it, are governments behind it that not like the BTC and want it pushed down to get people frustrated.
So frustrated that many of us, get sick and tired of the up line pushed down already few time around 7400.
Ofcourse we are human, and after some push down's, we want to be strong and not give up.
But we also not want to be that person that miss the boot, where the rest break and sell the BTC.
It's almost 12 o clock when this price will go up around 7400 again, and drops down again i see a huge drop coming.
And the faith in going up higher, will be lost more and more. And that is what they want.

So what are you going to do ?   Am I wrong ?      It's massive indoctrination dunn by huge selling dumps.

We have 2 options Guys, let them play with us and let them win.

Or show them that BTC is much stronger then some Jealous scary Government, they need to be stopped.

We can only win this battle if you leave your finger off the Sell button.

Succes gr Bas  sorry for shitty English

It is a fact that there really times when bitcoin falls and it is a natural thing. But the question is, are you just here for that reason? You will just dumped bitcoin like that? Well, it shows how weak you are. Bitcoin, just like others said, it changes lives for the better.

Re: Bitcoin or Property? What might be the best investment?
by
inv_ker
on 29/07/2018, 15:45:23 UTC
We had a very interesting discussion over the weekend and people debated if it was better to invest in property or to invest in Bitcoin. The argument was as follows :

1. Most people cannot afford to buy property, so they take a home loan at a Bank. The home loan is paid back with interest and some of these loans are spread out over 20 years to make it affordable to the person who takes out the loan. So, over that 20 years the house of $100 000 will cost you say $1 000 000. {$900 000 paid in interest}

The argument is also that the property has to increase in value, with more than $900 000 for you to say that it was a good investment AND you have to sell that property to get that profit.

2. The other side of the room said it was better to rent a smaller property and to invest the "savings" into something like Bitcoin, because your profit will pay for a bigger deposit or even a whole property in a few years time.

I think paying a high interest rate to a Bank is just as bad as paying rent to a Landlord, because you are getting screwed in both these circumstances.  Angry

We all want to live in big houses that we cannot afford.  Roll Eyes

It is better for me to invest first in bitcoin then if it is successful, everything will follow like properties, cars, businesses etc... But it still on your strategy what you will give emphasis more.

"Social media giant Facebook has unveiled a new policy that bans advertisements involving bitcoin and initial coin offerings, among others..."

I think this one really has something to do with money/invome thing. Just a feeling though. But this makes us realize that bitcoin needs more support now than ever to stay in this world.

Re: What if someone forgot the key to their bitcoin wallet ?
by

What are the measures to keep your private key safe and in memory ? Are there any alternatives to retrieve the key back ?

I once read a simple reminder for everyone that says," Don't trust your mind. WRITE IT DOWN." This is totally true and should be followed. Just secure it once you have written it printed it. And try to rely or trust someone with your secret.
