Are you betting with someone? There is nothing wrong with altcoins as the market is in a bearish condition for some good time, once the market recover altcoins will start recovering.
Why are there barely any pure crypto coins that are Chinese? I means coins like Vertcoin, Litecoin, Viacoin... But there are a lot of platforms instead...

Have you looked into the NEO project? NEO is a Chines project and I think it is a good competitor to the Ethereum. There some other good projects from Chines people like QTUM.

This is a really bad precedent set by some bounty managers, and people are selling/offering their IDs for few bucks tokes.

If I need to choose one then it'll be Bitcoin. However, if I have a choice of both then I would like to invest 50% each as both are really good coins to invest.

Most of the time yes it is just a wide guess, however, sometimes we know what will be the outcome and most of the bounties Token value decrease after the bounty distribution.
It is no longer news that Bitcoin went below 6k recently and all hell was let loosed but generally the coin remained within the 6k threshold. We are almost half of July and nothing drastic has happened as per the price of Bitcoin. Do we expect to see a serious upward trend beyond the current price in August?
I think there are good chances we'll see a positive trend towards crypto in August and from here on to the end of the year we'll see a good increase for bitcoin price.

I think Elixir is not a bad option along with EOS or STRAT both of these project have a great potential and once the market starts recovering they push hard.

Good for you, it all depends how much time you can give crypto understanding, normally I just spend an hour daily for crypto updates.

I think spreading it into 5-6 coins will be a better option. WAVES is a really good coin to invest along with NEO, SYSCoin, XRP, and EOS.
