Chatted with FusionSilicon support for a bit, they said that the new version of firmware is being tested and will be available on their web site soon.

It's important to note that there are at least 2 control boards V3 and V4. Version 4 has SSH locked out "for security reasons" according to support. The latest version is 4.18 for the version 4 control boards and they would not supply me with a file download. You cannot install a version 4 firmware on the version 3 boards and vise versa according to support.

Hey guys, @astraleureka is going to help extract the image as I'm not sure how to do that correctly. Will post once we get it. Interested to see what else this machine can do.

Thanks for the firmware, I have not installed it yet because the hardware version says 4.0 instead of 3.0. I have 6 X7's and 3 different firmware versions (4 if you count the one you sent me). Not sure how to extract the firmware from the unit but sure would like to know.

Here are my observations:

1) Any firmware after the February release has ssh account locked out and if you upload a settings file (cgminer.conf) from a backup it has no effect on the unit as far as frequency and voltage.

2) There at least 4 different firmware versions out there, maybe more, I've been successful at underclocking and overclocking the February version only

Chipless,

A couple suggestions

     1) ignore efudd, especially the banter
     2) get a zencash wallet in addition to the zcash wallet and post it.

I dont mine zcash and I'm sure there are others that do not but I would happily make a zencash contribution. This thread is full of back and forth crap that takes away from the benefit of a community working together.

Yeah, that’s cool. You have failed to see that I was the one working with and for the community until this tard decided the best way forward was to take my work and put his name on it, then post releases of “his” stuff in my threads.

Otherwise, you are exactly correct in that my exchange here is purposeful in repaying the kindness he has provided me for months in my own threads.

-j

it's just a suggestion.

I have not failed to see it, I would like you both to stop but others might find it entertaining.

What is going on with x11 ports, I cannot connect? I am mining just fine on Eth and Equihash ports with my rigs but sometime last week the x11 ports stopped working for me. Choosing a specific coin port does not help and neither does auto switching ports

I will add that it is just not me having this issue. In the Miningrigrentals discord there are several rig operators experiencing this issue as well.

OK so it is probably operator error but I had to go in re-adjust the overclock settings. Haven't touched that in a very long time.

Update today seems to have broken something with my RX480 rigs, they keep crashing.

Is there anyway for me to roll back?

Getting AMD ADL Library not found and then a reboot or  I see "Rig is rebooting due to system error. It could be caused by too much overclock/undervolt."

It then restarts and loads fine for a minute and then crashes again

I have 2 rigs doing the same exact thing

I'm guessing it will be some time before we start to see some alt-firmware released. The unit I have has been running decent for a few days. I had to shut it down and move it to another location because of the noise it puts out but other than that its been right on around 264GH/S average.

Is it a good investment? Probably not. IMO mining is too volatile to consider any new miner an "investment"  its more like a hobby for me at least and if I make some money at it some day AWESOME!

Got scammed by these bastards, I am sure they have already moved on to their next fake project. Wish there was a good way of tracking them.
