When Chris "Tingles" Matthews asked Debbie Wasserman Schultz "What's the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" the DNC chairwoman couldn't come up with an answer.
When you've got a socialist running for the Democratic nomination for president, what is the difference, Ms. Schultz?

On MSNBC's Hardball Thursday night, host Chris Matthews stumped DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) when he asked her what the difference is between a Democrat and a socialist.
"What is the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews asked, leaving Wasserman Schultz at a loss for words.
"I used to think there is a big difference. What do you think it is?" Matthews tried again. "A Democrat like Hillary and a socialist like Bernie Sanders."
Wasserman Schultz again was unable to answer and instead tried to tell Matthews what the difference between a Democrat and a Republican is.
"The more important question is what is the difference between being a Democrat and being a Republican," she said.
"What's the big difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews again asked.
"You're chairman of the democratic party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist," Matthews reminded her.
"The relevant debate that we'll be having this campaign is what's the difference between a Democrat and a Republican," Schultz said.
Schultz, however, was able to tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican.
"The difference between a Democrat and Republican is that Democrats fight to make sure everybody has an opportunity to succeed and the Republicans are strangled by their right-wing extremists," she said.

Matthews of course knows that sanders is an FDR progressive. But he, like most in MSM is doing what he can to get the corporate democrat Clinton elected, for the democratic party is owned by the oligarchs, just like the GOP is.
FDR progressives gave America social security, unemployment insurance, medicare, sent ww2 soldiers to college as well as myself, a vietam vet, and kept all of the income and wealth from going to the top dogs.
Since Clinton committed treason on the people the democratic party represented since FDR, the democratic party moved away from progressivism, supporting working people, and representing them, and Obama is no progressive. Obama is a corporate, bankster democrat, and if you cannot see that by his actions,, you are dumber than a bag of hammers. Which of course, most right wing working americans are these days. Victims of a lack of an education, and clever, emotional propaganda from the very people, who hate them, but who will use them in their greed.
SO what this video tells us, is that Matthews supports the corporate owed, the banker owned democratic party, and knows sanders, a real progressive, is a threat. Of course Matthews would not want to see sanders speak in prime time at the democratic convention, even as he is clearly growing his grassroots support each week, with more energy in this run from his supporters than Clinton could ever get.
So, sanders is a threat to the corporate owed democratic party, and their sycophants like Matthews have a job of marginalizing sanders, in any way possible.
I hope Sanders makes the chill run up Matthews legs when he beats Clinton, and he pisses in his pants on air, while losing control of his bowels as well.
