My buddy helped a student at a college setup a mining rig in his dorm (for a fee). Says it was a fantastic idea since electricity was included. A week later his roommate reported him to the school and states that he does not feel comfortable with the equipment use in the room. The school says it was a breach of contract, along those lines, not considered "normal use of utility" included in the room and board contract.

He is now selling his rig. The end.

Ive read that bitcoin gold will potentially use equihash algo which can possible be mined with GTX 1070 and so on. Just wondering if RX 580 can be used to mine Bitcoin Gold?

you might need to plug each PSU into its own surge protector. I had the same problem before, I plugged 1200w and 850w in the same surge protector and it kept shutting off. Now i separated the 1200w on one surge protector and 850w on another surge protector. Been working fine since then.

never got m.2 adapter to work on GA MOBO. On AsRock MOBO it was simple plug and play...

you have to make sure if your Memory is Samsung or Hynix.. My Sapphire RX 580 SE came with SAMSUNG memory and is hashing like a boss after mods.

Each GPU hashes ~667 H/s XMR.

Total XMR Hash ~6657 H/s on 10 GPU. You can push it more up to your preference.

Nitro+ RX 580 are one of the best cards with the right Mods on it...

I get this error too. I tried running all the different -a 0, -a 1, -a 2, -a 3, and -a 4 commands but still coming up.

Driving me nuts. When does Claymore Cryptonote start support the RX 580 series?
