ok so someone "broke into" my account... has stole about 50 ftc.
Their wallet address is locked in my account and I can't change it.
I have about 26ftc in there now and 57 unconfirmed.
I changed my min payout to 999 but since you are doing payouts by hand I'm afraid you are going to give the thief more of my money.

I will PM you my login and payout address to use.  I would like my stolen money back too :/

I can't get on the site either   ok well they are back up    Smiley

I think someone else said that.

should have about 100 feathers in there.

Can anyone access the site right now?

edit:  I haven't gotten anything in my wallet either.  will edit when I can get a payout.

I'm not mining here until that is fixed.

I'm going to try out ub3rl33t... similar layout to give-me-ltc.

Re: How about this for a rig?
by

I would say get risers for all the cards as there is going to be some major heat on the middle card(s) being so close.

Do these cards need powered risers?    I'm about to add a card to my rig and only got regular 16x risers(installing this weekend).
I thought that the direct PSU -> GPU power connect allowed a normal riser.

btw i'm no expert - have only built 1 ltc rig recently and still learning.

It looks like only some caps got knocked off.  If so - that is really easy to fix.
I know a local hackerspace would probably have the parts and even do it for free for the cool factor.  I would.

Good thing is since they are smt caps - they pop off pretty clean without opening up and getting the electrolytic pcb eating goo all over.

Seriously though... an electronic repair shop could knock that out in a few minutes - if it's only the caps that were damaged.

Hell you could probably reattach the same ones yourself with a soldering iron if the caps did pop off clean without pulling the legs out.
New caps would only cost a couple of bucks anyhow.

This is all assuming that the only issue is the capacitors being knocked off.

I certainly would try that first.  Could possibly have it working in a day or less     Grin

If you posted higher res pictures of the damage to circuit boards - I'm sure alot of people here could help figure out any other possible damage.

okokok... On Sunday amazon had quite a few of the twin frozr III's and I bought 2 (should have done all 3 for this rig).
Taco - Awesome write up - but I have to wonder if this post helped caused the shortage of these cards and drove the price up on ebay to over 900$ lol

those reaper settings are spot on btw.. I'm pulling a little over 600kh a card running them stock in a dual card rig.  Def a good recommendation on them.  Thanks!  Amazing gpus
I'll tip you some of their mined LTC Smiley

I'm going to try out the 7970's from this line on another rig I think.  Have you used those?

Give BFL a break everyone!  They're still waiting on their batch 2 avalon to arrive so that they can open it up and see how it's really done!
Now you can blame avalon for bfl's delay.  That and radio shack not having better than 7xxxseries reg's.

What really bugs me is the parted together feeling of generic USB hubs in daisy chained in the minirig (or what ever it's called... I'm starting to unconsciously block out anything BFL from my brain)  That's a dirt cheap and simple circuit to make well under the cost of purchased ones even at alibaba prices or china street prices ... or was that when they were just showing the prototype of the case with nothing of value.  At least the minirig doesn't look like a spray painted AppleTV or Macmini.

Avalon... when are you going to help these poor guys out ?  lol... you might save a lot of bfl customers from suicide/divorce/PTSD/unpaid mortgages/unpaid student loans/second jobs/etc... it'd be like mining for karma  Kiss

OP - I do not have any more BTC, but I can offer to send you USD if you can convert it to BTC, I would like to get into your pool as well. If one of the motive was to divide the risk, and you have more BTC, then you can take up my offer.

this is crazy. people cant give their money/btc fast enough to this guy... this has epic fail written all over it. i really hope your batch 3 shipments arrive well before bfl's 'product'

tldr; btc NEVER goes down in price, avalon batch 3 will ship long before bfl, pep's have more dollars than cents.

gl coinhorder, hope to never have to see that scammer tag under your handle...

i think it's "more dollars than sense" not cents.

How much BTC to cross your bridge? , troll

naysaying in a group that has nothing to do with you... ho hum.
thanks for your concern I guess.

He has sent alot of personal identification to various investors and has been checked out... I have.

Would need quite a set of brass balls to screw over this many people in this community...  it's not that much money to do that.
Def a lower risk for me than buying a bfl rig or any asic.

Hey CH, are you going to start a blog or something easy to keep us updated?  Hope so... half of the point of me investing is trickle profits, and the other half is a cheap way to join in on the asic fun/drama/excitement and having a reason to follow it.

Cheers!  thanks again.

So is it a good time to make another transfer yet... is the instant bar back to green?
And how many orders were held up? - will there be some major buying on the exchanges now that bitinstant is now able to put a day's worth of buying power in peoples hands?  Joking on how many orders...  Grin

But are y'all good for more orders to be "instant" again?  (no sarcasm implied)

- patient and hope to be a very faithful customer.

taken care of.
thank you very much for your hard work.
I know alot of people get upset easy... the context of all of BTC can sometimes be paranoid.

Totally legit... I can understand the delay during heavy trading and I'm assuming bitinstant is more a grassroot startup rather than some 10Million$ venture backed company.

Just please find a way to communicate when there is a problem - in less than 24 hours.  I understand though that there are many complex ramifications that are involved.
Keep up the good fight... lot's of respect from here - I wouldn't want to be in your shoes in this point in the BTC game... but
I think we all (especially noobs) need to understand that what BTC needs more than anything else is a good bridge between physical currency and BTC.

If it were easy to bridge that gap there would be a bunch of options... since there arent many options than bitinstant, I can only assume that it really is not easy to do!

Grin  cheers and looking forward to BTC and bitinstant prospering.  I think your name will go down in history somewhere under Sitoshi's if you bridge that gap.  Thank god a flaming troll isn't running this bridge for us to cross.

props

Re: Please explain why the following isn't a BAD issue for Bitcoin. Thank You.

i suppose it will be like in the old days where 1 dollar would buy you something worth like 75 dollars worth of corn/tobacco/shovels/etc... think 1800's.
So they would talk about parts of a dollar.  I think the value of BTC is just getting to be where this will be a real concern/convenience.

Ironically... we used to say "That'll be 2 bits" or a "two bit theif" ... there meaning 2 bits worth .25 dollars.  I had an uncle that in the 80's still would complain that phone calls shouldnt cost 2 bits when the regular price went from 10 cents/call to a quarter.
Now we are saying a BITcoin is worth blahblah... what will we call the bits of BTC?  hehe!
Is a bytecoin worth 8 BTC.. and a word coin 4... and we could have blockcoins and such!
Actually I think the use of uBTC is already being used some... just till now with the current values rising might it be seen more.

i dont think so. We are getting better and better cpu's/gpu's that are both faster and use less power.
+1 nail on the head..
Technology will advance multiple times within the next few years, todays best GPU is next years bottom range..

`Kel

I used to feel that major computing tech advances came mostly from military and video games...
Looks like BTC and other cryptoC's are starting to directly influence the drive to improve and develop technology in a significant way.
I see alot of talk about where BTC and it's value will be in 1,2,etc years...
but DAMN think of what kind of mining tech will be out there!
That is my soft analysis that has me interested in BTC again... that and the price change or course.
