I just read on Btcjam blog that they are closing down: https://blog.btcjam.com/2017/05/25/btcjam-is-closing/, now I am just wondering if big players in thebitcoin industry are closing down, is there any future for bitcoin really.

I came to know about bitcoin through btcjam when i was introduced there to borrow. Eve in this forum, looks most signature campaigns might close down because of the ever rising price of bitcoin. Most of them have reduced their payout amounts for posting by more than 50%. Is this a good sign or a bad sign for the bitcoin development?

Best would have been if you can provide a preview of your created avatar (with watermark obviously so that no one can just download and use it) so that interested buyers can see it and place an order if interested.

A big German food delivery service (Lieferando/Takeaway.com) is now accepting Bitcoin in Germany!
It's a huge thing for Germany, they do not have a lot of stores accepting Bitcoin.
Of course it's a little bit of a marketing thing for Lieferando, but who cares.

I really wouldn't blame you for not understanding what was the ransomware attack because there's not that much people that you can talk to about it. The ransomware attack has encrypted[1] the files of users (Windows operating system) and you will see a message saying that you have to deposit bitcoins to the given address before they give you the decryption key. It has happened worldwide and was on the local and international news so no wonder why everyone talked about it.

[1] Meaning: You can't use your files unless you decrypt it with the right key. Encrypted files are basically like files that have password that you have to put.
