I searched for a VPS in the United States, but for the same price I just found VPS with a maximum of 512 MB RAM

I've been using these guys for some vps testing.

Very fast VPS, works like a charm. The VNC console provides a virtual console view of the server if you need to "ctrl-alt-delete" it or watch the boot messages.

Only drawback is they don't like CPU hogs and will stop any process that runs at 100% after 24 hours or so. So they might not be suitable if mining is your purpose, but for all other projects they are cheap, they are fast and they answer their support mails in a timely manner. I recommend them.

-Michael

They are pretty cheap. But could mine with them if you set one core less so the cpu will be just under 100%?
Which one do you have? and how many khashes does it produce?

Does anyone know of a special miner build that has been optimized for ARM processors? Do ARM processors even have any instructions that are useful for hashing purposes?

I was kind of wondering if I could somehow put my Raspberry Pi board to work mining Yacs ... :-)

-Michael

The raspberry has a powerful gpu the cpu is not that impressive.
Maybe an ARM farm could be interesting

I think the altcoins are what bitcoin needs because if everyone was mining bitcoin the difficulty would increase like crazy.
Also the whole fun of mining would be gone. These altcoins are fun to mine because on low hardware you could mine several coins a day.
Personally i think besides litecoin, that yacoin has a good chance because of the CPU-only mining.
But only time will tell.
