One reason was the laziness of devs to contact bittrex eariler or team up with other exchanges.
You are clearly misinformed. Exchanges were contacted plenty in advance.

I've just found this coin as highly profitable, and after the problem with nicehash I would like to give it a go.
Problem is, I can't find a miner for this.. link in first post won't work for me now.
My question is, do you have any suggestion for a miner?

Just dont store all users BTC in a hot wallet like nicehash and it'll be ALOT Safer, smdh 
They don't have BTC. We get paid in USD. You can withdraw in BTC, but this means they exchange USD for it. I just don't know if this is safer or not. Any feedback on this?
Well they have the BTC somewhere to back the USD they are sending users. Which they are profiting off of at that point cause they are HODLing BTC and paying users out at current USD rate, with BTC skyrocketing they are making $$
But that BTC better be offline unlike nicehash or everything could be gone in seconds.
TFW when Nicehash gets hacked, Storing 57+mil with on a hot wallet, and hacker gets away with 57 mil.. HODL overnight and already worth almost 65Mil..
who in their right mind stores that much BTC in a hot wallet..
