Re: Stable Coins Necessary?

I think the competition of cryptocurrencies is really good but I don't know if we need all of these stablecoins. Have you ever looked into Ampleforth? Their elastic supply protocol promises a stable unit of account so they aren't technically a stable coin. It looks like they have a pretty badass team too

Honestly I think it's a concept that people tend to understand 1:1 easier in their minds. The thing that people don't realize is that fiat is just as volatile and we need a currency that helps with dealing with not only remains stable but does so over time. I've been looking into an elastic supply policy from ampleforth which changes the amount of amples according to demand. They will always remain as 1 ample and not lose its value overtime.

Everyone will talk smack until they see its success and fear falling behind. I don't love seeing a centralized coin but I also think it will push forward conversation of crypto among baby boomers

With a lot of issues and rumors Tether or USDT is getting involved in, we really do need decent alternatives. It's good to have more backup stablecoin if ever Tether goes south.

in my eyes tether has already tanked. I think it's time we really get into the viable alternatives like havven. I think crypto-collateralized systems are way better than trusting a "bank"

That article is correct stable coins are like reserves and not hard assets.

The most common role that everyone knows about stable coins is when the market is going down, it's a good place to convert your total profit and capital for reserving it when the market didn't go well.

Agreed. Out of all of the stablecoins out there, I think my favorite is havven. great backing, team, and roadmap.

I think of these altcoins as being the best to invest in, what do you think?
1. Litecoin, launched in the year 2011 was the initial cryptocurrency following bitcoin.
2. Ethereum
3. Zcash
4. Dash
5. Ripple
6.Monero

I think I would personally add cardano and havven

Then what do you think about stablecoins? I think ones like Havven pave the way to mass adoption since the biggest obstacle to crypto is price volatility. I would NEVER buy coffee with btc lol

I think it's always wise to buy btc and eth. Cardano too, but I've been pretty bullish on Havven ($hav). I think stablecoins are going to be the next big thing.
