The reason why is because it is already a top player in the game and just hit exchanges yesterday. They are aiming to make ETH main stream, and contend with big dogs like WeChat. If it is a success it will be well beyond 10x. Possibly 100x. If it is a failure then it will just tank. I believe in the project. I think 10x is possible within 6 months.

I thought Blackcoin was dead after it flew a couple of years ago, apparently I was wrong, time to check out what's been happening.
Blackcoin was never dead. Its development did not stop even in the hardest time of long bear market in 2015 to 2016.

I don't think there is a chance, that things will decline and then wait years for another burst. NO F# WAY!!
This has became such mainstream right now, the maximum bear market will last is 1-2 months now. And the reason for bear market to start is the split on the august of 1st! Until then prices are likely to decline and possibly make a good entry point. The future will be uncertain and for that reason people will rather have their positions in USD and at that point, it will be the cheapest.

I agree. A lot of thing have changed now, there might be very short bear market in 2017 or 2018, or maybe no bear market at all.

I've been researching altcoint trading the last couple of days and I keep wondering:
What is the relationship between an altcoin and the project it is connected to?
As I understand it, coins are not like stock. They do not represent a share in the projects assets and earnings.
Coins seem to be simply a token of optimism, like buying a bands t-shirt at the concert.
You rep the band, but you do not share in the profits of the band.
Am I right or completely wrong?
What are we buying when we buy an altcoin, other than just a token saying we like this particular project?

I think you are referring to the ICO tokens. Technically they are not "currency" but "asset". You can see the different tags at coinmarketcap.com
This showed how weak Ethereum network. They locked all wallets and network by only 1 new ICO. MEW didn't work, they broadcasted TX's then delete it with no warning. Transactions can't be reversible. 420k ETH moved in 3 hours and all network shut down. I wonder what will be Bancor exchange price after this hype.
