Fully explained in the Bitcoin Halving 2020 Price Prediction video https://youtu.be/1xK1KZZsMZs

Most likely a bull run. after the halving. However, some analysts believe the pump is already priced in.

Re: The 2020 Bitcoin Halving: See what'll Definitely Happen.

Actually read a news article that the Halving might not have cause the big previous bull run and might not have done it this time. Covered that in todays Analysis and News video https://youtu.be/dowwTpAd0-k

But looking at all world events: Money Printing, Trade Wars, Hyper inflation, COVID-19 and so on I expect a bull run coming. However it might drop first but I see the halving event as a possible contributor to a bull run of Bitcoin.

Re: Which investment is a safe haven Gold or Bitcoin?
by
jago25_98
on 03/05/2020, 16:29:08 UTC
Gold is heavy, physical, difficult to move from one place to the other. The so-called Physical Supply Chain is what makes Bitcoin " better".

As you can keep your bitcoin easily with you in whatever quantity you want. In times of disruption, you can move anywhere in the world with your whole capital. Although gold has value as a precious metal, I do believe that Bitcoin outperforms Gold as a safe haven. But if you look at building a portfolio I believe diversifying is key and both gold and bitcoin are good to have in there.

Covered it in today's video (also previous videos)  https://youtu.be/e2_L7YHS-bU  Explaining Gold vs. Bitcoin

by

Nice chart. The great spot on the Bullish Flag.
This price right now seems due for a correction. There will be inefficient miners dropping offline. I can imagine they are ready to cash out.
You can see that price is flattening at the moment and volume is extremely low. I think there's a big move coming soon Source: https://youtu.be/VV3JFhmy7U4

Re: Bitcoin the New Gold & Dash for Payments?
by

on 16/12/2017, 09:02:16 UTC
Will Bitcoin become the new gold and will Dash be used for daily payments? Any other potential crypto currencies in mind that can replace BTC or DASH?

I think so, but not necessarily DASH, there are a number of coins that could be the day to day payment coin, litecoin or ripple for example.

Bitcoin is slowly getting beyond the point of being used as an everyday payment method with fees as high as they are. I hope to see this price continue upwards in 2018.

Yes I think you're right.
But I heard rumours that the pattern of Bitcoin is over and that it will choose a direction anytime soon. I'm a BTC believer and will hold mine for long term.

What about the high transaction fees of bitcoin? Can you imagine if amazon accepted bitcoin payments and people order a book for $20 and have to pay high transaction fee which makes it too expensive? I see BTC more as a investment than a currency for daily payments.

Of course the fees are way too big now. And I still believe that the current size of the mempool is unnatural. And you are right on this, there was already a story about Steam no longer accepting Bitcoin exactly because of the fees.
There are already merchants accepting some of the altcoins here and there, I know that too.

For now, the best option is indeed to work with Bitcoin-as-asset, not Bitcoin-as-currency if you cannot use SegWit.
But Bitcoin is evolving. SegWit is already a big step. LN will follow. The devs will improve Bitcoin until it will become fit to be used as currency.

And let me give an example. I have a "Bitcoin card". Before, converting Bitcoin to fiat was expensive. They moved to SegWit and now I don't even know if it's for free or just dirt cheap. It's a good step forward.

Segwit gives hope! I believe in btc. Still regret selling a lot back in 2014. Luckily I still have a good amount left. If the devs manage to implement innovations that reduce the fees and speed up the transactions then btc will be used as investment and daily payments.

No. Bitcoin IS the new gold. And, after a couple more fixes, it will be still Bitcoin used for daily payments.

Dash doesn't fit to this equation. There are many faster coins, there are other anon coins (and there will always be a debate on how anon really is one or another), there are more stable coins.
The only thing you try to do here is to advertise Dash. You don't really want to see other coin names here, so don't ask for them.

That's quite a statement. I don't try to advertize Dash at all. In the topic question I even ask if there are other coins people think that will be used as payments. Anyway, I see you're not a fan of Dash, that's fine.

Why DASH ? It have very fast transaction speed ?  I think when all cryptoworld turn to DASH it also overload how BTC.
After cryptokitties its exactly not etherium for mass transaction we understand
the best way modification btc network - segwit 2x 10x and etc

Masternodes. Unlike Bitcoin, Dash introduced Masternodes to incentivize users with payments to secure the network and add cool transactional features like InstantSend. Masternode operators invest 1,000 dash to host a Masternode.
InstantSend. Instasend uses the instantX Masternode feature to send and confirm transactions in seconds. Bitcoin’s block propagation takes an average of 10 minutes, and 6 typical conformations for large purchases could even take an hour.

Dash is pretty old altcoin but bitcoin will always dominate market, Ethereum has lots of potential and price & demand for ETH is already rising.

Bitcoin will always be used as payment method while ethereum will be used to invest in ICO and to gamble in smart contract based platform like vdice, cryptokittens etc.

ETH can have many applications while bitcoin will be kind of crypto payment.

However dash is not that much older than  bitcoin. Among all the crypto currency bitcoin is the only currency comes to the crypto market first time by satoshi. I see many people having bitcoin is like a asset and invest their many funds then they have on the real time investment.
Smart contracts are not based bitcoin it the ethereum oriented project. That is reason eth value grows snc being stable in the market.

You probably meant that bitcoin is not much older than dash Wink.
I definitely agree that bitcoin is more an investment asset. If you look to LTC which has actually more potential than btc to be used for payments as the fees are much lower and the transaction time faster.

Agree but the danger for ETH is that their blockchain can be stuck with transactions caused by for example these kittens.

Bitcoin is being pegged as Gold v2.0 by big figures like the Winklewoss twins etc and this is no surprise considering the rate at which it is increasing with time. 2017 has clearly been a game changing year for bitcoin and the rest of the crypto world and I am expecting 2018 to be even better for the entire crypto world. On the other hand, Dash is rallying alongside bitcoin and is rising like crazy, but it still has a LONG way to go before being considered for daily payments. Bitcoin is clearly a better option here.

Well I agree with you if the transaction fee of BTC was lower than it currently is. The fee is only interesting for transferring big amounts of money. Dash is faster, better encrypted and the transaction fees are way lower.

It's just a rumor to scare people. There are numerous other articles in the past about
China's ban but it never happened. And IF it happens, not much will change. Bitcoin can easily survive without China.

It's so easy to call something a scam, some people complain about the whitepaper, no team, roadmap, or just the concept of the coin. Ofcourse there are a lot of useless coins but on the other side there are so many great icos. I invested this year already in 5 icos and made 16 times my investment back! New coin TrafficX is going to go high! Guys, not every new ico is a scam! Read their ambition. Eventhough you have a great plan you need to have someone with ambition to make it happen!

Re: Will Bitcoin die soon?
by
jago25_98
on 24/07/2017, 05:54:55 UTC
Bitcoin is not going anywhere, atleast not in the near future... We may see some other coins with bigger growth during the next years but probably not enough to overtake BTC as the 'main' coin in the crypto market.

No mate, bitcoin is going into the top list of crypto currencies and it's not about to die soon. There are a lot of people that are sticking and saying that they will put their faith in bitcoin. And I won't say that there are just some other coins that will "take over" bitcoin, it has a big support from the community, companies, establishments and citizens.
Bitcoin is leading and definitely the future. I will hold on to my btc and don't sell. In a few years there are so many people who had wished they'd kept them. Bitcoin will be more well-known and more accepted in the future. Can you imagine if a few major internet companies will accept bitcoin payments...
People let themselfs easily scare by bad and fake news. The one with patience will be rewarded.
